Loved the vibes, seemed very authentic. Dill pickle soup had a great tang. I tried my friends pierogi and was thrown off by the sweet flavor. Best part was the stuffed cabbage, sausage, and mashed potatoes

Thanks to Yelp for an amazing event, I was able to try Polish food for the first time. I enjoyed sampling a little bit of everything and it all came together as one delicious meal. I loved the beautiful dishes being displayed throughout the restaurant. It was nice hearing from the owner and how these recipes are from his homeland. All of the food is made from scratch and made fresh for us to enjoy. There was an upstairs area where they had a DJ, EXP Photo Booth and a bar area to try Polish Liqueur. The DJ was great, loved the music selection, it definitely added a nice vibe. I also appreciated the EXP Photo Booth guy, he was so patient and nice. Trying the Polish Liqueur was fun. The bartender was friendly. Overall, this was an amazing experience. I will definitely be back to try more!

Great restaurant, great staff and tasty food. Huge place. Two bars, this place is one of two polish restaurants in Michigan. It's a must experience type of place. Everything's made from scratch so you can taste the authenticity. Highly recommend you stop by and have a taste. Located in the Heart of hamtramck.

The food and atmosphere are like a warm hug on a cold day and boy was it cold this day. My favorites were the potato pancakes and the smoked kielbasa but everything was great. I'd for sure come back. The staff there were amazing they answered my questions, were friendly, attentive and kept the place super clean and organized.

The food here is absolutely amazing. This is one of the only authentic Polish restaurants left in the Metro Detroit area. If you have not been here you need to check it out. The staff here is pretty friendly and the atmosphere is decorated with authentic Polish pottery and dishes I can't wait to visit here again and learn more about Polish food and their culture. I have a small amount of Polish in me but I didn't really learn much about it growing up. I think my favourite Polish food is pierogies. I will definitely be visiting this restaurant again soon.

This was my forest time at this establishment . It was comfort polish food made from scratch. We meet the chef and the food was authentic . The portions were great for the sample we received. It you want to experience polish food this is the place to go. I enjoyed my experience here.

I really enjoyed my time at Polonia! The staff treats you like family and really is passionate about the food and service that they provide. The homemade cherry and cranberry flavored vodkas were both absolutely delicious and I also loved the Tatanka with apple juice! The potato pancake was my favorite, so crisp! The potato and farmers cheese pierogis were full of filling and tasted so fresh! I can honestly tell you that Polish food is not my number one choice but everything tasted fresh and authentic, because it is all made-from-scratch. The grilled kielbasa, meatballs, and sauerkraut pleasantly surprised me with their flavor. You are in for an authentic, charming dining experience here!

Polonia is a warm, cozy Polish restaurant with authentic, homemade-style food. They offer a good selection of classic dishes, all tasty and comforting. Prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere makes you want to come back. A great spot for a simple, satisfying meal.

Very cozy restaurant with delicious Polish food! I really liked their sausages and potato pancakes. I cannot wait to come back to try more items on the menu!

This was a lovely place for our 2026 kick off Yelp Event. First thing I noticed was how clean the place was including the nicely renovated bathroom!. I believe the bathroom tells a lot about a business. Polonia owner must know this secret as well! We sampled all the authentic handmade Polish cuisine. I must confess I loved all of it, except the saurkraut. I prefer a more savory saurkraut with mushrooms that my Polish family members taught me to make many years ago. The pierogies alone make traveling to Hamtramck worth the trip! The farmer's cheese pierogi may be the best perogi that I have ever eaten! I enjoyed the tender and tasty city chicken and moist meatball very much, too.The fresh and smoked sausages were flavorful. Potato pancakes had a great crunch. Stuffed cabbage was tender and delicious I loved the atmosphere there and plan to return with the family soon. I recommend going here if you want authentic Polish tasty food!

Obviously a community staple. Still serving the amazing Polish food you would expect. Amazing service. They gave it a long overdue makeover inside and it's beautiful which I forgot to take pictures of.

Had the platter with smoked sausage, pierogi, stuffed cabbage, and mashed potatos. I love Polish food so it's hard to choose. Generous servings. Nice staff. Clean. Food comes out quickly. Reasonably priced.

There is a small parking lot at the Jam Handy, but we weren't really sure if we could park there, even for the rehearsal the day before the wedding. The space is historic and you can read about it online, but it served as a sound stage for the Jam Handy Organization, which specialized in industrial films and filmstrips for General Motors and the United States Armed Forces. The venue itself is a bit rustic and industrial, and serves as a blank canvas for whatever vision you have for your event. In this case, it was a wedding with lots of beautiful flowers and floral arrangements and green plants everywhere. The bar when you entered was a great touch, and guests were able to have a glass of wine before moving to the ceremony room, which had a floral backdrop. This space was turned into the late night dance party area as well. There isn't much around this venue, so don't plan on a lot of bar hopping nearby before your event. In fact, most of the bars didn't open until 5 pm on Friday, the day of the wedding. The only other downfall of the venue was having to go downstairs to use the restroom. There is one gender neutral restroom on the main floor but it was occupied 99% of the time I tried the door. Just something to note for people with mobility issues, high heels, etc. I also noticed some uneven areas in the floors. Overall I had a great time at this venue and was impressed with how it was transformed from the rehearsal time to the wedding itself! Sometimes I think spots like this are a little too much of a blank space for someone like me, who lacks creative vision to turn a place like this into something really beautiful. However, with the right team and vision, it can be exceptional!

They have a full kitchen, and the usual food on offer seemed like you would expect at a starbucks or better. They have drinks, coffee, and wine. The wine was higher end. And they use an ordering app so members at different rooms of the club can order easily. Lots of rooms. Dining and lecture rooms, lounge and club type rooms, conference rooms. A large event room. All really nice. There are smaller serving bars on the second and third floors. Depending on age, annual membership is 600 or 1200 dollars. It looked great. Maybe it could have used more restrooms, but that is sort of reaching for something negative to say.

It is affiliated with & partially run by Wayne State University. I like the vibe here. It's casual & community oriented. And the diversity of backgrounds & genders represented in it's membership, well, that makes this space stand out from the rest. The building itself is huge and divided into several floors. On the first floor you'll find casual co-working, some dedicated desks and tons of meeting rooms on the 1st floor. There's a large open kitchen and a pantry with fresh food for sale. Ping pong table & popcorn machine are a nice bonus. On 2nd through 5th floors you'll find the various sized private offices of nonprofit orgs, small businesses and larger orgs like the Ford Foundation and Henry Ford Medical. This is the place to run into people who are in business in Detroit, particularly folks at the intersection between academics and business. I am a co-working member, so I see this space primarily as a place to get good Wifi, use the printer and host client meetings, etc. It serves me well and it is a really great price for hot desk co-working. Two complaints: 1. There is an effort to help break the ice & introduce members to each other more often. This is an ongoing struggle, as it can feel very anonymous to work remotely at a co-working space. Right now there's a weekly popcorn & beer mingler on Friday afternoons and a bagel breakfast on Mondays. There's room for improvement in terms of creating real helpful connections between people though. 2. It can get crowded in the middle of the week and on days when a large group books the conference rooms. You'd be surprised how often a group of 40+ people hosts an event here. There's rarely a quiet day on the 1st floor. Overall this is a great space, good community and a nice taste of the Detroit business & nonprofit scene.

Normally I would never try a drink with boi in its name, but this name is a part of Kiesling's history, and squash? Come on. I had to try it, and it put me right back in the neighborhood as if I had just walked down across the bridge on Brush for a couple of drinks. (And someone please tell me, am I dreaming, didn't we used to cross on Beaubien, too?) I followed that up with the Kie Rye Pie because I cannot resist rhyming, and I am fascinated with drambuie.
