I used to like Poopy's. It's really gone downhill over the last couple of years. After my last couple of visits, I'm not sure I'll be back. First off the service is horrid. It wants to be a biker bar so I don't expect polite and courteous service. If I wanted that I'd go to someplace else. My issue is that the last three times I went over the last year and a half the service was horrid. Slow, ignored, didn't care. Hell the last time I was there I walked out before I got my food. I came in, sat down, after about 10 minutes the waitress asks me what I want to drink, about 5 minutes later she comes back with it and asks me if I want a menu. Sure... cause who want's to peruse the menu while they're waiting for everything else. She leaves me one and then doesn't come back for another 10 minutes. I place my order... and then the waiting really starts. 10 minutes, 20 minutes.... I notice tables around me that were there first haven't gotten any food. My waitress hasn't been back to refill my drink... I hear my neighboring tables waiving down other waitresses to see what's going on. She assures them she'll look on it and came back. I overhear her tell the couple that their ticket is 3rd in line and that they currently have over an hour ticket times. Say what? I don't know if their kitchen is too small, they don't have the right staff, or they don't know how to run one, but in no world is that acceptable. As I had already been there for 45 minutes, based on what I heard it was going to be at least another 45 minutes before my food came out I flagged down my waitress and told her to cancel my order. I'll pay for my drink, but I can't wait around any longer. She goes to get my check, which seemed to take for ever, I gave her cash and waited for my change. Which also took forever. She comes out all sassy and says my ticket is 5th in line and am I sure I want to cancel. Based on the tables around me it seems it took them 15-20 minutes per ticket. So no... I didn't want to stick around. After I left I ran into others in the parking lot and they all said they had the same experience. Many of them where leaving to go elsewhere to eat. A couple of us where warning people arriving of the unreasonable wait times. Honestly, this place used to be fun and good... but not anymore. read more

This is a favorite day trip for us. If you're easily offended I'd think twice because even the menu is peppered with curse words and poop jokes. I find it hilarious! The new set up is self serve, which I was a little sad about. Order at a counter, order your drinks at the bar and find a seat. The food is good and it's really clean and everyone who works there is nice. The Bloody Mary is basic but good...I like mine spicy and they did it up! I ordered the half pound smash burger. It's hand pressed. You won't be hungry anytime soon after finishing that! I got the beef vegetable soup and all the vegetables were hand cut. I like my food from scratch and that's what you'll get here. In the summer you'll find live music and a huge crowd. There are plenty of places to stay nearby if you need to. read more

If you are in Savannah Illinois YOU MUST VISIT POOPY'S. It was a riot to sit at the bar on toilet seats! They have really good food and specials! The gift shop is also very fun. The outdoor area has several bars, stages for music, areas to sit and eat, a tattoo shop and also an area to get out of the water if you are kayaking or floating. Its a MUST SEE! read more

Open for business, indoor seating, and a ton of out door space. With live music in the evening. The food Menu is limited but not missing that you can't deal with. No Beer on tap, cans and bottles Lots of people are buying T. Shirts to support what is probably the largest tax generator in Savanna. The food is good not great, but I don't think they are going for anything extravagant. It's best when they are the busiest. I got one of the best burgers here during one of the past Busy times. I used to love this place when it was an actual Bar & Grill and would give it 5 stars back then. But now, not so much. Initial campground site was not available when I arrived on Memorial Day. Mickey put me in an awesome spot near the pond, which is by far the nicest spot! Campground is super clean with very friendly people and plenty of amenities! Mickey even bought us a beer when he saw us in town a couple days later. I highly recommend this place. Yooooo This place is awesome! My buddy finally got a street bob so him and I took a ride out (2.5hrs) and rode along the Mississippi and out to Poopys! Band freaking KILLED IT. The place was really busy but actually service was impressive. Ordered wings, loaded frys, and beer of course. Drinks were instant and food was within 10min. Great food too! They have bags, a huge venue and many bars, a badass bikini pool bar with some pretty woman in there! (Body shots welcome $25) They also have a sweet shop with tons of clothing (MAGA) and lots of other biker goods. We will absolutely be back! Been going to this place for for a while now. Previous food service was horrible due to lack of staff for how big the place is. Wait times were always long. Didn't mind the wait, the food was good and worth it. The menu for breakfast and lunch/dinner had a huge variety. Now???? Forget it. Revamped kitchen and food service. Very small menu, and the food quality has gone downward. God forbid you say something bad about the place on their social media page. The owner throws a temper tantrum, deletes the post, and bans you. For a conservative bar owner, you'd think they would have thicker skin to bad reviews and actually want to improve on that feedback. Friday, July 7th before noon - We decided to go to Savanna, IL instead of Galena, IL. Downtown was pretty lifeless with not to many places to eat, other than bars and not many stores. We decided to try Poopy's and it is a bar too. When we entered, there weren't too many people so we were able to walk right up to the counter and place our order. I ordered tacos and my husband ordered the italian beef sandwich. Our guests ordered a hamburger and the chicken dale (strips). We got the tacos & italian beef fairly quick and tacos were okay but my husband thought the italian beef was lacking & salty. Our guests waited at least 20 minutes before their order was ready. During this time, there seemed to be a discussion in the kitchen area with the cook. We actually finished our meals before our guests even got their food. The burger was ho hum & the chicken strips had no flavor what so ever. This was so embarrassing for us and we were upset that all four meals didn't come out together. Sorry, but we will never be back to Poopy's or Savanna again. read more

Not totally into their current setup for ordering & picking up your own food at the same counter you ordered from, but it's not that big of a deal. I would assume they probably switched it due to lack of wait staff during COVID. I hadn't been here in several years prior to my recent visit so maybe it's been that way even pre-pandemic, but I'm not sure. The restaurant is clean & very spacious, which they definitely need during summer with all the bikers that come in from all over & the events / concerts they have. No complaints on the food. The portions were plentiful & the pulled pork tasted good. It was tender, juicy & flavorful. Though I disagree with them politically, I don't think it would be fair to rate poorly just based off of that as everyone is entitled to their opinions. read more

This is a very fun place. Food is good, the all you can eat fish is really good. They have live entertainment all the time. If you are easily offended this isn't the place for you. just wanted to tell all fans of Poopy's be carefully I was there yesterday and they had a good female band playing the food was good however I went to buy lunch for my wife and I what I paid cash it was $32.00 I paid with a 20 a 10 and 2 singles after we eat my wife wanted to buy something from the gift shop so we went in she pick a blouse with tax was $42.50 I paid with my credit card these morning when I check my account I had a charge of $102.00 made out from the address only of Poopy's and then I had the charge for $42.50 made with the name of Poopy's so I just wanted to tell everyone check your bank account employes are stealing from customers read more

We had breakfast here. My husband had eggs sausage and pancakes. He said the sausage was great and the pancakes and eggs were fine. I had eggs over hash. The eggs were cooked the way I wanted it the hash was a bit like it came straight out of a can... not so good. All and all I would eat here again because the service was good and the food by and large was good. I have been there twice and waited to review until I went a second time. 1st Time I went on a motorcycle ride with my dad and he order a Burger Well Done. When the burger came out he bit into it and the thing RAW. One side of it didn't even have marks where it should have touched the Flattop. Not that Poopy's is the place to send back food, but you couldn't have anyway because there was no servers around anywhere. Plus, everything there is overpriced. I would rather have went to the Mc Donald's up the road 2nd Time I went with a buddy because he really wanted to go the place was dead, so we sat at the bar. There were only two other people across the bar and neither them nor ourselves received any service from the bartender. Food was okay not worth $10-12 per person plus what ever your drinks are. Food was alright and the portions were very filling, but the whole poop-themed menu thing is a little ridiculous. I understand they're trying to be humorous and take the 'Poopy's' name as far as they can, but seriously? Poop jokes? Are we 7 years old? I understand it's designed to appeal to a certain niche in biker culture (sport bikes need not apply), but I will not eat at a place where grown ass men and women find poop jokes funny. The only reason I'm giving it any stars at all is that they have some pretty talented tattoo artists with decent pricing options. However, even though it's probably good for business, I'm not sure how ethical it is to have a tattoo parlour connected to a bar. I was very impressed with Poopy's! When my boyfriend's family said we were going to a "biker bar" I had the worst image possible in my head until we arrived. Once we parked and I saw the establishment I was relieved. Yes, there are bikes and bikers, but not like your rough & tumble type joint you'd envision. We went on a Friday night and had the fish fry which was very good, however the server told us up front to order apps since the fish takes about an hour to come out. There is also a "gift shop" that has Poopy's branded shirts and what not as well as bike parts and other random things you might need out on the road. In the store these is a tattoo parlor too. The server never checked on us after our food was delivered. We never got refills and had to go to the counter to get our check and a takeout box. Best patty melt I have had in ages. Asked for it rare and not a problem. Occasionally we go to large chain restaurants whose policy is no pink meat. I love rare beef be it a burger or on rare occasion a steak. Poopies is a laid back eatery/bar which caters to a vary large diverse customer base. If you have never been there I highly recommend you go. They have live music during the summer. It is a beautiful area to ride a motorcycle. Basically bar fopd. Bar food done well. read more
