I have been going to Ponce Recycling for years, and I drive from Sherman Oaks to Burbank because of the outstanding management provided by Alexander! He is one that cares about his job, is a hard worker, and I appreciate his appreciation for what he does! He keeps the recycling center organized, clean, and it is easy to drop off my recyclables. I drive up at 12:45. The sign says they close at one for lunch . I've got about 12 items to redeem. He says they're closed for lunch. I come back a half an hour later and he says he didn't want to stay to redeem my items because I had few. Great customer service. Go to Burbank recycle center. read more

His attitude! I've been bringing my recyclables here for a few years now and on many occasions I've received discriminatory behavior from this man that runs the place. Today, he was trying to take another customer before me even though I was in line ready to be processed and even when that customer acknowledged to him that he was ok to wait for his turn, he insisted to take him instead. Finally, when he saw that I confronted him and the next in line client insisted, he took my batch. It's sad that he thinks he can treat clients in the fashion. I've always been very courteous and respectful to him but it looks like he has his own preferences and treats clients as he feels like. I'm done going there ever again. read more

Very good service, and very good hours too. I was helped by Alexander and he could not have been more professional and kind. I had 3 huge bags of cans to recycle, and Alexander was able to get my stuff processed and my cash-in-hand super quick. Super rude guy there. Gives me a rude gesture as I pull into the parking lot. Then he slapped a plastic bottle out of my hand and then kicked over one of his blue bins towards me. Up until today was a really big fan of this place. They always had at least three gentleman working, and they always helped you from your car and made it a delightful, speedy experience. Showed up today on a Saturday - arguably the best time for people who actually work traditional jobs - to do their errands. Right in the middle of the day they had their recycling been switching out and doing their auditing for the week. It was bad enough that I had to wait 25 minutes before anything was actually looked at... But there were families with kids, other working adults, just standing around for a good 45 minutes while these guys took their time doing their "weekly audit". Why they couldn't do this during the work week when it's probably a lot less insane is the question. On top of that - they decided to have only one person working, and his attitude was, "sorry- too busy to help." Thank you. read more

The new ownership has made great improvements. The area is cleaner. The two guys working there are efficient and help you out with sorting your recycles. If you pre-sort it goes even faster! I also feel that the return is higher here and they pay you on the spot instead of going into Ralphs. They also seem to take a variety of metals other than aluminum. I was driving a little further out for another recycling center, but am happy to start coming to Ponce recycling center again. read more

Ponce Recycling Center took over shortly after RePlanet went out of business . There is no longer the familiar self service machines, but the two guys are fast and helpful. I didn't notice a drop off in the amount of money I got for my recyclables and the line moves much quicker. After weighing my cans & bottles I was asked to print and sign my name on the receipt and the money was handed to me. This recycling center is located at the north side of the Ralph's parking lot, so there is plenty of parking. Ponce recycling is open 7 days a week, unlike RePlanet. Ponce also has a hand sanitizer machine on site. read more

Nice people good service took all my cans and bottles 30 minutes before closing! Got a surprising amount back for what I dropped off!

Not worth it. Whatever their rates are they take a minority of everything you recycled. Believe me it's not worth it. Did the one in Thousand Oaks. Saved cans, glass and plastic for months. I thought for sure had over $100. In the end was $30. The individuals helping could not respond for language reasons and that's fine. They just weighed it all and gave me $30. Didn't answer questions. Lol so lesson learned....it ain't worth it. read more

Great people and it's a close drive. This place is pretty straightforward and I enjoy my trips there. These guys are easygoing to talk to and work diligently. I would definitely recommend this place for your recycling needs if you live in the Burbank or North Hollywood area! read more

Going to this place was recommended by my roommate so I didn't have to drive too far but the service is absolutely horrible. Matter how early you try to be before he closes he complains and says that you're not on time and that it's the first and the last time that he will serve you. The last time I went there the customer said she felt like she was ripped off so he's not counting correctly so he saves more money for himself. I also feel like he has something against white women in that area as no matter how nice I am to him he's always really rude and says awful things and it's just really bad business. A lot of us are struggling right now and we should consider the fact that some people are doing what they can to make it so I know it's a bad review for recycling center but I really think this business shouldn't be around. The guy who works there is rude and a fraud. He was closed since 12pm to 1:30pm and claims that he only closes for lunch from 1pm to 1:30pm. He doesn't pay out for all your recycling, he weighs the item but lies about the weights on the receipt saying that's the weight. So beware. read more

Since the Burbank Recycling Center has been closed I accumulated a LOT of recyclables and finally needed to bring them somewhere. Enter Ponce Recycling Center. I wish I had been going there this whole time. Customer service was top notch (unfortunately I didn't get the name of the guy helping me but he was great), they are fast, they had the cleanest bins and work area I've seen at any recycling center ever, and their hours make it very easy to take your redemptions in no matter what your days off. read more

This location is on Shoup Ave. they are great! Our regular recycling location stopped accepting bottles & cans. This location is so much better. Clean, friendly staff, & fair prices. read more
