HEALTH HAZARD & MALICIOUS NEGLIGENCE - AVOID RIVERSTONE AT ALL COSTS!…read more "My experience at Riverstone in West Palm Beach was an absolute nightmare--financially, physically, and emotionally. We rented a 1-bedroom apartment for $2,500/month, only to move into a biohazard. Within just 20 days, toxic mold destroyed our clothes in the closet and numerous personal decorations. We provided photographic evidence of all these losses to the management, but they completely ignored the destruction of our property. The situation was so extreme that it was impossible to use even the dishwasher. If clean dishes were left inside for just 48 hours, they would come out covered in green mold. The humidity and stench were unbearable. The toll on our health was devastating: My Wife: Who had not suffered from asthma attacks in years, was forced back onto heavy medication due to the toxic air quality. Our Dog: Developed a severe, persistent cough. We had to pay for veterinary care, where the doctor confirmed that the mold was the likely cause of his respiratory distress. Dishonest and Malicious Management: They knew about the issue: Maintenance staff admitted to us that this is a chronic, building-wide problem for almost all units facing the lake. They knowingly rented us an uninhabitable unit. Absurd "Solutions": They forbid us from opening the balcony door and ordered us to keep the AC at a freezing 70°F. When that failed, they shoved a loud, industrial-grade dehumidifier in our living room. No one should pay $2,500 to live in a noisy, freezing warehouse. Illegal Retention of Funds: We returned the keys on 12/28/2025. Today is 02/12/2026, and they still have not returned our security deposit or the extra garage fees. FLORIDA STATUTE 83.49 VIOLATION: Management is in direct violation of Florida law. The legal 30-day window to notify us of any claim against the deposit has long expired. They are illegally withholding our money after forcing us to move (a 6-hour journey) twice in less than four months due to their own negligence. Do not be fooled by the 'luxury' facade. Riverstone is a health risk, and their management lacks basic ethics. If you value your health, your pets, and your hard-earned money, STAY AWAY."

I have been living here at Compson Place Apartments for 3 months and have nothing but positives…read morethings to say! The polite ladies Yina, Ro, & Carolina have been very helpful, they're the absolute best at their job! The maintenance crew is awesome here. If you put a work order in, it gets fixed or replaced the next day! I have never heard or seen anyone that is so helpful as Compson Place! We have a great package room with a 3rd party company that runs your packages to you whenever you are available. Rest assured they have the package issue, I've seen from years ago in the reviews, under control! The property is always immaculate as far as landscaping and trash being picked up. I am so happy and plan to stay for many years! I love our pool and BBQ area, always clean and never too crowded even in holidays. The location is amazing, walking distance to literally anything you possibly could imagine! Major retail, restaurant, mall, movie theater, and I95! Of all the great things about Compson Place Apartments, it's the people, the residents and the employees that make this a great place to live! Thank you Compson Place!

Ridiculous. I alone have had 3 packages stolen from my door step. They have yet to do anything. Over 15 residents signed a petition stating they have had multiple packages stolen.

Great Community. My family and I have owned here for over a year. The community is very well…read moremaintained. Clean, bright and secure. They keep the community up very well. All the buildings have just been painted and much of the landscaping is redone. There is a walking path and gym my wife uses daily. Pool is routinely maintained. I see the service here frequently. The security at the gate makes sure that only those who should be in the community are. The neighborhood has plenty of street parking for day guests. I routinely interact with the office on a friendly basis and they have always been accommodating with my requests. Many people complain about the HOA fee but I have done the math and if you add up everything included is is pretty close to the prices for theses services individually. I would recommend living or buying here.

Granted, it was great and spacious, but since I have bad knees and hips, it was no longer convenient for me to walk up and down three floors every day. We were looking at other places when Sophia told us about a 2 BR/2 BT 1st floor apartment facing the lake... she saved us! We love our apartment! To have the view of the lake when you wake up in the morning just puts you in the right frame of mind. My dogs love it, too! Since there's a bush in front of the living room window, they are not bothered that much by the people passing by. I swear they barked more when we were in the townhouse. I also want to commend the maintenance team; their response time is very fast! When we have an issue, such as plumbing or whatnot, it's usually less than 24 hours between putting the request in and someone coming to check on the issue. Ivan is quick, and he is also very friendly to our dogs. He will let you know what the problem is right away. We find this community peaceful, despite having a major road (Congress Ave.) so close by. It feels hidden away from the busy street and is quite tranquil. We hope to stay here for many years to come.
