The ladies were nice but not super gentle. Their prices on the website have not updated for a while I'm guessing. I came in for a fill in and ended up paying for a new set because of a broken nail, which is ok I understand but when I went to pay I was in shock that I was paying $20 more than expected. My nails do look decent though so I'm happy with them. read more

This is one of my favorite nail places in Plainfield. It is clean and the staff are very professional. When you checkin your awarded points based on the services you chose. I have received discounts via text from them. On your birthday you'll also receive a coupon which is a nice thank you. They take walk ins but I recommend making an appointment so you don't have to wait. They also offer waxing services. I have not tried. They offer every service for nails regular, gel, dip and acrylic. read more

Tears of joy or tears from the $$? It's been a week and I'm still not sure. Everyone raves about this place, and I can see why. It seems that Lynn is definitely the go to for nail art, but the guy working on my nails did an excellent job prepping and filing, making sure to see if everything was up to par along the way. Nail art is the thing to do this summer, and as someone whose devoted to dip powder, acrylic has been a change up. I finally booked here because of the pictures I've seen online, and I really can't complain about how my nails look at all! By FAR the best nail art I've gotten done and have even seen in person on other people comes from this place! I will say it was $70 at the end ($50 for a full set and $20 for "complex" nail art) and I definitely was cringing. Overall, might not come here again UNLESS for the best nail art on a very special occasion ONLY because of the price. If you can afford this place regularly, this place is definitely not to be missed! read more

After several failed attempts at different salons in the area, Pop-Up nails is the ONLY salon that I go to now for my hands and feet. They are the only place that I have been to where my acrylic nails aren't broken after a couple days. For pedicures, the polish stays on for a good amount of time. They take their time to do a good job and it shows! Pics are from my most recent full set done yesterday, and saying I'm obsessed is an understatement! I have only been here 2 times - the first, was exceptional. I got a full set & the nail technician was literally the BEST. He was friendly, understanding -- I even messed up a nail while it was drying and he was like, no worries! I'll fix it. He was exceptional, and my nails looked fabulous! They looked really natural and just perfect. I went back, hoping to get the same technician, but I got someone else. He didn't do as good of a job, and cut my nails way too short. Plus I got dip powder and the coating isn't totally smooth on my thumbs - it's kind of bumpy. But other than that, they are always very friendly & the place seems clean & they're not as expensive as some places. I'd be willing to try it again! read more

I just moved here from Texas and picked this location based on the reviews. When I arrived they had a few customers waiting since a couple of employees were in their way in, no biggie I wasn't in a hurry! I told the lady I needed dip nails and to soak off my gel on my toes. I also mentioned my toes were very thin so NO drills! My guy gets there and I'm already soaking my dip powder off my nails so he takes me to the pedicure station and asks if this was gel on my toes. I said yes and please NO drills! So what does he do? He drills off ALL the gel and didn't even soak them and I was charged a soak off fee. Then he sits me back at the nail station and starts drilling off the dip that is left on my nails and eventually gets tired of waiting and drills off the remaining dip/tip along with my natural nail. I had them grown out quite a bit and would have looked pretty had he not drilled it all off. He kept bending my nails after me telling him to stop as it was uncomfortable. Then I had to go buy a nail file to shape what nails I had left as they looked like crap and had dents in the new dip that was not bugged out. I paid $60 and it most certainly was not worth a dime of what I spent! Oh! Might I also mention it smells of mildew in there so badly. I'm new to the area and am in search of a go-to nail salon. After reading reviews, I decided to try Pop-up nails and spa. I invited a friend to join me and made an appointment for 2 pm. Upon arriving we were greeted and asked to pick out our nail colors for our gel manicure. Albeit expected, the salon smelled strongly of polish etc. It did get better once we were taken to our chairs. My friends manicure began right away. After about fifteen minutes of me waiting beside her at my own table, I asked the young lady working there if I would be helped now or if I was going to get my manicure after my friends was done, as it seemed that's what was happening. She said I would get mine done after hers since they had a lot of walk ins. I responded that I made appointments for both of us to get them done at the same time. If I had known that wouldn't be possible I wouldn't have made the appointments. She said sorry and walked away. At 230 a gentleman asked me to come to his booth and he began on my manicure. He did a fairly good job but it was very quick and rushed and I was finished shortly after my friends. I appreciate them not making my wait any longer but it was so rushed that I didn't get lotion or a hand massage (like my friend) and my thumb is already bubbled at the base of my cuticle on day two. I've been getting my nails done for the past three years and i've never left without having at least one issue with my nails, BUT today, i took a chance and booked an appointment with Pop-up nails and i'm so glad i did!! This has always been my favorite place to go for manicure and pedicures but the past few time we have gotten pedicures they seem so rushed to get the next person in and have clipped my toe with the clippers 2 times now there! They are very concerned about just getting the next person in and not what they are doing in front of them. Service has gone way down since they first opened. Been loyal to this business for over a year. However, I've only gotten good quality services from them maybe a few times. It's my fault for continuing to go back. However, two of the nail techs here are not gentle. They will get to close to the nail bed or bend my fingers and hands to the point it hurts or is uncomfortable. They have swapped the color I wanted for another color. They have filed my nails to a totally different shape than I wanted. One specific nail tech is constantly on their phone. They tell me to relax and I do my best to but it's hard when they make me uncomfortable. They do not talk to you unless it's telling you to "relax". I find it to be a very unfriendly and unwelcoming environment. It's hard to tip them if I'm not satisfied but I put myself in THEIR shoes and tip out of courtesy. Unfortunately, I will choose to take my business elsewhere. I hope that Pop-Up Nails learns how to treat their clients with the same care and respect that their clients do for them. read more

Ive never had to wait more than 5 minutes as soon as i walk in im helped out. I moved to the Indianapolis area just a little over a year ago and tried several nail salons. Pop-Up Nails and Spa is by far the best. T has done my nails each time and I always leave very happy. I have NOT had a bad experience there as yet. However, I do understand there may be times when I may receive not the best as they tend to stay busy and have lots of walk-ins. Although I do schedule an appointment each time, I also understand how overwhelming it can be with a crowded room waiting to be waited on. We can't be perfect every time, as for me I have not had a bad experience. I've always been treated very well and I practice patience when I'm there. I truly believe if I was unhappy with my service they would gladly make it up to me, and that is what matters most to me. read more

Today was my first time to visit pop-up nails. I found the salon to be very dirty with polish and colors on every piece of equipment. The table tops for manicures were dirty and dusty looking. I could see where something liquid had run down the wall and was dried. The lighting equipment for the work station was held together with a piece of tape on the end. There was lint on the table, on the floor and on most pieces of equipment that I could see. When I sat down, my nail tech took a cuticle nipper out of a drawer. She wiped it off briefly and began using it on me. I'm sure this wasn't fresh out of a sterilizer. Everything used for me had been used on the previous customers- without cleaning in between- then went back in the drawer. Shortly after the manicure began, the tech took out her cell phone and turned on a station with a foreign program. She watched it the entire time I was there. It must have been a comedy because she laughed occasionally. It cost $39.00 for a simple gel polish which I think is high. I won't be back. read more

No thanks on waxing my eyebrows!! She waxed, then plucked (typical) but during the plucking, she plucked some skin off my eyelid. Was painful and had a bruise from it the entire week, which looked great for my upcoming business trip (NOT). And since I don't wear eyeshadow, I couldn't even cover it up. Oh the pain! read more
