I was in a panic. Had locked my keys in car-or so I thought - called insurance company- they called a lock company that said 90 minutes out. I can't do that! Florida sun and senior citizen do not mix well. Asked for Pop-A-Lock by name since I had used them long ago and my insurance company said yes they were on the approved vendor list. I was not disappointed. Actually the locksmith who quoted 40 minutes arrived in less than 25 minutes. By then I got my car door open only to find no keys - they were actually locked inside my house. So we switched focus onto getting into my home. I had 2 important hard-to-get appointments that day (IRS and SS). The Pop-A-Lock tech (Marley) had a very challenging time getting my house locks open but he didn't give up. It was funny to watch him so determined to beat the door lock monster. Pop-A-Lock has an incredible investment in the community with their free service to pop a lock when a child is accidentally locked in a vehicle. What a blessing! We had a mix up with keys in a parking lot on a summer evening and contacted the Fire Department when our child was accidentally locked in our car. The fire department arrived, our vehicle was so new that smashing a window would be the only option then the fire dept contacted the local Pop-A-Lock on call contact as the weather permitted a bit more time to wait. We were willing to smash the window by the Fire Department had faith in Pop-A-Lock for a quick arrival. The Pop-A-Lock contact arrived within what felt like minutes which for Jacksonville was impressive. He came squealing into the parking lot and hustled instantaneously to open the door so we could remove our child. We were overjoyed. When I thanked him through tears, he then explained to me that he was a father and understood completely. He had been grocery shopping across town, left his cart and supplies behind, ran to his car, perhaps run through a few lights to arrive as quick as he could. All the while he appeared calm and collected. Pop-A-Lock could have charged whatever they wanted and we would have paid it. Instead, they offer their services free in scenarios that involve children. On March 17th I locked my keys in my vehicle. I had roadside assistance with GEICO and they contacted Pop-A-Lock in Jacksonville to assist me. I was so happy with the service I got. Shortly after GEICO said who they referred me to I got a call for the technician Anthony to let me know he had one call ahead of me and he would keep me updated on when I could expect him. I then got a call from dispatch updating me also. Anthony called me three time keeping me abreast of his status and he was on location exactly when he said he would be. On 10/6/17, I was running late for the surprise decorating of a friend's reception at a local restaurant and locked the keys in my car with all of the decorations, flowers, balloons and cake in it. I'm so happy Pop-A-Lock sent us such a nice, knowledgeable, honest locksmith with a great sense of humor named Russ. Russ was sent to me because we had a dishonest mechanic fixing our companies Dodge Pick-up and never finished the job. To make a long story short the mechanic is no where to be found and he still had the keys. I explained this to Russ and asked him if they Generated a Key (new word Russ taught me, lol) would the old key still work? (I didn't want the old mechanic to pull a fast one ;) ). Russ educated me and suggested I get whats called a "Re-Key" done which avoids old key from working. I was happy with the advice and went with the Re-Key option even though I had to pay a little more for the service but not by much at all. I asked Russ if I needed to reschedule due to the change in the work order? Russ was more then happy & had no hesitation in doing the work for me right then and there. The service did not take long at all and Russ made sure the keys worked and also had me to make sure the keys worked. Pop-A-Lock thank you for caring about who works for you because with a employee like Russ now I truly see why your company has been in business for so many years. Again thanks for the good work. P.S. Did I mention the Dodge has been sitting for a year or so? Russ was greeted by wasp with a wasp nest. The most terrifying thing happened - our 10month old baby got locked in the car, thankfully with the AC on. A state trooper in the parking lot was unable to help and told us to call a locksmith. In a panic we called pop a lock. They immediately dispatched someone. He called me right away advising he would be 5-10 minutes, the longest 10minutes of my life. He called back when he was at the traffic light to pull in making sure he knew just where we were. When he arrived he immediately jumped out and had our door open in 30seconds flat, you could tell he knew all that mattered was quick action. He then went to have me sign off on the service and advised there was NO CHARGE since a child was locked in a car. While I would have paid $1,000 seeing as my son was locked in, we were so impressed that Pop a Lock has this policy that truly showed they put people first. Told me 30 min.. He came and didn't call didn't knock on the door. When I called after 45 min the lady said he had just left and when I asked her why he didn't call or knock she said they weren't allowed to knock. Then she hung up when she put me on hold. Called back and then the next rude rep said that he did knock and called. They had the wrong number and it's no way they knocked because myself and two other adults were quietly sitting on my sofa waiting for them to come. When he finally came he refused to answer wether he knocked or not. Then refused to open my car because I kept asking him and left. Next guy came knocked and said it was him who came and left the first time. LIAR!! And THEN when he took my credit card and license he sat in his car. I noticed another man in the car with him. I asked does the man work for the company, he said no that's my buddy.. SO HE HAD MY PERSONAL INFORMATION AROUND SOMEONE WHO DOESNT EVEN WORK FOR THE COMPANY!!
