Scheduled for the next day at noon but because it took me 18 min to respond to a confirmation text I received at 11:40 my appointment was bumped down in priority and arrival time became sometime after 1pm. I was happy to wait for a bit, I know these kind of things usually need some wiggle room, and as long as we could have wrapped up by 2 pm it would have been fine. The issue was the person I was trying to get a timeline from got so defensive immediately and talked my ear off about how the delay was my fault. I just didn't feel confident my time would be respected. I easily found another service to install my third lock (and straighten out the first two that were put in a bit crookedly) for less money and with a policy of keeping set appointment times. Jon did a great job installing our new smart lock. If you're in the same boat, I recommend doing your own research and choosing a smart lock that works for you before getting a quote (it will depend on the complexity of the lock). Additionally, when rekeying our other locks to match, he noticed some problems with our deadbolts that he also fixed on the spot. When I first reached out to him, I did feel like his prices were a bit higher than some other quotes I obtained. Still, something told me to go with him (and support a local business as well). After he finished the job, his prices made way more sense. He leaves a large window for each customer in case there are unforeseen issues or he finds problems that he could fix on the spot (this is common since locks wear out over time). An immediate fix is definitely preferred since each service call costs a substantial amount. So it does seem like he factors in additional time for each visit so that he's able to problem solve and fix as much as necessary. This was really helpful since like I mentioned before, our other deadbolts were not closing all the way.
