People that got a room never got shuttled to the venue they had to drive themselves and the only time it was used was when the bridal party was leaving at the end of the night. I do not recommend this company whatsoever.

Right off the "highway", it has a diner next door (I did not go but it was packed), 2 gas stations within view, a Burger King, Subway, and two convenience stores. This is a Super 8, low cost budget hotel. However, this one was not quite as nice as some others I have used in the past. The desk employee was terrific though. Super nice. The room however, evidently you are still allowed to smoke in hotels here, so while my room was non smoking (and did not seem to be used for smokers at all), the hallways smelled a little like smoke. Actually, a lot. I put towels under the door to make sure the room would not pick it up. That worked, but still, what hotels allow smoking anymore? The linens were sparse, and clearly older. I don't mind that, but use more bleach, make them whiter at least. The mattress was not terrific, but manageable. The ac worked well. Overall, this hotel could use a "pick-up" I think. But, since its the only game for miles I think they pretty much can do what they want. I will say, it seemed clean, no rodents or bugs. Always good.

Check-in was a breeze, although admittedly we had reservations already through the parent company (Sonesta). The lady at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. The parking lot was well lit and the property was well maintained. The owners obviously care about their business. The bathroom was clean and functional. The soap and shampoo dispensers were difficult to dispense, though. The bed was very comfortable, although the pillows were flimsy and definitely not the best. It might've helped if there more than just two for a king sized bed. The chairs were also comfortable. The furniture has seen better days, but it was not run down. The vacuuming could have been more thorough, too. The AC worked very well. There are few lodging options in the area, but there is reason to be here, or even if it's just for a quick overnight during a road trip, you could do worse. It's reasonably quiet, and you'll get a good nights sleep.

So bad, in fact, we had to pull over twice as there was zero visibility, and the semi that jack-knifed into the median didn't help! After 12 hours of driving, and dealing with another bout of rain, we decided to pull off, get a few hours sleep, and get back on the road. Price was good: $77 for one king. Room was sadly old with peeling wallpaper, the carpet had not been vacuumed as we found gum wrappers in plain view, and they reused the plastic in the garbage can, which normally I wouldn't have even noticed, but it looked like someone had poured pea soup in ours....eck. To make things worse, the a/c was moldy smelling so we left it off and opened a window (on the ground floor, no less). The entire room had a funky, unpleasant overall smell. I checked the bed for "visitors" and found none, but instead of making up the bed, the sheets, top and bottom, were both just laying across the bed! I did yank off the blanket and quilt and although I would have preferred to leave and go elsewhere, we were exhausted. The plan is to fall asleep early, wake up early, and get brkfst on the road. Oh, the bathroom was dated but clean (hence the second star). Shower was warm, shower head could stand to be degunked, but I wasn't grossed out. If you're passing through Wenona, it's your call if this sounds like a place to save a few $$ or continue looking somewhere else. **Just discovered the walls are paper thin...

The room had lots of electrical and usb outlets, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom and shower relatively large. There was even an adjustable shower-massage type nozzle. There was a large indoor pool. Breakfast had omelets, sausage, fried potatoes, waffles, yogurt, breads, bagels and muffins. No fresh fruit. We'd definitely stay again.

In the morning that cooked food smell was still there. It's a very strong smell and not one I would call "good". We were given a room in the back and the rear entry door was broken so anyone could get in the hotel without a key. The hallway smelled terrible. It smelled like maybe a toilet backed up in a room. Our room was thankfully clean but it was very cold and took almost an hour to warm up. We set the temp at 72 and the heater didn't turn off the whole time we were there. THIS HOTEL IS LOUD! It sounded like people running and jumping in the room above ours. It started at about 9:00 PM and went until midnight. Started again at 6 AM. not to be outdone, people on our floor ran down the halls yelling and speaking loudly. The hotel is definitely budget but I've paid the same price in other places for much cleaner and nicer. The vibe of this hotel is that nobody cares because it's right off the highway and they'll always get some poor, tired sucker who can't go any farther... like me.
