Open for business, indoor seating, and a ton of out door space. With live music in the evening. The food Menu is limited but not missing that you can't deal with. No Beer on tap, cans and bottles Lots of people are buying T. Shirts to support what is probably the largest tax generator in Savanna. The food is good not great, but I don't think they are going for anything extravagant. It's best when they are the busiest. I got one of the best burgers here during one of the past Busy times. Made it really good was it was cooked to perfection. I personally thanked the cook I was so impressed. In a nut shell it's one of if not the best all round restaurant/bar for many miles.

    Nice camping spot!

Initial campground site was not available when I arrived on Memorial Day. Mickey put me in an awesome spot near the pond, which is by far the nicest spot! Campground is super clean with very friendly people and plenty of amenities! Mickey even bought us a beer when he saw us in town a couple days later. I highly recommend this place. WiFi was great!

    Great menu

Biker bar with glitter and neon of a sports bar in heat. It's like your momma was a famous queen and your dad rode a Harley and this is you. Great atmosphere. Fun things to look. And if your inclined you can sit on one of the padded toilet seat chairs at the bar. Great daily deals. Trust me. It's fun.

    Owners reaction to a review.

Been going to this place for for a while now. Previous food service was horrible due to lack of staff for how big the place is. Wait times were always long. Didn't mind the wait, the food was good and worth it. The menu for breakfast and lunch/dinner had a huge variety. Now???? Forget it. Revamped kitchen and food service. Very small menu, and the food quality has gone downward. God forbid you say something bad about the place on their social media page. The owner throws a temper tantrum, deletes the post, and bans you. For a conservative bar owner, you'd think they would have thicker skin to bad reviews and actually want to improve on that feedback. Not this place. Pulled a liberal move and then boast's about it.

Maybe it was cool back in the day. Don't waste your time now. Over priced merchandise, terrible music and I hope you enjoy west Nile.

Food was ok. Maybe not worth the hype. Service was good. Was not crowded at all on a Friday night.

It has a lot more room than expected with enough space for live music. As for the drinks and food they're good stuff also. The prices can be high but it's not crazy for the atmosphere and quality. Basically this is one of the first places one encounters when entering town from the east. It's located in the Irish Cottage Inn & Suites. The hotel itself is very nice and has lots of amenities of its own if wanting to stay there. As for the restaurant itself it's one of the highlights. It's about $8 for an Irish coffee, which is a classic in the morning, evening, or whenever. Amazingly they have non dairy options including Bailey's Dairy Free Toffee Cream. It's about $18 or more for an entree which is a lot. We were able to find a few plant based options. I got the Roasted Squash Bowl. This has broccolini, farro, heirloom tomato relish, pickled red cabbage, and white beech mushrooms. An earthy flavor. She had the Vegan Shepherd's Pie. An alternative made with faux beef and mushroom gravy There's also plenty of meaty options like beef medallions. For sure it's one of the nicer restaurants around here. It's closed Mondays. They amazingly have a few things for vegans and vegetarians.

We were able to choose our table, so that was cool. The atmosphere was quiet and gentle. The Food & Drink Menu was at the table. It stated to Please Make Your Choice And Order At The Bar. We walked to the bar. I started off with the Jubeck Blonde. It was a Crisp, medium-bodied, golden, mild, easy-drinking American cream ale. It was $6. From the Classic Pizzas section, we ordered a Small 9" * $10 Pepperoni. It had tomato sauce, mozzarella & parmesan. From the Specialty Pizzas section, we ordered a Small 9" Carbonara. It had Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, parmesan, grilled chicken, bacon, roasted mushrooms. It was S-$15. We gave a card to open a tab. I took the Jubeck Blonde back to our table and gave it a try. It sure was crispy and a good drink to steadily sip. Speaking of crispy, the pizzas came out fast. I started with the Pepperoni. It was so good I could hardly stop. The amount of meat on the pizza sure was generous. Well, that one was going to be hard to beat, or so I thought. The Carbonara had such a precise flavor from the ingredients all masterfully blending together. I knocked out most of that pizza. Well, I got thirsty, so I went up to order the Mango Sour Guava. It was a Sour ale brewed w/ mango & guava. Fruity w/ tart & crisp finish. It was $6. I enjoyed it highly and it paired nicely with the pizzas. I went back up to order the Barnstormin' Ale. It was a Hazy American pale ale w/ citra hops. It was $6. I thought it was smooth, especially with the citra hops flavor. The drink disappeared pretty fast. The last one I went up to order was the Lavender Honey Wheat. It was an Herbal, medium-bodied, sweet, easy drinking, aroma rich. It was $6. This one definitely had a different taste than the others. I liked it in a quirky way and it was the best one to finish off my session. The service was prompt and friendly. We were shown around in the back to see how things were done and where the front used to be. That was a cool bonus! I didn't have any service issues. Overall, I had a great experience here. It's a bummer this place was in Iowa, because I would probably go often. Date of visit: 08/23/2024
