From the moment I approached this place, I knew I had to try it. I was excited to see what they had in store. I came here with my significant other. We were able to choose our table, so that was cool. The atmosphere was quiet and gentle. The Food & Drink Menu was at the table. It stated to Please Make Your Choice And Order At The Bar. We walked to the bar. I started off with the Jubeck Blonde. It was a Crisp, medium-bodied, golden, mild, easy-drinking American cream ale. It was $6. From the Classic Pizzas section, we ordered a Small 9" * $10 Pepperoni. It had tomato sauce, mozzarella & parmesan. From the Specialty Pizzas section, we ordered a Small 9" Carbonara. It had Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, parmesan, grilled chicken, bacon, roasted mushrooms. It was S-$15. We gave a card to open a tab. I took the Jubeck Blonde back to our table and gave it a try. It sure was crispy and a good drink to steadily sip. Speaking of crispy, the pizzas came out fast. I started with the Pepperoni. It was so good I could hardly stop. The amount of meat on the pizza sure was generous. Well, that one was going to be hard to beat, or so I thought. The Carbonara had such a precise flavor from the ingredients all masterfully blending together. I knocked out most of that pizza. Well, I got thirsty, so I went up to order the Mango Sour Guava. It was a Sour ale brewed w/ mango & guava. Fruity w/ tart & crisp finish. It was $6. I enjoyed it highly and it paired nicely with the pizzas. I went back up to order the Barnstormin' Ale. It was a Hazy American pale ale w/ citra hops. It was $6. I thought it was smooth, especially with the citra hops flavor. The drink disappeared pretty fast. The last one I went up to order was the Lavender Honey Wheat. It was an Herbal, medium-bodied, sweet, easy drinking, aroma rich. It was $6. This one definitely had a different taste than the others. I liked it in a quirky way and it was the best one to finish off my session. The service was prompt and friendly. We were shown around in the back to see how things were done and where the front used to be. That was a cool bonus! I didn't have any service issues. Overall, I had a great experience here. Super friendly and helpful staff. They he beer was great and it's located in a really cool building. We had a few appetizers and they were delicious. We had our kids with us late afternoon, early evening and they had some board games that kept them entertained. Great place. Came by here from Chicago for a weekend getaway with a couple of friends and really enjoyed this brewery. The beer list wasn't extensive but there was enough on it I wanted to try that I got a flight of 5 beers. I'm from NYC where beer and just about everything is super expensive, so paying $8 for a flight was a steal. I'm a huge beer fan and to be honest the beers here weren't quite for my taste but they were good enough overall. I loved everything else about this place though. The owners and staff are so friendly, kind, and welcoming. It's really nicely decorated with Christmas lights and hanging planes from the ceiling- nothing feels pretentious about it and it's nothing short of warm and cozy. Great atmosphere. Families come here and play games with their kids. They also have a self-serve snack table for chex mix and pretzels (free). I'm really happy we stumbled into this place in what is an area not really well known on the map and much less for someone like me who is from NYC. Wow. Wow. Wow. I can't tell you enough how cool this place is! It's cozy and so much thought was put into every detail. Okay, beer first: It's great! I tried some of the IFR IPA and the honey lavender wheat beer. My husband had the English bitter and loved it. The honey lavender was delicious, but a pint of it was a bit much. It was pretty heavy, and I could've done with a 10 oz glass of it. Service: Phenomenal. The place was hopping, but the two people working were on it! Now the details: There were tons of airplane decorations from models hanging on the ceiling to propeller tap handles to some of the beer names. There was a record player playing some fantastic jazz music and tons of records behind the counter. I'm sure if you requested an album, they'd be happy to play it. There was a little area with free snacks from salty items like pretzels to sweets like skotcharoos. At the front, there was a board listing food places who deliver with their hours, as well as a bunch of menus. The bathrooms even had a chalkboard to write on! I love it. Cozy little brewery in downtown Dubuque, not far from 7 Hills. They have a good beer list for being so small, I got the apricot ale and the Brainstormin Ale, both good beers. They don't serve beer, but they have free nuts and pretzels and crackers that you can fill bowls with, so that's real cool and can be very clutch if you need a snack. We went on a Saturday night and it was still pretty quiet, but if that's the mood you want then this is the place to, if you want a more peaceful setting but also a brewery. read more

My wife doesn't drink alcohol so I ordered diet soda. They don't offer it. I asked what they had and it was water,cream soda,or black cherry soda. I asked for cream soda and turns out they were out of stock. The bartender also said they offer root beer soda. I said ok but they were out so I had to take black cherry. First of all not everyone drinks alcoholic drinks. Not having a diet soda or lemonade is stupid. Then to offer 2 sodas to find out they were out of stock is poor. I won't be going back. Poor service. Went to this brewery on a Thursday evening and I was surprised at how busy it was. When we first arrived, there was only seating at the bar. The bartender was extremely friendly and helpful. My party and I all did a flight. Five samples for $8.00 from the flavors on the menu. Someone in my party ordered a darker one and that one was my favorite but they were all delicious. I had hoped to purchase a T-shirt as a keepsake but they were running low on the larger sizes. So instead I bought a cup! I was very comfortable here and enjoyed the different beer options and how unique they were. I will come back once I am back in town! read more

Would give Jubeck more stars if I could! My husband and I stopped in while visiting Dubuque from Atlanta. Living in the Southeast we've been to many breweries and Jubecks beers are some of the BEST we've ever had! Peach Vanilla and Pub Ale were standouts but you really can't go wrong! (Try London Porter, too!) Besides the excellent beer, the atmosphere is extremely cozy and we stayed longer than expected because of how welcome we felt. This brings me to the ultimate highlight of Jubeck which is the bartenders - Nikki (hope I spelled that correctly) and Pete! They made us feel like friends visiting going above and beyond simply just telling us about the beers. I'd come back from ATL just for them. Look forward to returning one day. P.S. This is a tiny, tiny place. But I really liked it. I had a stout that was really good. We were on our way somewhere else so it was a one and done but I would've liked to stay there had I had more time. No food but they had some little snackies set up in the back to stave off your hunger pains. Chex mix, pretzels, peanuts. A nice little touch. The brews were reasonably priced and my stout was served in the appropriate glassware that a beer snob such as myself appreciates! They had a good assortment of brews on tap. Nice change of pace bar. No TV's, no touch tunes, no video games. Just a good atmosphere with a nice eclectic crowd and some old school vinyl playing over the speakers. Jubeck Brewery is located in downtown Dubuque and there is street parking around the location. Their craft beer selection was excellent, with a variety of dark and pale ales. excellent crowd mixing it up on Friday after work. Young and not so young(saw 2 cougars at the bar) but still very stylish! I could have stayed there all night but we went elsewhere for dinner. Jubeck's has a short food menu, which looked interesting but we didn't sample it. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and positive. If you are in Dubuque, this is a must stop for beer lovers! read more

They have a very good selection of beers. There's a variety of beers from light to dark. IPA's, Ambers, Stouts, etc. The food menu is limited but L May's will deliver to the Jubeck's. If you're not sure what beer you'd like they do have beer flight available, which are served in biplane shaped beer holders. They have memberships available where you pay so much a year and have certain benefits, such as regular refills of growlers or a certain number of pints of beer a week. It seemed like a nice, friendly place to me with a nice atmosphere. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. read more
