The managers help plan events but hosts may DIY the meetinghouse decor as early as the night before! I attended a summer wedding here. Staff provided coordinating and bartenders but every other vendor was hired by the bride and groom. They gave us space to prep and store appetizers, which was clutch. Josiah's Meetinghouse is along a major route, which makes it easy to find but adds traffic sounds to ceremonies outside. Cranking the music helped our party drown it out. As long as they're not busy, they're pretty generous with time.

Fourth; Josiah's Management has made a decision that it's a good idea to shoehorn advertising into every opportunity on the Dance Floor. Neon Lights continuously flash their logo across the wedding guests. The epitome of tackiness and tastelessness. I've never seen anything like it. I'm not sure if it shows up in photos but; it sure was an eyesore in person. Overall, an enjoyable night, as Weddings usually are but; I sure wouldn't recommend Josiah's Meetinghouse. Especially for an evening affair with mixed age attendees.

What a beautiful wedding weekend!…read more Thank you for letting us host our wedding here this summer! We were so lucky with the weather, keeping cool with just a short shower just before the ceremony. Everything was so green, the lake crystal clear for our wedding photos, and oh the food! The barn is a beautiful venue, with naturally colored beams and stained glass windows hanging over our party. We draped the banisters and beams with vines and placed battery pillar candles along the walls. Gail and Pecco had beautiful lighted stars already hanging from the top beams. It was magical all the way up to the fireworks at the end of the night, thanks again to another talented resident of Andover (just ask Pecco). The gardens and field were the perfect places to hold our rehearsal dinner in the tent and setup the ceremony by the apple trees. They have a natural wood/vine arbor installed which we decorated with fresh sun flowers and greenery from the Blossom Shop (also amazing!). I can actually share what it looked like, since weddingwire used our setup for their virtual tour: weddingwire.com/biz/the-... Aside from the venue being pristine, Chef Brian MacKenzie (brianmackenziecatering.c...) and AJ (Brothers House of Smoke) put on a culinary show for three days through the weekend. Everyone said this was the best wedding food ever, which was corrected to simply: the best food ever. We had smoked brisket and barbecue the first night, to gazpacho and filet the next, ending with a beautiful brunch spread. From day 1 of working with Kristen, I have been thinking about how I could write a review that adequately encapsulates the quality of her services. I am in awe of the mix of characteristics she brings to the table - she is organized, logistical, and detail-oriented (like a project manager), creative and big-picture oriented (like a party planner), patient, supportive, and comforting (like a friend), and able to navigate conflict and manage expectations (like a family therapist haha). People kept asking me, "How are you doing? Are you getting any sleep??" and I consistently responded with, "I'm actually doing fine, thanks to Kristen. If she tells me to stress about something, I will - but until then, I am trusting the process and I know it will all get done." She left no stone unturned and was able to accommodate additions and changes whenever they came up. She even made some of my wild ideas comes to fruition without batting an eye (morning-of bouquet making, catered Chipotle, and a private last dance just to name a few)! Kristen navigated challenges with a few vendors, both advocating in our best interest while also maintaining professional and positive relationships. I could not have pictured this day without Kristen. I was able to enjoy it even more because it had been an enjoyable process throughout so there was no sense of resentment or stress associated with it. We had a last second hiccup with some rain that was unanticipated and she immediately pivoted into an indoor ceremony. Throughout the evening I did not have a single moment of stress or doubt, as both my wife and I knew that the event was in capable hands. Packout and cleaning was incredible, both her and our caterer worked to have the reception area spotless! Both my wife and I absolutely believe that Kristen was the key to a stress free and joyful wedding!
