Love the vibe and layout , the ultra secure checkin (compared to kihei) feels welcoming once you're in. Putting a phone up to some glass and a bullet partition feels weird in Hawaii, that's not even a thing on the mainland. I say 3 star because I've spent a whole lot here. I am a connoisseur of quality, service and value, and while the service is awesome and I like the people, the products, just like Pono Life, are inconsistent and at times amateur. From the perspective of someone well experienced, I've gotta say that some of the pure shyte I've spent hard earned money on for relief of my pain and suffering as a disabled person, is a laughable. For a place, granted existence by insurmountable financial resources, politics, privilege, a dream, organization and hard work, to have such high prices yet skimp on quality control and service, is a disgrace to the very cannabis community of patients seeking relief who support you. You're making $4400-6000 A POUND on the prerolls, there should be no margin for error AT ALL! This is weed, it's not bonsai, it's not hard to grow great product at all, and consistent quality isn't even hard. Like what? Literally some of this is like old brick weed. While I acknowledge that challenges can exist in growing, it's usually not the whole crop, so why when trying different strains they're all inconsistent except the Crater Lake (mildly inconsistent but mostly on point regularly). Quality and supply chain control are among the easiest parts of the whole process! Consistency in products, even products once tasting great, I've seen go WAYYY down. I wrote and sent a photo and even voiced concern in person about the Berry strain with seeds, which the bud clearly didn't grow to maturity (appears something went wrong during the grow cycle and it went hermaphrodite so I couldn't even use the seeds) and think anyone replied or offered to replace the prerolls? Nope. The diamonds and cured resin, much like Pono, are great. The prerolls have been about 50% consistency of quality. The worst is when you remember a strain was great and you try to stock up and it's all crap. Seeds and bud that look damaged by light and yet still put into production. Improper drying and curing and high degree of moisture in flower buds- not a fan. Overall, the quality has been better and more consistent than Pono, but not enough to keep me spending 400+ a month any longer. This shouldn't exist in a well regulated industry, in Hawaii, where you've got no excuse to produce only the finest. None at all. Unless the motive is profit over patients. There is no excuse for deeply subpar product to make it into the marketplace when the marketplace is so small and controlled by so few. That leads me to believe it is deliberate negligence because in such a highly regulated industry, how could this happen right? I've gone back to simply (legally) growing my own, in about 9 more weeks I'll be drying then curing and likely won't spend even 1/3 of what I used to, but I'll miss the kind people for sure, the aloha definitely helps but it's NOT aloha when someone tells you about seeds and poor experience and even sends photos and no one replies, or wants to help in person. Thats not a nuisance, that's not a customer being a butt, that's a disabled person with feelings, that's an OPPORTUNITY for your business to show that maybe just maybe, in a world of hurt and pain and that can feel so unfair, that there's some place I can go where I'm not taken advantage of, NOT ripped off, where concerns after patronizing faithfully with a smile, and supporting you. That was your chance to be aloha. You don't have a moment to reply to an email or take me aside and be like "hey let's chat, can I see it? How can we make this better because we stand behind our patients every product we put out cause we love what we do. You can be firm but you can be fair too! Think about it let it marinate, am I wrong? Im speaking for everyone - How do you think it made that patient feel to ingest something over and over again as of such poor quality? To return and keep buying hoping to find quality. Do you think it made their body feel good? That's poor service to not acknowledge or make it right. Pay attention to the quality and consistency. If you put out B grade or C grade product, the prices should reflect that, not a one price of everything. Very profit driven and NOT in alignment with patients rights to quality, pure healthy medicine. Wish I could pick apart the whole supply chain and help, because this is a common convo amongst patients, many of whom are afraid to speak up. I'm not. I'd love to see an elevation in quality and consistency. Grow harder and love the people supporting you. If it's subpar product, make the prices reflect it, or use it as compost or donate it, so many sick people hurt people who can't afford. Do good. Always. read more

The most amazing effecient customer service. Love this place. 100% going back. I believe this is the only or one of the only dispensaries in maui that sells concentrates (pens with thc that are so potent, easy to smoke, discrete) I went on a trip with a few people but did not want to buy a bunch of flower and hunt down a pipe shop while on vacation. This dispensary is very close to the airport making it like super easy to find. I belive its in "town" in maui. Such a cute little place with like 8-10 stalls, must be a legal card holder to get in. I got in to a waiting room, filled out "first timer" paperwork (like 2 papers) waited like 2 minutes and was let in to another waiting room. Waiting room #2 had couches, tv with menu, and PIZZA! "Help yourself" it said! Never in my life in the dispensary in oahu was i served PIZZA. I didnt have any but was so excited. When i walked into the "shop" there was so many people working maybe 4/5. A girl helped me she seemed local and was so kind and investigated my needs. I told her about how i dont want to get flower. She asked me my budget, got me the concentrate i needed, and even upsold me FLOWER! Im so glad i did too because i ended up finding a tiny little pipe so easily (she recommended me a couple of places) Im definitely coming back! After recently receiving my medical card I headed over to MGT. They have a good selection of buds and resin as well as tincture. I hope the state doesn't drag its feet for too long on the edibles, for many that is the only way they can ingest it. That obviously is not MGT's fault. I appreciate the specials they text out but I wish overall costs could be a little less. I was just recently in Colorado and the costs for medical users (as opposed to recreational) was half what we pay on Maui. Hopefully costs will come down in the not too distant future! I really like the layout of this place. It is setup like a Dr. office slash coffee shop. Everyone is very friendly and professional and they are all very helpful. I definitely can't wait till COVID is over, because they offer classes and other amenities. One thing to remember is that you do have to have a valid prescription from a Dr and you do have to fill out the paperwork but it was easy. I was able to do it the night before online. I do like the fact that they offer a lot of varieties to chose from and you are able to purchase flower, vape pens, they also carry topicals and pills. I personally prefer the flower or vape pens, I have found that some of the topicals help with muscle and joint pain. Everything these guys sell is excellent quality and they do run specials. My only complaint would be the pricing. It can be on the higher side but it is along the same lines as the other dispensary we have on Maui. It would be nice to see the prices come down especially since this is for medical. The people that work here are very knowledgeable and are able to recommend products to help. Whether it be insomnia, pain, or other symptoms. I definitely recommend these folks. I just got my medical cannabis card (thanks Certicann!) recently because I've been expecting Maui's first dispensary to open soon and it did! So if you're already certified just bring your card and ID and do the patient intake at Maui Grown Therapies. It took me 15 minutes to get registered and I've got my own dispensary ID now which has to be brought each time I visit. The staff here (especially Jamie) are all very nice and professional. The interior of the building is brand new and has a modern look but is still warm and inviting. I had a quick chat with a patient rep before going into the room where the products are. Because it's so new they only had 5 varieties for sale but I'm not complaining! I bought 1g of Blue Dream, Royal Hawaiian, Kolossus, Euphoria and Pennywise. I have now started to call in my order, so i hope that works out better to get the medicine i need before it is gone. Very poor customer service. Only 1 person at desk who spent 10 minutes on the phone before acknowledging our presence. We Fi illed out thE forms including the out of state questionnaire. Once she finally hung up she tools us we needed the Hawaii 329 card besides our Michigan medical card. We said ok that's why we filled out ALL 3 of the fforms while you were on the phone. She then told uss we needed to go see the list of doctors on a sheet she gave us, none of which had any idea how the Hawaiian system worked. Bottom line is despite what you read on ttheir website if you do not possess a Hawaiian medical card you are SOL. Would have been great to know bEfore I rented a car from the resort, wasted 1/2 a day only to be rudely treated. read more

I could only buy marijuana if I spent over 150 dollars- I only had 100. I walked out with nothing. This place cares more about money grabbing then helping people in need. I went here on sunday as a new customer. I had however taken the time the night before to fill out the online registration. I will say it made the process a lot easier. I had also previously checked out the inventory on line. It is a great website if you take the time to go on the website and read over the whole process it saves time and makes it all a lot easier. Once I entered the dispensary I was greeted. I showed the required credential. I was then let in to the inner sanctum. The place is really nicely done not cold but very professional.
