Fast forward to today, I reached out because some guy came to service our pool (only knew because I'm home with a sick kid). The owner called me and said we'd been receiving service the whole time (news to us) and he'd like to start over. Then he made it clear he only meets clients before 3 pm through the week, and that it seemed like this wouldn't work. With all of the issues created by lack of communication on the businesses part, all we wanted was to meet face to face for a few minutes to set things up right. At that point, it was clear he didn't want our business. I'm shocked by all of this because the company gets great reviews, but they definitely aren't hurting for clients and their customer service is lackluster at best. We felt like just a number on a page from day 1. Definitely don't recommend this company. It's expensive compared to others and not worth the money based on what we experienced. We ended up having to do all kinds of service and troubleshooting in our own because the tech wasn't doing their job apparently anyways.

They couldn't figure it out and eventually gave up, telling me they didn't stock the part and that I should try ordering it online. I then found Benchmark Pool Supply online and went to their store at 3017 W. Bullard Ave in Fresno. The sales rep immediately identified the part, but they didn't have it in stock. Instead of sending me away, he called Bryan at their other store at 811 Barstow in Clovis. They FaceTimed and discussed the issue, and Bryan confirmed he had the complete valve assembly at a very reasonable price. I had my pool equipment fixed within 5 minutes. It really makes a tremendous difference who you work with--saving time, money, and gas. You can go to a store with inexperienced employees who don't seem to care, or you can work with knowledgeable, caring individuals like the staff at Benchmark Pool Supply. Tony responded first thing Monday and said he could come by at 11 Tuesday. (Yeah, it's April in central CA. I'm sure he was swamped...) He was at my door at 11:02. He confirmed that my pump needed replacing, and raised some other concerns about the system. By 2 pm that same day I had a new high end pump installed, my pool serviced, and several other longstanding issues addressed. And it didn't break the bank. In a half-dozen text messages and photos after the installation he taught me more about my system than I had ever learned from my prior service provider. His prices are competative and his service exceptional. I'm very happy I contacted Tony/Tony's Pool Service. It's great to have my pool done right for a change.
