The young woman who buzzed me in looked annoyed because I didn't immediately hear the click of the door opening. She, nor the young man eating his lunch, never acknowledged my presence, never greeted me, didn't offer help, literally never LOOKED UP FROM THEIR PHONES. I wonder if the treatment would have been the same if I "looked" differently? Perhaps they assumed that I wasn't worth their time, or perhaps they're just horrible at what they do. Either way, absolutely terrible experience I couldn't get out of there fast enough.

They sell both high-end and everyday clothing. A huge perk if you live in the city is that they pick up furniture and other donations. You need to clear it with them first to make sure it's something that they take, but they will also pick up bags of clothes that are within their donation guidelines. And if you bring over your donations yourself, they reimburse your cab fare up to $25. Check their website or call to confirm the details. It's really a fantastic perk and sets them apart from other resale shops. A great place to get fun clothes and unique furniture or housewares.

Visited today on Easter. Love my finds. It was my first trip to the area. Strolling by on a rainy…read moreday. So beautifully organized and so many discerning selections. All were carefully curated and displayed. My only dismay was not being aware of the important work the shop does as a non-profit before I randomly popped in as I was enjoying a stroll for some "me" time during a busy family trip. The woman with glasses, who I assume was the "manager/owner", was very passive aggressive with me and came off disrespectful and unwelcoming. I overheard her negotiating pricing on some items with other customers and when I was ready with my two vintage cameras (to be used for decor/props) and one pretty beat up purse (all totaling $75 w/o tax), I inquired if they were willing to do $70 for all. I wasn't sure what taxes the city/state charged so I wanted to be sure had enough on my card (a visa gift card a friend gave me when I was diagnosed with cancer) to cover the taxes. She loudly and obnoxiously replied "NO. WE DON'T HAGGLE HERE". I found it repulsive and aggressive when I had been so overly kind and impressed with the shop during my visit. It certainly caught me off guard. Especially after hearing her indeed "negotiate" pricing with other guests. She didn't even make eye contact with me but made sure to speak her words loud enough to try to embarrass me. I was not embarrassed, rather appalled and disgusted. So much so that I recalled other travelers from my party and told them not to come down to the shop. On the other hand, the two male clerks working with me were so kind, lovely and helpful during my visit. Kudos to them for staying pleasant and gracious in that moment that was intended for ugliness. While the encounter at the very end of my trip soured my visit, I would still encourage others to go and I will likely be back again next time. After visiting their website trying to figure out what I did wrong, I see that the work they do is impactful.

((4.5 stars)) Other…read morePeople's Clothes is not your average vintage or thrift experience. it's a clean, organized, brightly lit store that curates a variety of gently-worn clothes, accessories, and what-not. clothes are organized by clothing and is done in a way where the retail space is not cluttered or claustrophobic...the store space feel fairly open and spacious with dedicated areas for certain merchandise. recently, stopped by here because i wanted to pick up some unique baseball caps and they had a small variety upstairs in the jeans /pants area and managed to snag two snapbacks that had no apparent wear. checkout was quick. service was friendly and helpful. overall, stores like this really are about what's available, curation, and display...so far the few times I have stopped in...all three have been on target for me. obviously like any vintage-thrift experience you're mileage is going to vary dependent on what's there and what you want, but Other People's Clothes seem to understand this and make shopping here elementary.

I walked out with a black little dress from Abercrombie and a pink dress from Loft, less than $20 total. Can I get a "hell yeah?" I'd definitely recommend going through their racks at least once if you're in the area and are on a budget. They have a collection including home goods, shoes, bags, jewelry, books, and more. Had to dock a point because there's only one dressing room and it is so annoying to get changed in there, especially because people can easily peek in, due to it being so janky. It's also very uncomfortable to shop here because it's abnormally narrow, so while you're browsing, you'll have dozens of people moving past you, so you have to scooch into the racks to let them through, and it's very annoying. Last, customer service is so bad! The tall, black guy is insanely unfriendly and acts like he does not want you there. It's a bizarre attitude for a thrift store employee to have. Shouldn't you be more welcoming in a business environment like this?

I went in to find a nice winter coat, but the only women's jackets they had available were blazers. Also, my friend was trying to find light wash men's jeans and they only had one pair, which he bought (thankfully, they were his side) but after he purchased them, there were no other men's wash light jeans. There were, however, tons of clothes in the back that seemed more relevant to our current weather that hadn't been put on display yet. I hope they put them out soon and organize a bit better.
