This is for the Kihei location and mostly geared toward c-suite and growers covering the negligence of quality control, supply chain and production. The service and kindness (from the ladies anyway) is always great, they embody aloha and are so kind. I love their kindness and energy. If I take their advice, usually spot on with recommendations. It's a hyperbole because they know what they're selling and what they like, but the inconsistency of product quality makes it hard to even take recommendations anymore. The products, make me feel like there's issues going on with the supply chain that needs strong oversight and quality control. I don't think, without the support of Big Island, that this place would make it. Maybe to people craving some weed in a dry market yea, those people will smoke anything. But not on quality and value level with your highest spenders who need quality and consistency. If one goes with Big Island, 75% of the time you'll find AMAZING quality, but the 25% is a real bummer. They're capable of real fire, but that 25% subpar product they put out is trash. If you have access to a lab, it doesn't even have to be that way. Thats no accident. There are no accidents when the stakes are so high in such a regulated industry who cares about their patients... right ? It's not like other more established states or even Thailand where you can find consistent, terp heavy amazing quality that's relatively affordable. In Hawaii, seems you get ripped off with products and brands that have no business in the business. And being disabled, it hits even harder. I've purchased 10+ carts in the last 2 months and half were straight trash. You know, it tastes horrible and gives you a tummy ache and has no medicinal value. So yeah is evident that most of this industry is a sham, and real ganja artisans are the much the subjects of myth as great food on Maui. Something someone ingests for relief from serious pain should never be reduced to the equivalent of high priced slop on a plate, much like pretty gift wrap to a turd present. I am greatly offended actually at the level of inconsistency and lack of quality and care in about 25% of Big Island grown products , and in about 85% of any other brand. This ain't a mistake, it's deliberate negligence and inability to stand on business and properly treat people. Even when I would let them know, they missed the opportunity to make it pono, an affront to their very name. This isn't the employees fault, this is lack of c-suite and proper leadership to properly train people. So here's what to keep in mind if you're a connoisseur and not just someone looking for anything smokeable; RSO- pretty consistent and good feeling. Prerolls- meh, even if you find one that's great one week, inconsistent so it's dicey. Don't stock up. Try one and return for more and cross your fingers the whole batch is pono Cured resin - hard to go wrong Diamonds - awesome hard to go wrong Carts - VERY risky, especially from brand other than Big Island. If you like the highest quality and not sucking on trash for medicine, stick with the above. If you're the type who enjoys anything no matter the taste or quality, you'll be good with whatever you get here. I am just amazed at how just a few companies run this whole industry and no one seems to know how to truly grow great product consistently. It's weed, not a freaking bonsai plant, and with unlimited budgets and high ROI , the best expertise a call away, the amazing climate and soil, how far the industry has come, all the effort to achieve this with such limited licensing (we all know how that works) they can't even produce award winning ganja. And here's a lil secret: IT COST THE SAME TO GROW IMPECCABLE AWARD WINNING GANJA AS IT TAKES TO GROW BAD PRODUCT. This is Hawaii, there's no excuse, you have climate, you have biodiversity, you have the wisdom of the ancients in that soil and an amazing sun, where da aloha ʻāina at?? intentional negligence of grow and quality control because you can still make 4k-6k a pound even if the quality is bad isn't pono. And you can say "we just sell the product" but that's not an excuse. If it were my name behind a name like "Pono", I'd breathe it. Once Pono takes a product from a manufacturer, you could trust it because if it's not pono they're gonna make it pono, and I can trust that they test their products and know what they're selling. Quality control is the easiest part of the process! As a disabled person already suffering, it would be epic to know there's a place I can count on I for one have cut my spending drastically. I spend 400-600 some months (that's PER DISPENSARY), I've thrown away so much. Maui Grown is way better but even then issues with consistency. Gone back to saving my little money and growing my own (legally), 8 weeks from curing I already know I'm back to award winning medicine- and guess what? I haven't grown in over 4 years! read more

this is a dispensary with no flower and they keep telling the staff its coming and it has not. When they have flower in stock I prefer Pono but flower has been limited for over a month and now they have none with no idea when they will be stocked up again. Both locations have this issue in Kihei and in Lahaina and they are working on a new location in Kahului which will need products as well. read more

Great staff! Always friendly and laid back. No hassle experience. Walk-in service. You may have a short wait at times but it's worth it. Prices are great. I've been waiting on an edible beyond the initial lozenges offered and now it's here! I was doubtful at first but they are exactly what I hoped for. Talk about a kid in a candy store! I really appreciate this because I prefer edibles and tinctures ( the tinctures are fire). They taste good too. The current flavors are mango and strawberry. I got all mango. They steal your money on delivery orders! Do not do delivery! Thieves! They will take your money then demand more and not give you your order.
