Ultra Classic Car Wash & Laundromat

Stopped here on a road trip to do laundry and wash my car. Lady inside was so nice and helpful! I…read moreloved her. Would come back just to talk to her. They also will wash your clothes if you would like. Automatic car wash also did a really great job washing my car. I was surprised.

My husband and I were visiting Montana for our honeymoon and Libby was the nearest town to where we were staying. Some nice ladies at Nordicfest told us about this carwash/laundromat and since we'd dirtied all of our clothes hiking the previous day, we needed to go- BAD! When we arrived there was a friendly lady working who offered to change our dollar bills for us and even spot me $2 while my husband went to the ATM- just so I could go ahead and start my 2 loads. We live in Rhode Island-and let me tell you- THIS would NEVER happen there! The machines at Ultra aren't new- but they get the job done and for only $2 a load- no one can complain! The dryers are a bargin at $1.25 a load and they are sure to get your clothes dry all the way- they first time! If you are aa Libby local- the best thing about this place is that you can drop your clothes off and they will wash/dry and fol your laundry in a matter of hours! *** There is one problem with the address listed on here- it is actually correct- but we had a difficult find it because the lady at the wash told us that 2 years ago the government changed all the street numbers as a part of some national security thing- and when you ask your gps to take you to the address listed- it takes you way out in the wrong direction. The Ultra Car Wash/Laundromat is located on Hwy. 2 heading away from Libby towards Troy. It will be on your right if you are going toward Troy and is directly across from a restaurant ( I forget the name).

So for a quick and easy touchless car wash, Metro Express does a pretty good job. And if you're not satisfied and your vehicle is still dirty, they allow you to immediately go through again for another wash. Also the guys and gals working there are pretty chill and nice. What makes it worth it is, the free use of their vacuums and they have plenty of them. As for price and value, just think, would you rather put the elbow grease in and do it yourself OR sit in your car while in neutral and be all done in a few minutes? Lol. They do offer a handful full of options with tier pricing as well as a monthly membership, where it's unlimited and you can go as many times as you want.

The management provided me with a sticker and directed me to place it on the back of my rear view mirror. It worked great! -Please see the attached photos of Idaho state law and the obstructed windshield. I was at the front of the line (at the gate), when I noticed that my sticker (on my review mirror was missing). I mentioned it to an employee, who didn't say anything, turned and walked inside the office. A short time later, another employee, who appeared to be very angry, came out and reached inside my vehicles open driver side window (without asking to enter my car or providing any explanation) put a new sticker on the inside of my windshield (driver side), which obstructed my view. He offered no explanation as to who he was, what was going on or why. Before it ruined my windshield tint or obstructed my view, I returned the sticker to my review mirror, as I had agreed to with management. A short time later, I discovered my old sticker, which had fallen off my rearview mirror, onto my floorboard. I shredded and threw away the old sticker). I took my vehicle through the carwash several more times without issue, until the last time. I was waved into the wash area. The same angry man, put his face next to my now open driverside window and in an angry voice told me that he would cancel my membership, unless the sticker was placed on my windshield. Shocked, I told him to cancel me. I went to the office to ensure, my refund for the remainder of my subscription. Again, the same angry man (I now learned new assistant manager) came to the desk. I told him that his "customer service sucked." He looked surprised. Perhaps he is new to a job where good face to face customer interaction and communication is necessary, expected and appreciated. This was all so unnecessary and disappointing. A calm and professional explanation as to what was happening, what had changed and why, would have made so much more sense. I probably would have cancelled my membership anyway, if there was no way for them to identify my vehicle without obstructing my windshield. I did call the main office, unfortunately they didn't seem to care about the situation or the terrible way he treated me. This was even more disappointing. I have attached photos of the Idaho State Law requiring that windshields NOT BE OBSTRUCTED and an OBSTRUCTED windshield with the sticker attached.

I find that the brown bear carwashes vary greatly depending on location. Having been to most, if…read morenot all of the locations, the newer the spot, the better the wash. For example, the Brown Bear in Puyallup, WA is not as good as driving a little further south on Meridian Avenue to discover one of their newest locations in Graham, WA. The Graham location is not only new, with a better ability to clean, but has self wash if your car is super dirty or you like to pre-prep your wheels, as I do. I find the Graham location to be cleaner overall and with vacuums that suck better. However, you can never go wrong visiting any of the Brown Bear locations, as they are all able to wash your car better then other carwashes. I have been a customer of Brown Bear for many years. I currently have monthly plans on all three of my cars. The membership plans that allow you to wash as many times as you want, ( I have been known to wash one of my cars 3 times in one day) even back-to-back. The prices pay for them selves as long as you wash your car 3x in a month. As for Brown Bear as a company, that guarantees their service, they are second to none. I have had damage occur once on a vehicle I own. The Carwash broke off my wiper in the back of the car. I contacted the location, and they in turn, contacted the main office. I was quickly contacted by the district manager and the issue was resolved in a very acceptable amount of time. I needed to get an estimate of replacement, including parts and labor from the auto dealer location. Once that was given to the DM, a check was mailed immediately. What a great place to do business, and what a NW staple. I am very proud to have Brown Bear part of our communities. And I look forward, knowing my cars will be clean. (except when the NW rain takes over)
