Apparently, having a conversation with another customer now means you somehow become responsible for their purchase. I left feeling like I was being unfairly profiled and discriminated against based solely on the fact that I interacted with the people ahead of me. If there was a legitimate store policy preventing the sale, I would have appreciated someone explaining it clearly instead of making assumptions. Apparently, my money isn't good here because I said hello to the wrong people. If you shop here, apparently the safest strategy is to keep your head down, don't speak to anyone, and definitely don't interact with anyone purchasing alcohol.
