Pop a lock was called through my insurance company to come give me a jump. They gave me a 10 minute notice so I went and stood by my car. After waiting for about 25 mins I called to see what was going on. They preceded to tell me the service person was there. We went back and forth that he wasn't. So I wasn't helped and the driver didn't call to communicate with me as to where he was. He just lied and said he was there at my location. The customer service rep. Didn't help either she basically went back and forth like I was lying.A complete waste speaking with her. I wouldn't recommend this company especially if you are having an emergency!!! I needed a key reprogrammed for my car, I called around multiple places who all said they needed to order parts. I went with pop a lock because they said they could do it the next day. The appointment rolls around the next day and I received a call 15 minutes after they were scheduled to arrive that they don't have the parts. I wasted 24 hours waiting for them, when they never had the parts. I could have been using that time to get the parts ordered. So now I'm more days with out a car. They need to take the 5 minutes to look at the job being scheduled and if they can actually perform the work prior to booking the appointment, and when I complained to the supervisor, she said they don't do that. Leaving my family and small child out in the cold with no way to stay warm because they had a meeting they "forgot about". I locked myself out of the house last night. I have called Papa lock before and they have provided excellent service, but the service was so horrible that I made them go away first of all he did not work on the door and then he wanted to write a receipt and bill me and for me to sign it. I told him that I would not do it. The second problem is is that he did not speak any English. The only way that he could communicate with me was dictating English in on his cell phone. The other thing that pop a lock did which really infuriated me is that they told me it would cost $79 but they didn't mention the $37 service fee I've use pop a lock for many years when I started using them it was only $50 for the service now it's 113 because of the service fee. They did not tell me about the service fee on the phone very deceitful marketing and I will never use them again. read more

We woke up the other day and had a flat on our truck. Lovely. For whatever reason, we don't have a jack for the truck and the one from our car won't work with the truck. I'm going to have to ask my husband why in the world we don't have a jack and we're going to have to remedy that. Anyway.... so I got on the phone with our roadside assistance company to have someone come out and put the spare on so we could go get a new one. It was Pop-A-Lock they sent our way. I immediately got a text after hanging up with our roadside assistance company giving me Pop-A-Locks information and also informing me that they would arrive within 40 minutes. Within 5 minutes, we got a phone call from the guy who was coming to let us know he may be a little longer than 40 minutes because he was finishing up somewhere else, but that he would be to us asap. It took him 50 minutes to get to us. Not that bad... only 10 minutes off from the estimated time and I'm not removing a star because he had the courtesy to call us promptly to let us know he may be slightly late. He was very courteous and had our tire changed within about 10 minutes. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again in the future. I'll even go as far as to make a request for our roadside assistance to send Pop-A-Lock back out to us again if we find ourselves in need. read more

My tire light had been on for over a week, and of course I ignored it! Last night I got out of my car and I could hear the air coming out of my tire. I checked the PSI and it was at 10 (supposed to be 34). I was upset Bc I didn't know how I would get to work the next morning! I looked at all of my options and remembered my car had a warranty that included roadside assistance!! I called them and they sent PAL! He got to me in about 30 minutes and put my spare on in about 5! He was very friendly and tried to make and keep conversation as he worked. I was so pleased with how fast he got to me, considering it was 830 pm, and how fast and efficient he worked. excellent service and quality!! In a genius move, I locked both my and my husband's keys in a small locker at our gym before setting the combination. It was Sunday afternoon past staffed hours and no one would be at the club until 6 a.m. Monday, and our gym doesn't provide any kind of an after-hours contact (thanks, Bailey's :/). We called Pop-a-lock for a customer on Monday, September 2. We were quoted 30 minutes, and $59.75. I told them exactly what type of car the customer had, and where it was located. An HOUR AN A HALF later, I noticed the customer was still in the parking lot. I walked over and asked if they had not shown up yet. He said that he had called them about 15 minutes ago, was told that they had come out there but left because they couldn't find his car, and that they would be there in 10 minutes. I called and was told they were still within 3 minutes of their ETA... When the locksmith finally showed up (15 minutes AFTER my last phone call), he charged me $66.95. Basically, don't use Pop-A-Lock if you are in a hurry, and don't believe the quote you are given. We won't be calling them anymore. read more

i called pop a lock for my business. they quoted me 45 minutes to arrive. They arrived quickly and knocked out the lock in a few minutes. The problem was with the service. My company is a large corporation, and we use pop a lock hundreds of times a week for our fleet vehicles (nationwide, not locally). This was an interior door, not a car, and they hassled me because i could not give them information about the vehicle. They were not polite on the phone, going so far as to be rude at some points. I needed a replacement truck key cut and programmed so I called 3 locksmiths and Pop A Lock. Pop A Lock had their tech guy contact me who texted me. "Matt" gave me a quote, that to "cut and program" my key would be $139. When I asked if he could provide the key he said the cost would be $163. I decided to look around. I called 3 other locksmiths who all quoted me $164, $165 and $175, all of which knew the make, model of my vehicle and that my key fob had 3 buttons on it. I decided to choose Pop A Lock because they could come to my residence. When i contacted the guy again, I asked to reconfirm the price he had gave me and texted him a picture of our text conversation. He adds to the quote by saying: (if they provide the key) it would be $163 "or $263 for the one with the buttons". Wow, all of a sudden, they need an extra $100 to provide, cut and program the key. This is a dishonest quote and an attempt to get more money at the last minute. I called one of the locksmith's that had previously quoted me and I'm having my key made tomorrow for $175.00. I a very disappointed with this locations service, I was quoted a price then after the customer service rep got upset they raised the price. I was also hung up on after they got frustrated! This morning at 5:30am I went to my car to head to the gym and noticed I had a very flat tire. After contacting Geico, i was assured that a technician would be out in an hour to change my tire. 20 minutes later, I received a call from the technician stating that he was 5 minutes away. As a flat tire is not a huge deal, it is a huge inconvenience and can throw off a person's regular morning routine. Not only did the technician get to my location quickly, he put my spare tire on within a few minutes. She let me know as there was a child in the house it would be faster than normal service and free of charge (I would have paid any amount to get the door open and make sure my child was safe). The gentleman called me to verify I did in fact have a spare tire and he didn't need to bring one and he got to me (on the fourth floor of a parking garage) in 15 minutes, usaa anticipated 30 minutes. He knew exactly what he was doing, was incredibly professional and was very respectful of my car and put everything back exactly the way he found it. I was in a panic. Had locked my keys in car-or so I thought - called insurance company- they called a lock company that said 90 minutes out. I can't do that! Florida sun and senior citizen do not mix well. Asked for Pop-A-Lock by name since I had used them long ago and my insurance company said yes they were on the approved vendor list. I was not disappointed. Actually the locksmith who quoted 40 minutes arrived in less than 25 minutes. By then I got my car door open only to find no keys - they were actually locked inside my house. So we switched focus onto getting into my home. I had 2 important hard-to-get appointments that day (IRS and SS). The Pop-A-Lock tech (Marley) had a very challenging time getting my house locks open but he didn't give up. It was funny to watch him so determined to beat the door lock monster.
