Fried eggs with toast plus tea

What a great place to get a breakfast or a tea break near Kings Cross! After staying in the KIngs Cross area for three nights, I noticed that the station is surrounded with only chain stores - until I found Pompidou Cafe, which is a nice local cafe owned by two brothers and their father. Not only do they have a nice selection of drinks and pastry display, the menu is also enticing. The best part is that despite being so close to the main crossroad of central London transport, the price here is very reasonable - I got a breakfast plate and tea for only around £10! Anyway, I recommend swinging by here if you are in need to eat or drink something or take a break when you are around Kings Cross!

We were looking for a nice breakfast place near our hotel and we stumbled into here fortuitously. The cafe is small and a bit cramped, but they found us a table and we ordered our breakfast. I got a sausauge and egg baguette and my fiancee got a strawberries and cream crepe, both of which were very good. The prices were pretty good for London and it was one of the best breakfasts we had in London. I definitely recommend this place if you're near Kings Cross and are looking for a nice place for breakfast!

I went here multiple times for breakfast when I stayed in London for the summer. Very homey. Great service, the two French cooks are so kind. The food is fresh and tastes very good. Miss it xoxo

Came in for a drink and a sit after wandering the British Museum for hours. Had the cream tea and was surprisingly pleased. They also let me swap earl grey in for the standard black tea without charge, hooray! They also have a large drinks menu and a bunch of pricey cakes in the window. Service was friendly.

Order: Breakfast Club Sandwich Coffee. The Cumberland sausage was really good. The Bread was my favorite. The waiter was awesome! Wish I lived in the UK, I would be back!

We went here today for a late lunch! Really nice local cafe in-between a bunch of chain restaurants. Manager was super friendly. I tried the coronation chicken jacket potato. Yum yum!

Great little cafe! Stopped here in the morning on our way back to the States. Service was great and they prepared our food very quickly. They have a huge variety of breakfast and lunch options, and a full coffee bar. I would definitely recommend popping into this cafe!

I was on my way to King's Cross, it was early and I'd been forced out of the house without my morning coffee. As I was walking toward the train station I came across Pompidou Cafe and decided to pop in for a take-away coffee, I'm so glad I did. The staff was exceptionally friendly and quickly made my drink and had me on my way. The Americano was strong and full of flavour. As I walked toward the train station I could feel the cobwebs clearing with each sip of delicious coffee. Pompidou made excellent coffee and whenever I'm in the neighbourhood, that's the shop I'll go to for coffee!

Nice breakfast club, porridge, iced caramel.

Nothing special. I went to this place because of yelp, but I've seen better places around. I'm starting to doubt yelp's reviews in London.

Got the avocado + salmon toast smash and an English breakfast. Both were awesome choices. The staff was so friendly.

I had the iced matcha cloud with raspberry syrup. Quality matcha powder used *and* the added fruit sweetener (raspberry here) is subtle but still tasteful actually complementing well with the matcha (unlike fruit sweetener that tastes like straight jam overpowering the whole drink.....). A matcha drink that actually makes sense lol. I also tried the iced Japanese cold brew. Pretty strong in brew taste but still smooth! Polite barista. Low-key, chill vibes at the cafe on a Monday late afternoon. Definitely a nice spot for a pick-me-up drink while venturing London. :)

The one we have had has a delicious and flaky seeded croissant and it has a really nice portion of cream cheese and prosciutto and arugula. It's really savory. I ordered a latte on both visits. The art on it is very nice, but it also tastes as good as it looks! It's smooth and creamy and the perfect temperature to enjoy it right away. The cappuccino my brother ordered also looked pretty good. The staff working here are really friendly and welcoming as well. She was very attentive and asked us if everything was good and if we needed anything else. Unfortunately, we're just visiting the country, but would definitely love to come back to this cafe in the future!

Their servings are HUGE, and are so affordable too! I left wishing my mother and I had the ability to save our leftovers for later, because we hated wasting any of the delicious food that we ordered. Even before we got our food we were pretty excited. When you walk in you're greeted here with a beautiful sight: fresh sandwiches, bread, and pastries, all on display right at their main counter. Once we were seated I noticed little flower pots line the window, too. Fresh food and flowers - what more can you ask from a cafe for a first impression? We also loved the owner and his wife: they were very kind and they constantly kept us up to date on our food order, just to mention what was done and what they still needed to do or cook. They clearly work hard to provide fresh fast meals - and we learned quickly as people came in and out of the place that takeaway is available here. But we wanted to enjoy a sit down meal, and enjoy we did! I started mine with fresh squeezed juice - we're talking so fresh you'll want to add sugar to it if you're used to the juice that comes in stores. And when our English breakfasts came out? Just, wonderful. My mother and I each received SO much food. Both meals came with amazing buttered bread (like, I would have happily eaten an entire plate of bread and only bread), hash browns so fresh that they may as well have given us the original potatoes (yum), and what I can really only describe as a mountain of beans, eggs, and meat (well, on mine anyway - not so much on my mother's vegetarian breakfast order). All of it absolutely delicious, and every single bite made me smile wider and wider. Definitely walk on in if you're near this little shop. Don't be afraid to order one meal and share it if there's only two of you, either - you'll likely both leave well fed, and you can always order a little more food if you want too from that great looking counter of theirs...
