Alyssa does a great job. It can be hard to get on her calendar though. Best to schedule a week in advance.

I never make post or bash local business people publicly but this... this has me heated. So please…read moreshare so this doesn't happen to you!! I went to get my hair done at The Hair Express Salon & Hairy Bear for Kids. I specifically got my hair done by Tim. I asked for a full set of highlights and showed him a photo of my hair previously and I left the salon in tears. My hair is yellow and orange and god knows what other colors. I PAID $360 for this service and an extra $60 for the hair cut. Talk about highway robbery. I told him when i was at the salon that I hated it and he said it would wash out ?? Like no that's not how that happens. Any ways this as his response to me. And these are the results of my $420 hair catastrophe. I wish I could give one star DO NOT GO HERE!!! his response was so disrespectful.

I never leave reviews, but Tim did such a terrible job with my hair that I have to let others know…read more I would give zero stars if I could. I am a natural dirty blonde/brunette, and I asked for highlights to bring out some of the blonde in my hair. I showed him pictures of my own hair from about two years ago (when I had gotten beautiful highlights at another salon), told him what I had done last time to the best of my memory (I've only had my hair highlighted two or three times before), and trusted his "expertise". I chose this salon because they had good reviews and reasonable prices. I came out of the salon with patchy, yellowy-orange hair that was more of a blonde dye job than highlights. My entire head of hair was ruined, with the exception of about an inch of very dark roots. I have included pictures on my google review and plan to leave them on Facebook, as well- Yelp will not let me attach them. Not only did Tim give me a haircut that I did not ask for (I only agreed because I figured it would be reasonably priced), but I got slammed with a $300 bill at the end of our time together. I would like to note that his listed price for "full highlight" is $120. I am a full-time college student and budgeted only $150 for this service (which would have included a generous tip). I think it's reasonable to say that this service was not worth my time or money. He offered to tone my hair after I left and came back in tears, but this "highlight" job was so far from what I wanted that I didn't even trust him with that. I asked for a partial refund because the haircut was nice, but he clearly ruined my hair, and he refused. I ended up buying a natural box dye and dyeing my hair back to my natural color. I am beyond frustrated and disappointed.

I am absolutely in love with this salon. The first time I went to Tracy Myers I was a walk in and…read morewas blown away with her talent. She listened to what I wanted and offered suggestions that would better suit my face type and lifestyle. I've been seeing her for years and have never once had a problem. Im a bartender and interact with hundreds of people every week and get compliments on my cut and color daily. She boosts my self confidence everyday by all the love I receive for her hard work. Not only has Tracy nailed every cut and color, she's easy to talk to and gives great advice on everything I go through in my life. I have a great relationship with her and everyone who works at persona. I always feel welcome and love spending my time there with all the great stylists. I take issue with one of the people that have reviewed this salon and Tracy. While I understand that everyone's entitled to their own opinion, this person has left reviews on other establishments and they all read the same. It seems to me that this persons problem isn't with the salon or Tracy but with her own personality. You are not a stylist. I hope that when people read the review left by this person they will take into account all the other trash talk she leaves on other salons. Thank you Tracy for always making me feel amazing.

She colored a full inch of my forehead in addition to my hair, no exaggeration. I walked around like that for a week before it would come off, I looked ridiculous. Natalie looked at herself in the mirror the entire time, including while talking to me. She asked for multiple confirmations across multiple days using phone and email. A bit disruptive and intrusive, particularly given I'm a full grown adult more than capable of managing my own schedule. Worst haircut, color and overall experience of my life save an ill-considered visit to a beauty school years ago. All for the low low price of $200. For that kind of money in what is marketed as a high end salon, please don't require amateur payment methods (Venmo). Trust me, you'd do better with a pair of fiscar scissors and a box of Clairol.

Do not go here for eyelash extensions…read more There are not a lot of salons in Vermont that do eyelash extensions so when I found All About Hair and saw the starting rate was $95 for a full set, I was excited and made an appointment. However once I got there, and before even sitting down, the stylist told me it would be $200 for a full set. Id understand if she looked at my eyelashes first and then decided to charge $200 but she barely even looked at me before telling me that would be price. I told her that the website has them listed at $95 to start and she just said I wouldn't be able to find anything cheaper than $200 in Chittenden County because of how much time it takes to do them (which is a lie because there are other salons that charge less than that in Chittenden County). She told me maybe I read it wrong because for a fill, it's $95 (which is also a lie, their website has fills listed at $35 to start). Eventually she told me the lowest she could do was $150 and, stupid me, decided to just get them. First of all, there were no style or length options, which is pretty unusual for eyelash extensions. Second, it took her less than 30 minutes to do them (so not sure why she went on about them being that expensive because of how "long it takes to do them"). That's the SHORTEST amount of time it's ever taken me to get a full set. It should take at least an hour, at the MINIMUM. Third, the extensions themselves, were so cheap. In the past when I've had extensions, you're able to (and you're supposed to) brush them with a spoolie tool, however these were so clumpy, that there was no way you could brush them. They felt so low quality and they lasted MAYBE 2 weeks (not that I really wanted to have them any longer). Don't make the mistake I did and go here. I'm not sure how their hair styling is, but their eyelash extensions are terrible.
