Pretty good!! 3.75 My bestie hired these guys as an extra for her wedding dessert bar. The gelato was solid. Don't get me wrong, I've had creamier gelato. But considering how hard it must be to transport and keep six different flavors of gelato cold for a big event. Well, I think they did a super job. Pop up supplied an assortment of six gelatos: S'mores, cookies and cream, mango, mixed berries, tiramisu and pistachio. Pop up allows two flavors per cup. The hubby and I tried them all. The pistachio and mango were by far the creamiest and most delicious of the bunch. I would recommend those. The cookies and cream didn't have much flavor and wasn't as sweet as it should be. If you're considering adding Pop up gelato to your event, I would recommend them. These guys were set up, prepared, and ready to serve on time. The gelato was a sweet touch and a definite highlight!

    Our wedding gelato personalized flavors

Pop Up Gelato is an amazing & reliable company (not to mention delicious ) that helped make my daughters wedding day special ! That added touch of gelato and a personalized menu was the hit of the event !!!!! So kind and professional we couldn't have asked for a better company and service ! Thank you all so very much !!!!!

Thanks guys! Your gelato was on point!

From a random appearance on the Facebook newsfeed to one of the most raved caterers in our wedding reception. Having gelato as a wedding dessert stand is definitely something different from the usual desserts. But what sets them apart from others is they are not locked in to the flavors that are shown on their website. They are always experimenting and trying out new flavors. In fact, 3 out of the 6 flavors we ended up serving were not on their menu! We had avocado, Vietnamese coffee, and manila mango! If I were to be so bold, they even offered durian! These worked well with our mostly Asian guests' palettes. We love their passion for flavors. And speaking of flavors, when I went in for a taste test, they asked me what I would want to try. I chose 8 flavors. When I came in for the tasting, OMG, I was greeted with probably 15 different flavors! So you NEED to bring a second person with you to taste all those flavors! Alice, who I emailed back and forth was on top of the communications. Marvin, the CEO who was with me during the tasting is definitely passionate about his product. Love these guys. Support your small local businesses! They are definitely worth it!

Seriously the best! I contacted Pop-Up Gelato about 3 weeks prior to my wedding and they were absolutely wonderful to deal with. They even invited me to a tasting - which I could not attend, but I appreciate the customer service and the option to try their flavors before making any decision. My guests could not stop talking about what a great idea the gelato bar was and how yummy all the flavors were. From what I've heard the server was super friendly and everyone got to try all the flavors they wanted. If you want to WOW your guests and leave their tummies smiling... Pop-Up Gelato is the way to go!

The decor and arrangements were good too but I would say they might look better indoors than outdoor. They had a lot of decor options to choose from. The only con I had was with the menu; it is not descriptive enough to understand the ingredients and meat. Since the names of the dishes are also very traditional, you are left guessing at what they are. I would say confirm what the dishes are/ ingredients to make sure they cater to your taste.

At 1:45 PM on the day of the event, I received a message that the food had just been sent by Uber. Concerned, I reached out for confirmation but received no response for 30 minutes. The food ultimately arrived about an hour late. When I later discussed the situation with the owner, I had hoped for understanding and a simple acknowledgment of the mistake. Instead, I was met with repeated excuses and defensiveness. Despite the clear communication leading up to the event, there was no apology and no acceptance of responsibility for the late delivery. The food itself was good. However, what left the most negative impression was not the delay itself, but the complete lack of accountability afterward. Delays happen, but customers deserve honest communication and ownership when things go wrong. Unfortunately, because of the way this situation was handled, I cannot recommend this business to others and will not be using their services again.

While I was unfamiliar with ordering food for a large number of people, Priscilla helped recommend the amount of food for the requirements, "I don't want to run out of food during the event" and "we love desserts". Another side note: I was catering snacks rather than a meal. I ended up ordering - tri-tip - mashed potatoes - roasted veggies - assorted bread - lemon garlic salmon - veggie garlic pasta - Greek salad - dinner rolls - fresh fruit display - fresh fruit tarts - petit fours - gluten free mini cupcakes: red velvet, chocolate, vanilla, lemon I appreciate that Priscilla suggested to halve the salmon fillets to have double the number of salmon pieces for guests to have snack portions rather than meal portions. Although mini cupcakes were not listed on her menu, she was able to provide them. Also, you can ask her about gluten free desserts. You can have more than just macarons. Compliments I received... "Did you make the food? The salmon and tri-tip were so juicy." "This is better than most wedding food." 2 people inquired who I used to cater for the event. I received general praise that the food was good. I received explicit praise that the petit fours and fruit tarts were good. The mashed potatoes were thick but good. Passion for catering's setup and tear down went smoothly. It was maybe 20-30 minutes of setup and 10 minutes of tear down. I appreciate that they were able to provide decor for the food tables. They also provided some takeout containers for us to take leftover food. 10/10 would cater from them again.

This business is located across the street from the union city bart station. There's a parking lot on site and street parking in front but not too much. Inside is clean and modern decor with a traditional mexican vibe, if that's possible. Next to the counter is a salsa bar with other forget me nots such as onions, jalapeños, radishes etc. I ordered a few tacos to get a feel for their strengths and weaknesses in their meats. If you know me, you know my philosophy on taquerias and taco trucks. You cant judge off of one item because you might miss out on their main focused dish. Anyway, I got a steak, al pastor, Chile verde and the 2 different shrimp variant tacos. All of them checked out, not a single weakness on the menu. The salsa was on the more bland side. If they bring some more heat or flavor, this place could be unstoppable. Especially for the area, because I haven't really found a spot I could put my name next to. All in all, this is an authentic mexican joint that can be enjoyed by all walks of life. The service was great, as well.. the staff was friendly and patient, answering all of our questions. I definitely recommend this place

I…read morelove teriyaki in general and usually order it at Japanese restaurants, so I have a certain flavor and look I expect, especially when it comes to the chicken. I remembered they have a happy hour deal from 2 PM to 5 PM for $9.95, which is a really good value. When I went in, there were a lot of employees working, but it took a while for someone to acknowledge me even though I was the only customer. Some were wiping tables, others were in the kitchen, and a few looked at me, but no one said hello or even that someone would be right with me. That kind of acknowledgment would have gone a long way. I eventually realized they wanted customers to order through the touchscreen kiosks. Even so, it would have been nice if someone had said something instead of leaving me to figure it out on my own. I ordered a spicy teriyaki bowl. There is no note section on the screen, so after placing my order I asked if they could make my chicken extra crispy or charred. Based on Yelp photos, the chicken usually does not have much char, which I prefer for both flavor and appearance. When my food was ready, the woman who handed it to me was the only person who was genuinely nice. The napkins were out and she noticed and immediately offered to grab some for me, which I appreciated. When I got home and opened my bowl, the chicken still was not as charred as I had requested. There were only a few light grill marks. The biggest disappointment was the sauce. Even though they say it is made in house, it was missing something and lacked that umami depth. Honestly, it was one of the worst teriyaki sauces I have had. The rice and steamed vegetables were fine, but the chicken and sauce are the main focus of a teriyaki bowl, and that is where this really fell short. If you put a bowl from Teriyaki City Grill next to one from Teriyaki Madness, just by looks alone, Teriyaki Madness is much more appetizing. Because of the service and the food, I do not think I will be coming here again.
