That didn't sound right, so I insisted on getting my money back. After some pushback, he returned it. To be sure, I later used the same $20 at a lottery vending machine and successfully bought $20 of SuperLotto. Those machines use bank-level bill validators, so the bill was clearly real. Felt more like intimidation than a real counterfeit issue. Just sharing so others are aware. Will never go back to this place.

They have a huge collection of harder to get and very rare bourbon, and I think it is reasonably priced. You definitely are paying an up charge for the allocated stuff, but I think that's not unreasonable given the bourbon market today. Additionally, the shipping while expensive was very well done. Packaging (see picture) was very secure/protective, and the order came from California to the Midwest and under a week (I sent my order in on a Saturday afternoon, and it arrived at my house the following Friday). Overall, great experience with them, would happily order again online, and would love to visit in store if I'm in town.
