After being turned away from many grooming shops, fate brought us to the Pooch Parlor. We have a Newfoundland Puppy who was nervous for her first ever grooming service. The women here are extremely patient and just really kind hearted to Nana, our shy fur baby. Nana had matting spots and as Newfie's go she had about 5 pounds of extra fur. This is the first review (let alone a negative one) This was a VERY, VERY unsatisfactory grooming experience. Choppy and sloppy. Took FOUR HOURS, claiming he didn't like the blow drier (though he's been blown dry by his now retired groomer for 10 years.) On top of that torture to him, she charged $95.00! He has been going to the same groomer for 10 years. She has always done a PERFECT job, had him done in an hour and never charged me more than $55.00. Lucky me I guess I was spoiled. I'll find someone more competent and less greedy. read more

This facility charged me $170 to completely torture and DESTROY my beautiful husky's coat. He was brought in for a de shed and to remove a few mats. The groomer "in training" they put him with decimated his fur. I'm not sure I can ever get it back. Now I need to take him to the vet to get evaluated by their groomers. She told me to put neosporin on his broken skin (known to cause hot spots) He was trying to bite her because he was in so much pain. I was there in tears and the manager offered me chocolate. They ripped out his fur. Amateur hour. NEVER TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. I will be posting these reviews until I am fully refunded. read more

Took all three of our dogs in for a bath and grooming. All three were impeccable. Little Cooper (mini Aussie) has a previous skin issue and the special bath he got cleared up all his problems. Can't thank you enough. Client for life read more

If I could give more stars, I would! DuAnn and the team were so wonderful with our two yorkies! Our dogs are older (12 years old) and have only been professionally groomed a handful of times and the whole team was so patient with them. The care and empathy they showed was so genuine and they do everything to make the experience as easy as possible for the fur babies and their parents. They are very knowledgeable and have so many tips and tricks on how to create the best experience. We stayed with our dogs while they were being groomed and DuAnn let us know everything we could do to be helpful and comfort our fur babies. She cut their hair exactly how we wanted it and our babies look amazing!! We will certainly be coming back and highly recommend bringing your fur baby here!! read more

I love this place! Have been taking my Poms there for years. One of my Poms has a very thick puffy coat. The owner does the best teddy bear cut for her. I have a newer Pom that is a bit high stress in the best of cases. But the girls there are great with her. My fur babies always come out soft and smelling good, with the occasional bow or necklace depending on who groomed them. read more

I cant believe how good this machine works! My dog is jumping and running around after having his session! I am a believer! I am so happy that I had Benny done! His morning routine is usually running outside with his other younger brother but brother is usually ahead of him not anymore! Ben is running ahead of Cody!!!! In a world of greed this owner's honesty was refreshing. Went in with my Flat-coat Retriever wanting a shampoo and a trim on his long coat, the owner stated right up front that anything other than a complete shave would be painful for my dog. Maybe she was right, maybe not, but at least she was upfront. read more

They are the best I've been taking my elderly corgi/ mix to her for a few years and it's nice to be able to take your dog in and not have any hidden cost or a vet ( like north Idaho hospital make you feel guilty for not being homeless in order to spend every cent on your dog read more

I called this place on a Sunday at about 4:30 and ask if they were still open and the lady said she would wait for me to show up to clip my dog's nails which needed it badly. I ended up getting in a traffic jam on the way there and showed up right at 5 thinking she wouldn't take me. But she didn't give me an attitude or anything she was just smiling and friendly and clipped my dog's nails right then and there. My dog never had her nails clipped before and so I didn't know how it would go. But she gave my dog a treat and calmed her down and had her nails clipped in no time and it was very non traumatic for my dog. I'm giving 5 stars on the nail clipping. My dog doesn't get groomed but if she did I would take her here because it looks like a nice wide open place with a very clean environment and very friendly people. read more

Unfortunately I found my experience here to be less than satisfactory. I had an appointment for an owner stay groom with my 1 1/2 yeah old mini aussiedoodle who is not experienced with groomers. He was given a very choppy job on his face and quite frankly manhandled in my own presence with the owner multi tasking and not taking the time to do better work or be more gentle and ease him into it. I was charged fully for not even an hour of time because I was waiting beforehand and due to the fact that she wouldn't brush out his minor matts in order to actually cut the rest of him without a shave, he didn't even get cut. They could have told me beforehand to have him brushed out. I should have taken my vets advice and avoided going here for good reason. I will not be back. Not impressed and feel like it was a waste of my time and I wasn't going to argue about the payment but I feel ripped off! She was completely stressed out with multiple other groom jobs she managing at the same time and phones and questions to answer. I'm pissed and I have to say you suck and should really be more respectful to new customers. read more

I was staying in town & my puppy desperately needed a bath. The staff were overly friendly & treated my puppy like it was their own. Went in a week later for another bath & they only charged me $15 & let her play with the other dogs. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

I have had nothing but good experiences at The Pooch Parlor. My dogs have always been treated well and the groomers actually know what they are doing. The Owner is wonderful, and obviously loves what she does. I would recommend this shop to anyone. read more
