I have been shopping at Pond Country in Colfax since 2012. I built my first two ponds and the staff at Pond Country has always taken the time to educate me about my pond, plumbing issues, general maintenance and so much more. I never left with unanswered questions. The staff has always been great, friendly and helpful. In November of 2024 I needed a new liner for my pond. Pond Country sent someone to access my pond and give me an estimate on the rebuild. I was tired of repairing my mistakes so I wanting a fully reconstructed pond. I cannot express how satisfied I am with the reconfiguration, the design and the size of the pond they built for me. It isn't just a pond, there are multiple waterfalls, streams and fountain features incorporated into the streams. I tell people I do not have to go on vacation, it is in my backyard in the safety of my own property. It is absolutely gorgeous, every aspect of the design and the final result of my pond is astounding. If you want it done right, hire a company that has been doing this for almost 30 years. While they built me a beautiful koi pond with water falls, they told me they would do monthly maintenance on my pond but then informed me that they do not provide that in my area only a few months after it was installed. Again they built a beautiful pond but do not count on them to service your pond after it is installed. I spent 75,000 dollars with them and feel like I was lied to. They specifically sold me on their maintenance packages. My pond is now full of algae and I am having a hard time finding someone to service it. read more

Visited here this past week and loved it! They have a variety of pond accessories and pond displays. Not only is this a great place to buy supplies but the displays onsite are very engaging for adults and children alike. Visitors can feed and interact with the koi who are people friendly. Fish prices are reasonable and come with a limited 30 day return policy. Plants are a little pricey but also come with a guarantee that requires a water sample. Visiting is free to the public and an enjoyable experience. read more

Yelp put me in CA but I live in NC. We have used the pond cleaning services of Pond Country a few years. We have always been extremely pleased with the results (always 5 stars). This year was a little different. The cleaning went well except when the cleaners were packing up, I ask about he string algae at one end of the pond. Our pond is about 25 X 12. About 8 ft of a wall was still covered with string algae. I was told that it wouldn't be a problem when I asked the cleaners about it. Within a week the pond waterfall had about a foot of string algae creeping towards the pond surface. I called the office and the manager told me that my time alloted to clean the pond had expired and the cleaners had to leave. I have never had an unclean pond after Pond Country cleaned. As I read other reviews, I find that nothing is Pond Country's fault. It is always the customer. I was told that I did not put the proper chemicals after the cleaning. Must be new management. They wanted to sell me two different kinds of chemicals to fix the problem that they caused. Next year I will ask if the same management is there. Not happy after spending hundreds of $. read more

Please be cautious they do not stand by their guarantee!!! I tried to return a $15 pump that was still under warranty. I explained that I had driven 30 min to get to the store and that the pump randomly turned on and off. After plugging the pump in unsurprisingly it worked. I again explained that that it would randomly stop working and that I had unstacked the rocks on my pond to get it out and driven 30 min. to replace it. He refused to replace it because I couldn't "prove" it stopped working. Because I didn't want to restack rocks and put a faulty pump back in my pond I just paid ano her $ 15 for the exact same pump to replace the faulty one. For $15 this company lost my buisness!!! read more

I have had my water feature for 1 year. Yesterday I had a spring clean out performed. Bruce and Eric did an amazing job! My fish were handled with such care they were not scared when they were returned to their clean home. The first year was my learning curve. I LOVE my pond however we can always come up with our "even better if" list. Bruce and Eric exceeded my expectations in every way possible.They spent time with me discussing my existing water plants, placement adjustments and a plan for spring additions. Bruce took the time to discuss what was done and to educate me on the new features that were added. Eric and Bruce are an awesome team. Paid $250 for a "consultation". Took over 2 weeks for someone to come out and now a week and a half and no price or estimate just a rough sketch. Was told it takes 2 to 3 weeks to get an estimate. I build decks and a quote is to the customer within 3 days. That is crap in over a month to get an estimate. read more

In 2001 I hired Joe Phagan with Waterscapes to install a 20x50 koi pond with one large waterfall and one small waterfall. There have been TWO major problems since the pond was installed. First the pond has no circulation. Second it has major water leaks. Why post something now? Two weeks ago I moved the rocks on the waterfall. A small back hoe was used to place these rocks so moving them was no easy task. (As you can see from the pictures these aren't small rocks). As I moved the rocks it became crystal clear why I constantly having to add water to my pond (and the expense chemicals to remove chlorine). The linear was NOT installed properly. The liner was cut extremely short in numerous areas - around the filter boxes, waterfalls and edges. Around the waterfalls the linear is suppose to have at least 2 feet from the end of the waterfall box. It is 4-6 inches. Why it hasn't been fixed I'm not sure. The linear around the small filter box is cut at the same level of the water, then goes along the edge for about 8-10 inches then finally goes back over the edge. It appears the linear was cut for the bigger size filter box. The linear around the large filter box is cut at water level as well. The pond also has NO circulation because the filter boxes where installed wrong per Aquascape specs - https://www.aquascapeinc.com/upload/29888_PRO-Fit_SS_Skimmer_Install_Instructs_FINAL_12-06.pdf - The boxes are suppose to be opposite of each other. My filter boxes are on average 10 feet from the waterfall and both boxes are on the same side of the pond. So, the water comes off the waterfall and goes right back into the filter box. Roughly 80% of the pond has NO circulation. Because of this improper installation we have never had clear water in our pond. Even as I write this review Joe has my pond featured on his website in his gallery section. He was at my home within the last 18 months but refuses to fix the issues. I should have said something sooner but please understand I grew up with the Phagan family, went to church with them, school with them and had hoped Joe would do the right thing.
