Bait and switch ....BS. Went in and found a really nice short sleeve sweater that I liked that was on the 30% off table. Tried it on and it fit well, so even for a pricey item, I decided to buy it for myself. Waited in line for a while and finally got to the counter. The gal rang me up and then announced my total. I then said to her, "it's 30% off of that total". She asked me where I found it and went over to that table. Every time I visit Sandestin this is a must stop. All of your traditional Polo gear and those clothing exclusive to the outlets(found a baseball tee. Constant "where did you get that"). The prices are incredibly cheap. There is always an offer in store no less than 35 percent off but if you text their coupon SMS you'll get an ADDITIONAL! I've always ears the outlets have cheaper material but thus far neither myself or anyone's eye can tell. The Big and Tall section has a great variety not just the plain classic polos you get in the department stores. I was also impressed by the large shoe selection from business dress to casual/tennis shoes. So much to list! read more

I have mostly worn Ralph Lauren since 1994, so I'm very familiar with the brand. The store layout and organization isn't the best I've seen, RL factory stores in smaller markets are way better. It always seem like a tornado just went through the store. There selection is ok at best and remember factory stores get items you see on major stores about 6-8 months later. But some of the items are timeless so it doesn't matter when you buy them. The staff don't seem to be trained well and I usually know more about RL than they do, you have to believe in the stuff you are selling. When it comes coupons and percentages off its hit or miss with the cashiers. Most of them don't know how to apply the coupons RL email you and don't want to combine discounts when the coupon clearly say you can. I always ask for a manager to address the issue, then the cashier mad at you because the manager told them I was right. I will continue to go there because I do love RL and they do have great deals sometimes just check the price tags so you don't fall for the old banana in the tailpipe trick. read more

On a recent trip to this outlet to grab a few t-shirts I also found some nice winter weather clothes as well. The store itself is nice, but typical layout of most RL outlets. The staff here is friendly, maybe a little too friendly. They kept offering me a bag; I swear the same guy walked by 5 times and tried to give me a shopping bag. Ralph Lauren, you can do better than this. Honeyed wood accents support the traditional chain theme, but this was possibly the worst RL outlet I've seen inventory-wise. For how much space the store has, it doesn't use it well, displays were sparse and unattractive. The few items hanging in clearance were definitely there for a reason. I'd rather hit a department store for this sort of thing. read more

The home section of this RL is really disappointing. There isn't a lot to choose from, and they don't seem to stock much. The women's department seems to carry a lot of 'lauren' and 'lauren sport'. Not so much the boutique labels (blue, black, RLX, Pink Pony, Purple). I've bought sheets, and the sales are on par with other outlets, but I doubt I'll be buying any clothes here. :-/ Bummer. read more

So far after reading other reviews some of them I believe are mainly misunderstandings of the way systems work from one store to another. I've worked in retail for 30 years as a part timer and so you know that means I have worked in 3 different stores. These stores all operate differently and even though I worked in one once that was in the same chain as the other one I had worked we did things totally different and the store was set up totally different. Talk about confused. When I asked I was told that we were in a different Market (District) than my previous store; so things were done differently. Sort of made since. To address some of the other issues the mark-ups on the items you can't be sure when that was done. You can't state beyond a reasonable doubt that that wasn't done by someone outside the store before it arrived at the outlet. I know you believe it was and I would tend to believe it was, but I wouldn't remove a label and accuse someone of marking a item up. It may have been the Mfg that did it. Finally, when the employee broached the subject of a customer's weight; that customer should've went directly to the manager at that time and I would have hoped that employee would have been fired. Because it is never an employees right to make a comment that offends a customer in the way. She knew what the comment would do, otherwise she would not have said it. I read these reviews and want to reach out to those that have written them an apologize to them even though I don't work for RL; but from the Retail Industry as a whole, because these people shouldn't be treated this way just because this is Destin and most of them are tourist visiting it. read more

Visited this store to make an exchange for a different color. The item still had the tags and I was exchanging for the same item but different color. The manager refused to exchange without my receipt. I feel certain the purchase was visible in my polo account but he couldn't locate it because I feel confident he was not in the correct account. Terrible customer service and terrible attitude. He clearly needs additional training in basic customer service. No longer a loyal brand ambassador for Polo. read more

I shop here all the time because they always have good sales. Well, I thought they did. I was looking at a basic polo shirt that was 40% off, but when I looked at the price it had a new price sticker on it. The new price was $29.99, but I peeled it off and the original price was $19.99. Really smooth Ralph Lauren!! I love that they have a 15% student discount on top of the sales they're having. That's the only reason why I come back to this store. read more

Staff refused to honor extra 40% off on a pair of shoes they missed when marking them up. They admitted that shoes were $29.99 then they changed the price to $49.99 so they could mark them "on sale" at 40% off. The pair in my size was missed when they changed all the prices to fool everyone or they were a return. Either way, they would not honor the price. I had just bought t shirts online for $8.99 with free shipping. They were twice as much here "on sale". Shop somewhere else. Poor business practice here as they obviously figure they will do well enough without having to truly have any real sales. read more

10/14/15 I have been shopping RL factory stores for more years than I would like to admit! I have never been treated so poorly in any shopping experience, anywhere period, from the highest end department to bargain bin dollar stores, from coast to coast. It was actually just one particular employee, but still absolutely an horrendous excuse of business service. First, I was never once even acknowledged when I came in, which I can understand to a degree, it was a weekday at an outlet. Then I went to the checkout, the real "service" began. I had received an email for Columbus Day discount as a frequent shopper for 20% off my total purchase. First, the employee says to me, in a remarkably loud and haughty tone, "YOU have shopped HERE before? WHEN? WHERE do YOU get a DISCOUNT for HERE?" The email clearly stated that I could simply show the employee the code and it would be an easy transaction. As per usual, I gave this dreadful woman my address and email, to which she first claimed did not "exist in her system"? hmmmm, strange since I received this very discount FROM THAT SYSTEM?. I politely waited 10 minutes or more, not saying a word, as she rudely continuted to glare at my mother and me as if we didn't "belong there"- that is certainly the way that she made us feel as customers from the moment we approached her. When the purchase was finally near completion, we discovered that one of the items had holes in it. Obviously, I walked back to the womens department to replace it with a similiar item, since the same size and color was not available. THEN the EMPLOYEE says to me, the customer, "REALLY, you think YOU can wear a LARGE?? what makes you think that would FIT YOU?" I was so incredibly dumbfounded that I could barely speak. First of all, she had no clue who the item was being purchased for and secondly, who is this employee to question me or what size I believe I wear?? I was on vacation and did not want an altercation with an employee at an outlet store to ruin my day, but it did. I was clearly made to feel as though 1. my business was unwanted and unneeded and . 2. I was too overweight to be shopping there. Oddly, I was actually wearing a RL large at that very moment she treated me this way, from another RL outlet store, in Sevierville, TN. This woman needs to be reprimanded and quite clearly needs to work elsewhere. Thanks to her, I will never shop here again. That's an abosolute certainty! read more

I have traveled/vacationed to destin and have shopped at this outlet mall 10+ times in my 25 years. But After my experience tonight it will be the last time I entertain the thought of shopping at the polo outlet store again. The employees were ridiculous and must not understand what their retail job description is. I found and tried on a pair of polo pants that cost 70$. I really liked the way the fit. So I looked at the other styles and saw a color (olive) that they did not have in my size. When I went to try on the pair I bought in the fitting rooms there was a sticker on the mirror that was advertising how you had the option to ship items to your address if they were not available in store. After waiting in line to check out. I asked about purchasing the olive pair of pants. They said they physically needed the pair to scan and look them up in the system. Well when I went to retrieve the pair, the employees did not pay attention to my family and friends that were in the background listening to the three polo employees behind the registers expressing there negative opinions about me and carrying out this process in general (I guess since it was after 8 it was an inconvenience, but the store didn't close till 10pm). Once I returned I was confronted with the news that the pair was unavailable in any store (how'd they know! They were about to look up the pair because I hadn't given it to them yet).This was a joke to the rest of family because they were able to witness it all.
