Following day, we stopped into this Orvis "outlet" store. Outlet in quotes bc...yeah, not sure what prices are at a regular Orvis store, but prices here...are as you'd expect them to be. Not...outlet store prices lol. Does that take away from the fact that this store is FN INCREDIBLE?!? Not even close. Inside is like a warm cabin or ski lodge. It's so beautiful inside. The layout...perfect. Has an upstairs and downstairs. They have every kind of outdoor clothing you can imagine. Only think I bought tho....a pair of amazing wooly hiking socks haha! And a bag of organic treats for my dogs. OH! There's a sign outside that says all dogs are welcome. I'm telling you, even if I'm like iffy on a store, have mixed feelings or whatever...IF they are nice to dogs and welcome them and even have treats set out for them...to sample haha! The store will almost always get 5 stars from me. When stores like this recognize dogs as our legit family...how can anyone say anything bad about them? The staff was so friendly with my little Alfred too. He's very tiny. 6ish lbs. Made us happy to see a couple of golden retrievers in there at the same time. Dogs are family through and through. Alfred is my child. I don't have human kids. My dogs are my kids. Alfred is my heart and soul. So it truly makes me beyond happy to see stores like this basically encourage you to bring your dogs in. He loves the organic treats too. I probably should have gotten a few bags, but just in case he decided he didn't like them...yorkies can be super picky and weird with their food and treats lol...that's why I just got the one. The prices. Ok so they may be a little steep on most things. However, they have tons of stuff on sale. Good sale prices too for people looking for a deal. Oh! They have a section for dogs too. Clothes, beds, leash's, harnesses, etc. I'm so glad we stopped in here. I love stores like this back east. It has such that "east coast" feeling to it too. Manchester had a lot of skiing in the area. This is a great place to find some gear for that. You seriously can't go wrong here. Even if it's targeted to us tourists lol, I just know a lot of locals go here. Employees are SO friendly too! So welcoming. It's so weird to go to stores these days where employees are so nice bc as we all know...shopping in like 90% of retail stores these days hire ... *this* generation and most of them don't even make eye contact or say hello. So going to stores where they legit welcome you in from the second you walk in...very refreshing. Then checking out, the guy and I had a little conversation about paying our credit card bill haha! Basically, it's cool to have employees at stores that aren't dead in the eyes lol or absolutely robotic. Whoever does the hiring here knows exactly what they are doing. Last month, for instance we found some really great deals on sweaters ($189 wool sweaters discounted to $74) and shirts. It's not a particularly large store (two levels), but it has a good assortment of clothing for men and women, and bear in mind that because it is an outlet not all sizes in everything will be available. The staff is very courteous and know the stock well. Looking back we have to say that we have never left a visit here without at least a couple of purchases. If you're in the area, do check out the flagship store, but don't forget to come by here as well. We are fans.

They have a great selection for toddlers, kids, teens, women and men, with a full range of sizes available. Everything (at least appears to be) first quality, and they have a nice selection of clothing for the present as well as upcoming season. They always seem to have a sale, they sometimes offer coupons, and if you purchase a reusable neon bag, you receive 10% off on future total purchases. Freakin awesome! We were looking for clothes and shoes for my son's graduation from Daycare to Pre-school. It was a big day! In general most people are intelligent enough to know that infant/toddler children's clothing should remain clean. A lady and man walked in with 2 long hair large dirty dogs and strolled through the store. The dogs were all into the baby girl clothing, which was right next to where my son was trying on shoes. It was apparent that my son was scared and that I was not comfortable around the animals that were definitely NOT SERVICE DOGS. To make matters worse an employee started playing with the dogs right next to us, which quickly caused the hairs to bother my right eye and my throat. We had to hurry up and get rung out at the register. To make matters worse, the cashier was the woman, who had just played with the dirty dogs and was now handling clothing and shoes I was about to put on my son after purchase. This is because we were headed from there to his graduation. I mentioned my concerns to the woman, who said, "We just always allow dogs in here. [...]." I think at a minimum GAP should post signs that state "All dogs are allowed" in their stores on the doors, even though it does not seem legal, so that people with allergies know what to expect or to not shop there. I spent $1,000 on a hypoallergenic dog that was purchased 4 states away and even he still gives us some problems. Therefore, it is not a matter of not liking dogs. We love them, but even our pooch who is now fully grown and only 9 lbs. would not be brought into a public store. He would not be allowed to roam through infant/toddler clothes either. After all that, it was not that they were even catering to the couple as they did not even purchase anything. Thanks Gap for crushing our big day!
