These people ruined my sister's wedding. My sister spent a long time carefully selecting her flowers. The day of the wedding, however, these people brought completely different flowers than the one my sister had selected. Additionally, the flowers they brought were drab, lifeless, and wilted. Take a look at the attached pictures and judge for yourself. Finally, they failed to set everything up on time despite having advance notice, so we had to delay the entire wedding for around 45 minutes to an hour for them to finish setting up. If you want your wedding ruined, pick these guys. If you want your wedding to go well, pick someone else. Afterward, they were completely unrepentant and unapologetic about it. When my mom left a negative review, they threatened legal action if she didn't take it down. Well, I'm not scared of their threats. If you guys want to sue me, reach out and I'll give you my address so you can effect service of process. I would *love* to litigate the accuracy of this. EDIT: the owner has responded claiming that this review is not true, but the pictures speak for themselves. She is lying. Imagine what else she is lying about. The owner doesn't even know me - we've never interacted and she's never heard my name. Message me if you would like more information. Do yourself a favor - read through her reviews. Many of them are positive, but quite a few are negative - I'm not the only one saying this. Finally, look how often she calls people liars, unstable, immoral, etc. when they complain about her. Ask yourself this: do you want to be the one she's one day calling an unstable, immoral liar on here after she screws up your own wedding? This is how she talks about the people who complain when she drops the ball and ruins a wedding. Maybe one day it'll be how she talks about you. Rachel, if you're reading this: if I'm really slandering you, then sue me. I will give you my address so you can file the lawsuit and serve me with process. But you're not going to do that, because you don't actually want these allegations adjudicated in court, because you know that they're true and you would lose. read more

Working with her was seamless, especially when we changed our minds on center pieces and color pallets a few months before the wedding. Meeting with Rachel and Dana was very informative. BFE really does a great job being transparent with all their projects, even down to listing the number of stems in each of their bouquets. They really aim to keep the price down and want the client to have a say in every aspect of the wedding flower project. I'd say it's most advantageous to you if you come with a good idea of what you want. While BFE has a three-person design team (based in Long Island), it seemed like I needed to put in a bit of the work upfront. This goes along with their valuing the client's needs down to every specific detail, but for someone like me, who's really new to the "flower scene," I wanted a little more guidance and more sparks of ideas from them about what would work in my venue, with my dress, etc. Another way they keep their prices down is that the client pays for the vases, extra accessories, etc. They are upfront about this, as well. I guess this set up could be a hassle if you don't want to have them in your posession, though BFE will pick up the supplies afterwards for you. They work explicitly with weddings, which is a nice, focused touch. read more

Bride and Blossom are coming through for me on a VERY tight timeline. I'm probably lucky I'm getting married on a Sunday, because I needed a florist so quickly. Rachel was incredibly responsive and informative. I was able to afford flowers I didn't think were possible because her markups aren't insane, like most florists! We just signed the contracts and I can't wait to see what she comes up with! I haven't had the wedding yet, and will update this review next month after it happens, but I couldn't imagine finding someone like her on such short notice! UPDATE: more lies from Rachel. I never "fired" my first florist. I had a meeting with another florist as it is common to interview a few before choosing one. Also, it is a lie that I spoke with Eliana after the wedding. Beware of business owners who are incapable of admitting fault. It is only now, months after my wedding that I feel ready to write this review. This sleazy con artist did not provide many of the items we paid for, and others were left either incomplete, or wilting. We paid for a floral arch around the chuppah, which I told Rachel many times was the most important thing, as I have always dreamed of having a floral arch at my wedding and they lazily only covered the top, and left it looking haphazard. We paid for corsages for our mothers, and they were never given to them. Our bridesmaids bouquets were falling apart and browning. Groomsmen boutonnieres were not given to us until after photos had been taken and were also limp and falling apart.While in her follow up response to my mother's review before, Rachel says that I told her I was happy with our centerpieces, that is a blatant lie. I specifically mentioned to her on the phone that guests had wilting petals falling onto their plates during dinner. Another thing Rachel claims is that the nature of the flowers were very delicate. She is a professional florist and I took all of her recommendations to a T. She did not once mention that this would be a risk with the flowers she had selected for me. She also tried to claim that my flowers had wilted because it was a hot day. The day was unseasonably cool- look up the weather for a Brooklyn NY on August 6,2017. Weather reports do not lie. Rachel does. (Even if it had been hot, summer is wedding season- shouldn't a professional florist know how to keep flowers alive for summer weddings?) It's not just the failure to render services paid for, but what a nasty and downright mean person Rachel is. You can tell from her response below, where she is unprofessionally rude that she will say whatever she can to hide the truth. She constantly lies and brings up things that are totally irrelevant. (Including the fact that she was the second florist I visited. Most people speak with many vendors before choosing one- It is very bizarre Rachel would try to discredit me for doing this). The young woman that Rachel sent in her place to my wedding was sweet, but totally unprepared for this big of a job. While she profusely apologized for all of the wilting flowers, she had no idea what to do. When she told me that there was "no way" Rachel would speak to me, she called Elianna, who also refused to speak with me, but told the girl that I had demanded out of season flowers. This is a downright lie - I went with every single recommendation Rachel gave me, and Rachel later admit to me that she knew that was the case. Days after the wedding, I had still not been contacted by Rachel, which is very unprofessional for any business owner who has been left with an unhappy client. When I first called, I was initially hung up on. After leaving a voicemail saying that I would keep calling until someone picked up, Rachel picked up after many attempts (in her response she says 32- that wouldn't surprise me) and the first thing she did was scream at me that I was a psycho. Trust me, I REALLY wish I did not need to call 32 times to be answered - that speaks way more about how Rachel runs her business and hides from her clients the minute the check is cashed than it does about me. Initially, out of principle, we requested a refund. Our family lawyer urged us to go through with a small court claim and was confident that given all of the photo evidence and testimony we had, it would be a slam dunk. On my wedding day, I married the love of my life. All of my other vendors were AMAZING. I did not want to spend any more time of my life recounting the one negative part of the day. My parents are very wealthy. My husband is very wealthy. I do very well for myself as well. The money means NOTHING to me or my family. As soon as it became clear that Rachel would be using our request for a principled refund to discredit us, we totally backed off. At this point, we do not want any money from Rachel. She can keep the money she saved from services not rendered. I am only writing this review because I realize that other brides are probably starting to select their vendors for spring and summer weddings and I want to help other women avoid the horrible experience I had. Rachel lies and denies to her heart out to make us seem like lying money grabbers. As I've said, we do not want or need any money. This amount of money is literally nothing to us. What reason would I have to be leaving this review of the vendor who I had initially been the most excited about? Like a lot of brides, my wedding was my everything. I wanted things to be as close to perfect as possible and floral design was a huge part of that perfection. To make a long story short, I ended up letting my original contracted florist go about 5 wks before my wedding. It was an overwhelming decision but it had to be done for various reasons. I instantly went on the hunt and found Bride and Blossom. A lot of florists wouldn't be able to take on a new client so close to their wedding date, but Rachel jumped in without hesitation (which was so comforting). I can be honest and say I am persnickety with high-end taste in flowers and Rachel welcomed that. I came to her with visuals and a budget and she 100% delivered. Bride and Blossom is one of the few florists who specialize in weddings and they have the most expertise and reliability when it comes to wedding flowers. Rachel and Elianna went above and beyond to deliver beautiful flowers for my wedding: They first met with me in person and spent a lot of time after putting together initial proposal making sure they accommodate all of my multiple requests. Before I picked Bride and Blossom I interviewed 4 different florists and I decided to go with Bride and Blossom as they were the most attentive, had great attitude, and seemed the most reliable. Bride and Blossom itemize the total cost to account for every flower and they do have very reasonable prices per flower while many other florists have much higher mark ups especially when they hear wedding flowers. I was very specific about the flowers I wanted and Rachel and Elianna delivered exactly what I wanted in a beautiful presentation: I received modern elegant flowers in multiple shades of purple. My bridal bouquet looked like a piece of jewelry. The flowers not only looked gorgeous but filled the wedding reception room with a beautiful scent of roses and orchids. Rachel referred me to her sister, Elisabeth, at ES Blooms to do my floral arrangements. While I cannot speak directly to the Bride & Blossom work, I was extremely disappointed by the work done by her sister's staff. Elisabeth did not (maybe was not able to) oversee the work being done and there was no quality control or consistency. Bud vases came without flowers and the overall work was very haphazard. If Rachel tries to refer you to her sister's company, ES Blooms, you should be very specific about your expectations and get in contract that Elisabeth will deliver the arrangements in person. read more

This vendor is amazing. Always responsive which I need. Great taste. Always honest in how I should spend my money. I had a space that looked very much like a meeting room for my wedding but had nice views. With draping, they transformed the space and it was absolutely beautiful. I loved the beautiful tablescape we had with a long table, tapered candles on candelabras, mirror runner and white flowers in mercury vases. After firing my other florist at the last minute due to an unfortunate situation, Bride & Blossom swooped in 2 weeks before my date and turned an unfortunate situation into something truly beautiful. They were friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and buttoned up about every detail. The bouquets and centerpieces were exactly what I had imagined and were in perfect alignment with the vision I had presented to Rachel during our first meeting! They were beautiful and - compared to other florists - a fantastic value given the size of our wedding. We were able to maintain our flower budget and still have exactly what we wanted, a definite win-win! Rachel and her team were very responsive and always willing to answer questions and re-confirm those little details (where, when, how, etc) that brides start to worry about as the wedding date gets near. In addition, in the days leading up to our wedding, the postal service literally lost the check with our final payment. Fiasco. You don't get what you are promised. Bride & Blossom messed up our Chuppah and 13 table centerpiece wedding flowers. I never received any sketches or mock ups as promised and I still have in my possession the emails of me asking for them that I copied for the BBB to get my money back for the square shaped Chuppah that was supposed to be an arched shape. She held an inspiration board meeting and we chose everything we wanted from three pictures to finalize. The work she featured on Pinterest was not her own work but inspirations that ended up looking nothing like we received. We spent over $10,000 in flowers and did not feel like my husband and I received our moneys worth nor what we had asked for. My husband was the first one to see the chuppah as he went down the isle and he said he new that was not what we had ordered. Rachel, the president and CEO of the company, called us exactly one day prior to notify us our flowers that came in for centerpieces were not bloomed so she left a lot of what we paid for out and replaced it with branches. - Without a discount. Since she called the day before notifying me about the mishap, I let her slide on the centerpieces but I requested full money back on chuppah and she refused. The price was just under $2000 for the chuppah so I turned the company into the Better Business Bureau along with proof of emails back and forth. Brooklyn is far cheaper than Manhattan prices and quite frankly, I've seen many flower companies do a better job at other weddings. It was a good wedding regardless, but the flowers were disappointing. The only thing I loved that Bride and Blossom did was our flower petals that were on the ground for the isle and that cost us $800. read more

This listing is kind of old because they are located in Long Island City and changed their name to bride and blossom. We worked with Rachel for our recent wedding. Everything came out beautiful and was reasonably priced. Being a novice to choosing flowers, I was kind of surprised that most florists basically just ask you to send them images of bouquets that you like instead of suggesting arrangements or really helping to guide you. BFE did this as well, but I guess its pretty standard. However, once I did that, they were able to come up with a beautiful interpretation of what I was looking for. I was a bit nervous because I was looking for a more "natural/organic" feel than is featured on their website but Rachel was able to figure out what we wanted. Our chuppa was made out of natural tree branches intertwined with flowers - gorgeous! Everything else -bouquets, boutineers, centerpieces came out very nice. The only draw back is that they charge you to see a centerpiece mock up with I thought should have been included. Overall, we were very happy with the service! read more

FRAUDSTERS! DON'T USE THEM UNLESS YOU WANT TO RUIN YOUR WEDDING AND CRY ON YOUR WEDDING DAY! I am the mother of the bride (she is on her honeymoon now). We arrived at venue on wedding day and thought the arrangements were left over from a wedding from the prior week. Flowers were limp, brown-edged, with petals falling out, and the bouquets had gray and beige limp, dying roses, not at all the bright colors chosen and looking suitable for a funeral. Several of the items ordered were simply never delivered. When I asked to speak with Rachel or Eliana (Rachel had promised that one of them always goes to each event), I was told they were not coming. The young lady from their company was sympathetic and acknowledged that the flowers were in bad shape. She told me she would contact Rachel and have her call me, and see if she could get new flowers 3 hours before ceremony. When I didn't hear after an hour, I called and left a vm and emailed Rachel with "Emergency" in the subject bar. No response. We spent the next hours trying to work with their person to try to rework the centerpieces and reach Rachel. Hair and makeup were cut short, and due to the chaos this created, the photographer did not even have time to take portraits of my daughter. The ceremony which was scheduled for 6 was delayed by 45 minutes, and when my daughter started to walk down the aisle she saw that the canopy was not at all what we contracted and paid for. It was supposed to be covered with flowers both on top and on both legs and be in an arc shape. Instead, there were only flowers on the top, with raw wooden legs with no flowers at all. Later I was told by my guests that they only started constructing the canopy at 6 PM when all my guests were sitting there - very unprofessional. It was only because the problems they caused delayed the wedding, or there would have been no canopy at all. All of this of course created anguish and unhappiness for my daughter on what should have been a wonderful day. We never heard from Rachel or Eliana by the time the wedding started, and the next morning I saw that Rachel had sent me an email at 9:38 PM, well after anything could be done. No one ever called the next day to apologize or inquire about the situation, and when my daughter called her two days later, she hung up on her upon hearing her voice, and only picked up the phone after my daughter told her she was going to keep calling until she picked up. An honest, legitimate businessperson does not need to hide from their customers. When she finally picked up, instead of apologizing, she immediately started screaming, calling my daughter names and threatening her. When I sent an email of complaint, she called me, made a thousand lame excuses, denied the problems, screamed at me and called me names also. She told me the wedding planner had told her everything was fine. When I later emailed the planner, she told me that what Rachel said was a complete lie. We came to them in part because everything was specified in the contract down to the stem. This did not prevent Bride & Blossom from completely ignoring what was contracted and paid for in advance, supplying dead flowers, flowers different than what was agreed, and simply not supplying many items we contracted and paid for, including the unfinished canopy. We paid them $12,000 in advance, and once the check was deposited they felt no obligation to fulfill their contract or even communicate with us. Cruel and sleazy! Buyers beware! read more

They were extremely helpful, great listeners, detail-oriented, and very responsive with creative ideas and beautiful design concepts. They were also very accommodating every time I had an edit or new idea leading up to the big day. My initial perception of Bride & Blossom was more than accurate. When the wedding day finally arrived, they were on-site bright and early to deliver gorgeous wedding party arrangements and to set up the elaborate ceremony and reception displays well before guests arrived. Their professionalism and work ethic helped make our day not only relaxing (for us) but super special. I worked as the wedding planner for a wedding at the Bowery Hotel in NYC. I had met with a few florists before meeting with Bride and Blossom and I knew immediately that we were going to work with them. They were so nice and knowledgeable and easy to work with. I explained to them the vision for the wedding and they completely understood what I was talking about. They were able to down to the smallest detail understand exactly what the Bride wanted her day to look like. The process to order the flowers was so easy and went so smoothly. The week before we put in the final order they were so accommodating to our changing needs with table counts etc and sent back revisions of the proposal exactly as we asked. The day of installation went really fast and was done perfectly. Brooke came for the delivery and was such a pleasure to chat with throughout the morning and so easy to work with to set everything up. We were able to work around each other effortlessly and got everything done with time to spare. The florals are 100% what made the space so special. They came out beautifully.
