I am very disappointed with my experience at this salon. I have been here in the past and previously received good service. Today, the man who did my nails was extremely disrespectful and aggressive throughout the appointment. He repeatedly yanked my hand whenever it was not positioned exactly how he wanted and spoke to me in a loud, harsh, and rude tone, saying "excuse me" in a way that felt very demeaning. While drilling my nails, he was rough and aggressive, which made me uncomfortable. I asked for french tip nails. When he was doing the base coat, I politely asked him if he could do a more nude color rather than pink. He slammed drawers and was very rude about it. He was sighing, slamming things around, and continued to be more aggressive with his tone of voice and actions. I paid in cash and when I asked for change he rolled his eyes. I tipped him and he did not say anything. I will not be returning to this salon. read more

I received a solidly decent pedicure at A Plus Nails. I visited them on a whim, as I was actually headed next door to the reflexology parlor, but decided a pedi might be more enjoyable. The staff were very welcoming and were able to get me in right away. The technician who handled my pedicure was efficient, and worked quickly and quietly. I will say that I prefer a bit more of an intensive scrub with my pedi, but that could certainly vary based on the technician you work with. The salon was clean, well lit, and offered a variety of colors/finishes. I would definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area. read more

I always want my nails round and not square and I never have any issues even though most women do not get there nails round. Had a mom and daughter day and decided to go with this salon after seeing the great reviews. I am guessing we didn't get the right nail technician, because the man seem to just rush on my little girl and did such a sloppy job. I paid for two gel manicures and was hoping it would come out great, but in two days my daughters nails peeled completely right off. The lady who did my nails was in some rush as well and put far to many coats on, so my gel is peeling after two days. Reason for paying so much for gel is for it to last. Sadly I have wasted 60$ plus tip for our nails to peel by the second day. read more

My 90 year old father, his caregiver and my sister went into A Plus nails yesterday, to get him a pedicure and manicure. They saw his legs (Which have sores, but not open...just age) and treated him like he had a disease. They made him sit in a corner, on his walker, then told my sister he could not be serviced. They said they would clip his nails, but would not sit him in a chair. The staff were all extremely rude and non accommodating. My sister had enough and walked out. They went down the road to ROYAL SPOIL, where they treated him with dignity and respect, and somehow gave him a pedicure and a manicure without a problem. I have been to A Plus many times and will NEVER return. Shame on them. read more

Went in to get acrylics off and get a new full set. I was cut on two of my fingers by hand filing the sides. One finger was cut deep enough that it was bleeding and after she acknowledged that she made me bleed she later resumed to file in the same spot that was already cut. Beware of this place! Rude, unprofessional, overpriced, and rushed. I requested a manicure and pedicure. He let me soak all of 30 seconds before he rushed thru the lousy pedicure. Not relaxing whatsoever. And they weren't even busy! The "massage" was rubbing lotion on my legs. It was apparent the staff was talking bad about all of their paying clients, gesturing at them and laughing. If I could give ZERO stars I would. The staff was very rude. I took my mother there for a pedicure. She is 80 + and I wanted her feet to look nice for summer. They left her to soak in cold water. Her cuticles were not trimmed. Her heels and big toe had calluses that were not treated. As another reviewer said, they treat older people like they are diseased or something. My mother dresses well and is pleasant to talk to. She was treated like she was nasty. I thought Asians respected their elders. Not this place. When I tried to complain discretely to the manager, she came out from behind the desk and shouted at me. Instead of quietly resolving the problem, which is what I was trying to do, she told us to go somewhere else if we didn't like the service. The ONLY good technician there is named ANTHONY. Call ahead to get an appointment with him only. If you can't get him, go somewhere else immediately. read more

I started going to A Plus Nails when they opened in 2003 and still get the same professional quality and service I did 15 years ago. Everyone is so nice, they are very accommodating and the shop is really clean! I received a gift card for Christmas last year to another place for a mani/pedi and I was disappointed with the service, quality and the polish didn't stay on near as long as when I go to A Plus Nails. They made me feel like a circus freak! I have psoriasis on my calves and elbows. It is not bleeding, just not attractive. The young woman (they are all Vietnamese) who approached me, pointed to my legs and said "NO MASSAGE on LEG" and I said "why?, it is just psoriasis. It's not contagious, and you wear gloves when you work" and she kept shaking her head and looked about to vomit if she touched me. So the manager got involved. I said out loud "does anyone in this place speak fluent english?" (I wanted to explain what psoriasis is) She said "NO MASSAGE". Then the younger girl went to the back and had this man come out and do my toes. He explained to me in broken English that she didn't want to touch me!!! I should have just walked out but I had a gift cert for a mani-pedi worth $35 and they do not reimburse for those. So HE did my toes but he didn't even rub my FEET where there are NO scars. So then he did my manicure too. I have clear hands. He didn't even massage my hands. That is a big part of getting a manicure. He looked at the manager then me and said "I can no massage" They were all speaking Vietnamese to each other. Customers were all looking at me. They were very rude. I told the manager on the way out I would never come back. And I told her she'd be hearing from my attorney. She just said "ok". I have never been treated like that in my life. read more

I have visited this salon 4 to 5 times for my nails ..... this last time I went in to have a new set of nails put on and my older ones that had grown out taken off.....I was told that there was a 5.00 fee to have this done I was shocked since I had my grown out nails taken off a few times and was never changed for this ...it takes less then 2 min I timed him to take the older fake nails off.. when I stated to him that I had never been changed for this or even heard of this charge before he had another person come over while I was sitting at his station with a full shop of customers and she stared raising her voice to me and telling me how many times I had been there to have my nails done .....and I stated to her yes she was right BUT that she could look on my bills and see I NEVER had to pay this fee before .. .After this she walked away from me after rolling her eyes, and then the young man that was working on my nails who put them on the last time just never spoke a word to me again and just kept speaking on his phone or to other workers in a different language and he made me feel very uncomfortable... After my nails were done he just got up out of his seat and walked away ...I found this VERY rude and I find trying to upcharge customers uncalled for ..I checked there price board before leaving and NO where was this charge shown.... I will NOT go back to this Salon.... read more

Maybe I am just very picky about my acrylics and it could have just been the technician I had. I would not go back. My nails are all different lengths and were filed at an angle. She also put the acrylic too close to my cuticle so it is pulling my cuticle out as my nail grows. Normally if you get acrylics you wash your hands before they apply polish. They did not have me do that so I have acrylic shavings in my polish. The paint job was piss poor and is all over my Cuticle and looks like a kid did it. They also charge extra if you use a card instead of cash. Just not worth the money personally. read more
