restaurant itself is beautiful -- very warm, inviting, and nicely decorated. Unfortunately, my rating is based solely on the food, which just wasn't quite my favorite. We ordered a variety of dishes including pierogi, Polish sausage, potatoes, pancakes, cabbage rolls, and chicken. While everything was prepared well, the flavors just didn't really hit for me personally. I'm not the biggest fan of traditional Polish food, so that definitely plays a role in my experience. That said, if you enjoy Polish cuisine, this may be a great spot for you. The ambiance alone is worth mentioning.

Thanks to Yelp for an amazing event, I was able to try Polish food for the first time. I enjoyed sampling a little bit of everything and it all came together as one delicious meal. I loved the beautiful dishes being displayed throughout the restaurant. It was nice hearing from the owner and how these recipes are from his homeland. All of the food is made from scratch and made fresh for us to enjoy. There was an upstairs area where they had a DJ, EXP Photo Booth and a bar area to try Polish Liqueur. The DJ was great, loved the music selection, it definitely added a nice vibe. I also appreciated the EXP Photo Booth guy, he was so patient and nice. Trying the Polish Liqueur was fun. The bartender was friendly. Overall, this was an amazing experience. I will definitely be back to try more!

Loved the vibes, seemed very authentic. Dill pickle soup had a great tang. I tried my friends pierogi and was thrown off by the sweet flavor. Best part was the stuffed cabbage, sausage, and mashed potatoes

The food and atmosphere are like a warm hug on a cold day and boy was it cold this day. My favorites were the potato pancakes and the smoked kielbasa but everything was great. I'd for sure come back. The staff there were amazing they answered my questions, were friendly, attentive and kept the place super clean and organized.

The food here is absolutely amazing. This is one of the only authentic Polish restaurants left in the Metro Detroit area. If you have not been here you need to check it out. The staff here is pretty friendly and the atmosphere is decorated with authentic Polish pottery and dishes I can't wait to visit here again and learn more about Polish food and their culture. I have a small amount of Polish in me but I didn't really learn much about it growing up. I think my favourite Polish food is pierogies. I will definitely be visiting this restaurant again soon.

This was my forest time at this establishment . It was comfort polish food made from scratch. We meet the chef and the food was authentic . The portions were great for the sample we received. It you want to experience polish food this is the place to go. I enjoyed my experience here.

I really enjoyed my time at Polonia! The staff treats you like family and really is passionate about the food and service that they provide. The homemade cherry and cranberry flavored vodkas were both absolutely delicious and I also loved the Tatanka with apple juice! The potato pancake was my favorite, so crisp! The potato and farmers cheese pierogis were full of filling and tasted so fresh! I can honestly tell you that Polish food is not my number one choice but everything tasted fresh and authentic, because it is all made-from-scratch. The grilled kielbasa, meatballs, and sauerkraut pleasantly surprised me with their flavor. You are in for an authentic, charming dining experience here!

Polonia is a warm, cozy Polish restaurant with authentic, homemade-style food. They offer a good selection of classic dishes, all tasty and comforting. Prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere makes you want to come back. A great spot for a simple, satisfying meal.

This was a lovely place for our 2026 kick off Yelp Event. First thing I noticed was how clean the place was including the nicely renovated bathroom!. I believe the bathroom tells a lot about a business. Polonia owner must know this secret as well! We sampled all the authentic handmade Polish cuisine. I must confess I loved all of it, except the saurkraut. I prefer a more savory saurkraut with mushrooms that my Polish family members taught me to make many years ago. The pierogies alone make traveling to Hamtramck worth the trip! The farmer's cheese pierogi may be the best perogi that I have ever eaten! I enjoyed the tender and tasty city chicken and moist meatball very much, too.The fresh and smoked sausages were flavorful. Potato pancakes had a great crunch. Stuffed cabbage was tender and delicious I loved the atmosphere there and plan to return with the family soon. I recommend going here if you want authentic Polish tasty food!

Obviously a community staple. Still serving the amazing Polish food you would expect. Amazing service. They gave it a long overdue makeover inside and it's beautiful which I forgot to take pictures of.

The mushroom wasn't my favorite, as the mushrooms would gush out some water from it, was a rather unexpected experience, not for me. The mushroom and cheese were decent. The atmosphere is like going to Grandma's house--except Grandma forgot how to cook and decided to decorate with politics instead of personality. The menu feels dated, the decor feels dated, and the food has absolutely no flair. Everything we tried was bland and unappetizing. The tacos were honestly less enjoyable than Taco Bell, and the pierogies were a complete disappointment. A Polish-Mexican concept could be creative and exciting, but this felt like neither cuisine was done particularly well. It's unfortunate that such a great Milford location is occupied by a restaurant that seems so badly in need of a full refresh--from the food and menu to the decor and overall atmosphere.

Polish Market continues to be my go to market for Polish sausage in Metror Detroit. I have tied most if not all of the other well known named Polish centric markets in metro Detroit but for my money this Market makes the best sausage. In particular, I consider their cherry wood sausage to be exceptional where this is my go to wood species when I do my own smoking which I do on a weekly basis. It adds such a good and unique flavor to meat that I am surprised that more smoked meat centric businesses in the area dont do it. Sausage aside, I like to buy their Polish cookies/treats from Polish Market for my 90 something year old in laws who are immigrants from Poland where they get a huge kick out of these baked goods that remind them of their heritage and original homeland.
