Best Chicken place ever! Also the macaroni and cheese is absolutely the best I've ever had! We go there at least once a week. So happy they are in West Chester. Finally tried a Popeye's Chicken Sandwich at the Aston location, and it was very good. I liked it better than Chick-fil-A. It was a crispy, tender, juicy damn near perfect chicken cutlet, all white meat chicken breast on a nice toasted bun. It normally comes with mayo or some sort of spicy sauce, but I asked for it plain, with the pickles. The pickles were the good deli pickles, sliced nice and thick. I got the combo w/fries, and the fries came in a box with enough for for two people, but I was so full after the sandwich I didn't touch the fries. Stopped in here several weeks ago and didn't experience any of the stuff the other reviewers have mentioned. The place was clean, the servers were friendly and talkative, and the food came out hot and just as we ordered. Being the fried chicken loving Southern girl that I am, I was happy to see the old KFC building finally being revived after being closed for 10-15 years. Now I don't have to go to the grocery store or over to Brookhaven to get my fried chicken fix, and that makes me a happy girl :) read more

Finally got a chicken sandwich. It was good. I still like Chick filet more. The roll is too big. I don't want mayo on it. The pickles are not as good. Popeyes never look as clean. Maybe it the lighting? The chicken breast is very good and I can see why is is popular. But iconic??? More ironic. read more

Have to give this a one start today because of the cleanliness or lack there of. All trash cans were overflowing, trash was all over the floor. No I did not go to get a chicken sandwich. I do not eat this stuff but my 10 year old wanted fried chicken so we went through the drive- through on a slushy-snowy mess of a night. Service was extra slow because of this and the person 2 cars ahead of us who needed to wait for her food pulled up but no far enough blocking the rest of the line. A mess. Meanwhile - the chicken and biscuit were both hot & fresh and my kid devoured the whole caloric mess right in the car. So much for a healthy meal. In one sentence, Popeyes has some good ass chicken!!!!! We love the spicy chicken, the biscuits are bangin and the mashed with spicy gravy is pretty awesome!!! the corn on the cob is good and the onion rings they make are seriously delicious. WORSE Experience ever. 1st they forgot my fries and mac and cheese. went back got that. then i got home and started feeding my kids. and realized it's only 8 pieces when it's suppose to be 11. i called them and they told me i can come back and get the 3 prices the forgot to put in. i told them it would be my 2nd time going back so are they going to give me my money back and she said no you have to bring the food back for them to give me my money. then i asked for the corporates number and she tells me there. is no corporate. she's the big boss which i call BS! read more

I will not be going back. On a positive note, (the only positive), the young girl working the front counter was very nice and very apologetic. Every order that was placed took a very long time to fill because nothing was ready. They are taking the "fast" out of fast food. We ordered shrimp-they were out of cocktail sauce. If they had told me this when I placed my order, I would have chosen something else. We were eating our food there, so we asked for napkins-they were out of napkins. Really?? You are selling fried chicken and you are out of napkins? The man who was ahead of us, ordered two spicy chicken meals. After waiting a long time, they asked him if 1 spicy and 1 regular would be okay. The food here is not cheap (we ordered chicken tenders and the fish and shrimp meal and the bill was $18)-the least they could do is give you what you ordered. The place was clean, very few tables. Wasn't much ppl there, placed an order of 4 chicken piece combo with a large fry and fountain drink. The fries were good but cold. Chicken seemed to have been sitting under the heating lights for a while. In my opinion, i still prefer KFC's original recipe. Soda machine area was messy and they had no condiments. read more

Got my daughter a kids meal and the Nuggets were really lame. I don't like getting them fast food as it is, but this was really bad. There were tons of fries and a biscuit and just a few teeny tiny nuggets. My son got an adult meal and his wasn't much better. I don't eat this crap so I can't comment on my meal. I have to agree with scott. My experience there was terrible. The food was bad. We ate inside and it was a mess, trash left on tables and the floor. The worse part there where employees just hanging around doing nothing. I can go on and on but you get the point. On a positive note the cashier that worked that night did provide good service. So this Popeyes just opened and I was extremely hopeful. I went in, and it is disgusting inside and rarely decorated. Having only been to Popeyes once I needed time to look over the menu before I ordered. I was essentially forced into ordering by the pompous "manager" wearing a sweater vest that hasn't been cool since 2004. This tool tells me I should go with the 3 spicy tenders and fries, and he'll do me a favor and give it to me for $3.99. I play along being a nice guy even though I saw the commercial advertising this meal for ... You guessed it... $3.99! Cool, thanks for the hookup chief. This dude continues to remind me how he "hooked me up" and saved me "like 5 bucks" for doing what he did. Congratulations man, here's your medal. I proceeded to wait exactly 10 minutes before I got my food. During this wait the manager proceeded to banter the young employees while he texted and drank a soda in the booth. I also had the fortune of hearing the other manager and young workers discuss derrogatory terms in spanish with one of the guys in the back. I then had to go back in because they forgot my Mac and cheese, which is basic stuff. I get back to my place and to my surprise there's 2 GD TENDERS IN THE BOX. They were small, and well over cooked. That will be my last trip, but judging by the fact that a 3 piece chicken meal is $7.50, the inside looks like the waiting room of a Russian hospital, and a fast food chicken franchise failed in that location a few years ago, I doubt this Popeye's will last to the summer. How bad was my experience? This Popeyes wasn't listed on yelp before my post... I went through the time to register it just to say how terrible my experience was.
