Giovanni took us for about a 45 minute ride around the St Croix while we dined on wine and cheese. He sang us a few songs and taught us some Stillwater history. It was neat to find out the gondola was actually shipped from Italy and that Giovanni has been giving rides for the last 17 years. He made sure we kissed under the bridge for good luck and gave us some great recommendations for other things to do in town. The second enclosed level was air conditioned with plenty of seating, a cash bar and served a buffet style dinner that was very good! Upon arriving for a first timer...I was confused on the process of getting a table and ordering food. There was no signage anywhere that said...please seat yourself and order at the bar. That would've helped tremendously. I had to ask someone to get some guidance. We originally chose a table in the sun since it was the only one available and waited for someone to clean one in the shade and moved there. They have the triangle sun shades above to shade you from the sun. Drinks - we ordered beers and for myself I ordered a skinny colada. 10/10 on the drink, it was refreshing and delish. Orders at the bar and brought back to our table. Food - I ordered the South of the Border rice bowl with chicken. 9/10 on that item. It was a little sparse on the chicken otherwise it was really good. Flavors were nice. Hubby ordered the pulled pork platter with a side of coleslaw. He was blown away by the bbq sauce which was provided on the table and said this Memphis style bbq is no joke...it's delish. He also wishes he had more meat on his platter. We'll be back to buy some BBQ sauce for sure.
