Pool Scouts claim that my pool is green because of cutting the yard and clippings going into my pool after saying overgrowth tall grass etc. Completely untrue about cutting clippings going into the pool! I have lived here for 15 years and the pool was here when We purchased the house, we know how to cut the grass where it doesn't go into the pool and certainly have not had a green pool like this before now! There were never several messages only 2 which were put in a report that was written after visits Which was during the time it rained every day and no I didn't go out in the rain to look at the pool pump which by the way was also in the report that they had performed services at the equipment pad cleaned and lubricated pump lid gasket, then in notes said they couldn't get to pump or filter because of the weeds. i don't know about everyone else but I see a direct contradiction of what they say happened in an email that they sent after I called to fire them because they charged me over 300 dollars in 2 weeks and my pool was swamp green! Once i saw where they wrote in The notes that were posted in the reports (which until the pool turned light green I didn't read because I trusted they were doing what they were supposed to) and I saw that The technician wrote he couldn't get to the pump for the "jungle" (so professional) yet he still said he cleaned and lubricated pump lid gasket which he said in the notes he couldn't get to exactLy 2 times and I immediately went out that very afternoon when I got off work and took care of the overgrowth! which was May 27,2026 With a set of hedge clippers and a garden hoe not a mower. then i cut the grass when it dried up enough that I could mow the grass on June 2nd before they came out on June 3rd and said he could get to the pump and the green should clear up quickly. They came back out on June 10th where he stated on the report that there was 0 free chlorine in the pool and 0 total chlorine in the pool. Remember this is the second time the tech said he could get to the pump (so why was there no chlorine? Because he didn't add any the prior week) he came back on Friday June 12th and my husband asked him what he was going to do about the green pool and he told my husband that he could maybe come back on Monday to try one more thing. He did nothing but look at the pool on the day my husband spoke to him about it and so my husband called me at work to tell me what the tech again said about the "jungle"! I called Pool Scouts at this point and spoke to the office manager about the green pool and I was aggrivated that they charged me over $300 in 2 weeks and my pool was swamp green and it didn't sound like the technician knew how to rid the pool of the swamp condition he let it get into. Then when I get home from work I get an email from the owner blaming the green pool on me growing a jungle yet cutting the grass so much that the clippings from mowing was the reason it was green and then said they would no longer service my pool and would not do the remediation of the green algae. I have printed out all of the reports and can prove it was only twice the technician said he couldn't access the pump. My biggest problem with this is if they had text me about any issues they had all of this could have been avoided. Basically they had no idea how to fix the green pool so blaming it on me and termination of service was their only way out of it. if you read other reviews of this company you will see the pattern of them canceling service to others whom complained about their service. read more

If I could give these people a 0, I would. They came for the initial visit on a Friday and the next day nothing worked on my pool. It was the weekend and they don't work on the weekend or take calls or messages. I got my neighbor to help me. Then I was out of town for the next two Fridays. They never came back. My pool was not serviced for two weeks. Apparently I was canceled but no one notified me. I called them and no one answered the phone. I left messages and no one responded. I need a reliable service. Apparently their technicians are invisible. We were charged (Much higher than we'd been told) for cleaning they claimed to have done, although we were at home looking out the window at the pool, waiting for the technician to talk to him and he never appeared, though he insisted he had. We emailed three times, left voice messages three times and heard nothing back. Finally, after we'd already been charged for the invisible technician, we got a text saying it had been done. The "proof" they said was an email in which they claimed to have done it. They couldn't figure out which day they'd done it. They showed "before and after" pictures that could have been taken anytime, but since we are retired and spend our time in the room that overlooks the pool, we can safely attest they didn't come on the days they charged us. Nice try at deflecting. You replaced my motor because you vacuum wasted my pool below a safe level to have my pump on, despite me asking you repeatedly to just turn it off in those situations so I could add water after I get home. I have absolute proof of all the times I told you of my dissatisfaction, so please don't act surprised when you're put on the spot. My pool looked awful while you "serviced it" and it is apparent the delicate science is something you struggle with. I have photos and videos and emails and texts. wanted to leave an update on my past post- So after I posted my 1st review I believe the owner contacted my husband and they came out EVERYDAY before my event Friday. They were able to get the green out of the pool and stayed in good communication with my husband. I believe they checked all the past pool logs and dealt with the staff that was in charge of our pool cleaning. I was happy to be able to have a good event for my friends moving away! read more

One star because zero stars not available. Hired Pool Scouts to maintain pool while we moved out of state. They made 5 or 6 weekly service calls. the last service call left our pool with "mustard" algae. Technician wrote on last service call "skimmed pool, emptied skimmer, shocked pool." No mention of treating algae or scrubbing pool. My Realtor reported that my pool looked horrible. I called Pool Scouts and terminated their service. The guy answering the phone didn't ask why or offer to make it right. He acted like he's been handling a lot of the complaint calls and it wasn't news to him. Hired a new company. Technician reported that my pool was a "chemical disaster." New company had to purchase $185 worth of chemicals to clean pool and rebalance. Do not hire Pool Scouts. read more

All the companies in the area are swamped and have a lot of clients they need to deal with on top of the weather etc. I have found this company to be accommodating, reliable, and responsive to feedback. This pool company is a scam hired them to clean pool and heard every excuse in the book from water to low or bad weather. Just help them selves to fence back yard without knocking. Called office many times requesting call backs also texted and call Jordan which had no response/unprofessional. Agreed to 50.00 a week they charge anywhere from 225 to 85 without asking or giving a break down on charges. Pool never swim ready after 6 plus weeks. Hired another and 1 week swimming don't fall for the scam. read more

I have been a customer of Pool Scouts of Pensacola for the last three plus years. I believe we have been through 3 owners now. When the most recent owners took over we started really having trouble. At first when I sent an email or contacted the company they were responsive and wanting to take care of the issues: the pool not being cleaned despite the techs sending emails that it had, sand and debris being left in the pool, our Polaris being disconnected or techs not showing up. I reached out the week of May 23, 2022 and was sent a text from the owner stating he would come out and personally handle the ongoing concerns and meet with me. He stated he had been sick and behind the 8-ball so to speak but he would be at my home the following day. He never showed or even bothered to text. I gave him until Friday of that week to reach back out and he never did. I sent a text to his phone letting him know that his lack of concern to even communicate solidified the ongoing issues and I wanted to cancel my weekly service. There had been 3 price increases in a year, refusal of follow up, blatant lies that services were being completed and ongoing issues. I would not recommend this business to anyone!!! read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This company does an awful j9b, and does not take criticism well. I have been paying a hefty bill for their services and the first time I brought up any dissatisfaction, they raised my bill. Of course, he always has excuses for everything but here are a few things anyone considering him should know. First off, he still bills you the full fee even if he doesn't service your pool. He will say it's raining, chemicals look fine, gets a full price bill. Put up with that a lot until a couple weeks ago I watched him on my security cameras get out of his truck, talking on a personal call, snapping photos of the dark clouds in the sky, then go my backyard where my pool is, send me a text saying it started raining as soon as he got there so he couldn't do my pool, then come back around front to get back in his truck and he apparently saw the red light on my camera and he quickly turned away from it, got in his truck and left. IT WAS NOT RAINING. I HAVE THE VIDEOS. Second, he kept telling me I needed to do all these costly things to fix a sediment issue. First it was, change your sand, that will definitely fix it, that's $400. I did it. He dumped my sand in my flower bed on top of plants and told me if I wanted something better, it would be extra. The sand didn't help, he said oh it takes a couple weeks.weeks go by, still no fix. Then he says it's most definitely a part on my valve, that is absolutely what's causing the sediment. That will be $300. I got another pool company to do it because they charged $120. His response to the huge price difference was, if you ever get a lower price elsewhere just let me know and I can match it. So, that means he was going to overcharge me $180 and not think twice. Third, the last time he was here he said he brushed the pool real good. Remember, I have cameras. I asked what he used to brush the pool, he said "your brush?" Well, my brush pole is broken, it doesn't work. He knew that from a text I sent him the week prior. I said my pole is on the ground, he said he always puts it back on the rack. My pool had huge areas that were clearly NOT brushed. He lied. Fourth, Let's go back to the brush. I had bought a new one and it wasn't even open yet, it was in its packaging, on my covered porch area. He opened it, used it, and left the trash there, without ever asking. Not sure why he can't use his own tools for what he wants to charge. Fifth, he didn't show up at all this week. Stop responding to texts and emails. I called the main headquarters and they said someone would be in touch asap. My pool is green. I told him that in texts and emails. Not a peep. I call headquarters again today. No response. I fire him by email and he responds with thumbs up and thank you. Immediately responded. So unprofessional. Waste of money. He treats the job like a bank account that he can just take people's money from for little to nothing in exchange. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone, not even my worst enemy. My pool had looked bad the entire time he's been servicing it and he always has excuses. Last thing he suggested as the cause of the sediment was that its because my pool is screened in. This company lacks experience, communication and integrity ... started out providing good service and had trouble servicing our screened in pool but instead of talking about it with the customer they just quit and left us with lots of chemicals and a slimy green film in it.... tried to blame it on our dog that hadn't been in the pool for over a week. They are good had automated emails and charging your credit card when service is not complete. read more
