Great store for the Polish deli stuff, or just about anything you need. This is the only store that sells my favorite bread from Syrena Bakery in Brooklyn (razowy). The kinder chocolates and other Milky chocolates are the best! They have so many sweets my kids love coming here. Good selection of imported beverages as well. Take out food is not bad. read more

Such a cute polish market in new Britain. I am a percentage of polish- definitely can't speak it but follow a few traditions in my family. It was so neat to see all grocery item labels written in polish and see all the traditional foods and desserts. They also have a cute selection of handcrafted polish apparel and Christmas decor. I absolutely love their variety of polish candy too! Can't wait to come back and try more! read more

I am so torn. I am also very disappointed. Bardzo rozczarowany. The store is ultra clean, beyond well stocked, everything is priced well but if I you are slicing cold cuts and cannot answer a basic question about what you slice for a living, you should work elsewhere. If you sell 30 or so calling cards, all of which are for calling Poland, you should sorta know which ones are better than others. Right? I am fluent in Polish, born and raised there, there was no language barrier - people working here are unfriendly and appear annoyed when you grab something off a shelf they happen to be restocking. One bitch huffed and puffed while I tried to pick which mustard I wanted to buy. I, the customer, was in HER way because she was restocking the shelf. Seriously? Go wipe off that purple eyeshadow off your face, wash the frosty lipstick off, get yourself together. Google 'customer service'. Something. Sadly, I won't be coming back. I feel awful for people who don't speak the language and might actually need help. read more

I love this store: I mean where can you find all of this in one building? Upstairs, they have a department store, hairsalon/spa, and driving school services. Downstairs they have post office which is open until 8:00 p.m. and groceries. In New Britain, I have tried each polish store, but I think that Polmart has most varieties of stuff. Meats are always fresh! they also have the best baby yogurts and deserts. Oh and they do accept credit cards, most polish stores in N.B. do not. read more

I visit here whenever I'm in the area. They have a good selection of keilbasa and great mushroom soup as well as any grocerys you might want

They have a USPS in this PoleMart. Every time we drop off a package for shipping they fake scan it in to the system and say it's ok. But the truth is it doesn't leave the store for a day or two. Our customers that pay for 2 to 3 day shipping don't get their packagers on time or be able to track the package until they receive it. So we have to pay the customer the shipping charge back. This is counterproductive and bad business. So we have sent a complaint to the main post office to have an inquiry into this matter. read more

It used to be one of my favorite Polish stores but not anymore. I always treat people with respect and I would want to be treated the same way and I was literally shocked when the old lady at the cash register started yelling at me in front of many people just because I brought my own bag while reusable bags were banned one-two days earlier because of coronavirus. I didn't know that just like a few other people that stood in the line holding their own bags. The cashier could just politely inform the people about the changes but it seems that she has her own, less civilized way of dealing with customers. Honestly, I wanted to turn a blind eye to that "bag incident" if the cashier didn't start to yell at me AGAIN just because I didn't know how to give her money through the protective glass that was installed because of the outbreak. I was NEVER humiliated like that at any store and I was so shocked that I only grabbed my groceries and left speechless. I don't care if she was in a bad mood that day because there's no excuse to treat people like cattle. I shopped here two-three times per week but I won't come here anymore because I know I will bump into that "polite" cashier again as she works there almost every day mostly at post office. read more

Absolutely love this store and drive 20 miles to get there at least once every 5 weeks. Great food, the people that work in the store are a lot of fun. My Polish is VERY limited to a few words but I try and the employees are great. Everything is so fresh. The frozen Pierogi, one particular brand whose name escapes me at the moment, are just a good as my home made. I cannot believe how good they are. Millie's pierogi in the regular grocery store would be rated about a 2 to the Polmart's pierogi, which I would give a 10! Great food, fresh, fun place to go. read more

This store has an incredible variety of items from all over Europe. If you cant find what you are looking for, the employees are great and will help you. It is kept clean and looks nice. The food that is prepared at the store is amazing, and they always make things fresh. The deli items are also just as good and there are a large variety of items. The workers prepare things as you like them, and wrap the meats and cheeses to keep it fresh. If you are looking for Polish food or products, anything European, or just great quality food and groceries, Polmart is a great place to go. read more

Curiosity got the better of me this afternoon while driving through a working-class neighborhood of New Britain where it's as common to hear Polish spoken as it is English. Driving by Polmart, I just had the sense this might be something too good to pass up and did a semi-dramatic u-turn into their private lot. Once inside my suspicions were confirmed: Polish food mania. Freshly baked breads, rolls and pastries of all manner - but that was just the beginning. Seemingly everything in this tidy smart market from chocolate bars to aspirin was imported from Poland. They even have a small news stand with Polish magazines. Lots of interesting fruit juices, canned items, fish/seafood products - you name it. Sure, they sell Pepsi, but it's all the stuff you haven't seen or tried before that makes for an interesting visit. The sales staff all speak Polish and I half expected to see Polish currency in the cash drawer when I paid for my items. America is a big melting pot of people, products and ideas - it's what makes us great and exploring a little bit of it only makes you more tolerant. Besides, the food is pretty good too. read more

I have bought frozen pelmeni, which is like russian style tortellini at Polmart one week ago. Yesterday I made them and after eating just several did not like the way they tasted. Half an hour later I was experiencing severe GI symptoms. I truly was sick. I went to the store this morning to return them, anticipatating no problems. The person incharge said without the receipt she will not take them, I could not believe my ears. I did not even wanted cash for them, may be a store credit. nothing. There was not even compassion or embarasement from them that somebody got sick from the food they bought at this deli. I was mortified. Nomore will i go to this store. read more
