Had to argue. The first time I had Not Just Wings, it was a day that a Cat 1 hurricane rolled up the coast, and Greater Philly was about to experience heavy rain and high winds. I was home alone this weekend, so I decided to try Not Just Wings before the weather got bad. Put in my order for Hot BBQ, got them home *right before* the weather arrive, sat down at the dinner table, the rain and wind began, and I couldn't have cared less. I ate those wings as if I were a starving dog. Which was ironic, considering that my dog stared at me and drooled the entire time. Best wings I've ever had? Hard to say. But definitely in the conversation. They were big, thick, and robust. The sauce was good and sticky and just hot enough (could probably go a little hotter, tbh). 4* because they're too pricey, IMO. Okay, update to March 2024. Recently just had not just wings and it was DISGUSTING! The chicken wings had this foul taste like they were old, the sauce was extremely greasy with no flavor. Not to mention they were soggy, when I asked for fried hard. The chicken cheese steak was just a bunch of cheese, where's the meat? They charged a dollar and some change per extra blue cheese, which was extremely funky. I couldn't tell if it was fresh blue cheese or just something they have sitting in the back growing its own funk! I think the most disappointing thing for me were the wings because they had this really bad foul taste to it! $40 down the drain. The wings are big and meaty and the sauce is on point. They have tons of sauces but I stick with Buffalo and the Cam Newton (Carolina BBQ & Hot Sauce Mixed) Always great for the games. Just sucks they do not open until 1PM on Sundays. i like to not miss any of the game. Cheesesteaks are very meaty and well seasoned. The roll which makes any sandwich is crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. With the right amount of fried onions and cheese makes for one tasty meal. Been going there for years. They started a rewards thing. I was told I had $13.80 in rewards when I picked up my order I was told it was only $7.70 I said that's wrong, the man handling my payment said " I'll believe you". I said no I'll take the $7.70. Oh yes he never gave me a receipt which probably showed my rewards! I get home and look at the last receipt and sure as hell it said my rewards were $13.80. Over a year ago my daughter brought me home a chicken cheesesteak. It was absolutely awesome I asked her where she got it from it was this place. I haven't had one since. Just the other day I ordered two ham and cheese hoagies for myself and my mother. They were the worst hoagies I have ever had in my life. The meat was paper thin with only a few slices, it was placed on top of the lettuce and tomatoes where they got this idea from it's probably from New York or New Jersey. If you have hoagies in the city of Philadelphia or the surrounding area you do not put the meat on top of the lettuce tomatoes it was very bland had absolutely no flavor and we had everything on it it is the worst. Don't cut down on the quality just go up on the price. I spent $25 for paper sandwiches. Okay $30 I tip the driver. I could tell by the weight of the bag it barely had any meat on the sandwich. Well I must say we did a carry out not really impressed by the eat in option, while there no one was sitting in I saw a lot of people doing carry out. I ordered the buffalo wing and honey bbq wings, my husband ordered the chicken cheese steak with some pizza sauce he loved is better than the regular chicken cheese steak. I love their honey bbq wings and was not a fan of the buffalo wings the oil seems to have separated from the wing sauce and the buffalo sauce did not stick to the chicken wings. Second time that I ordered through grub hub [i despise talking to people on the phone to order food if I do t have to cuz they never get it right for whatever reason Atleast on grub hub I can type it all out and if it gets messed up it's because someone didn't follow directions properly] any ways ordered at 6:30 was approximately supposed to arrive at 7:50....I got my food at 8:45 I can't believe it.... I'm only giving one star because zero is not an option. I've experienced bad, well NO level of customer service upon visiting and was not even going to mention the previous time... but today... I have time. I walked in, no customers were in the waiting area, but I could see the employees making food were busy, which is fine. The gentleman right at the register seemed to be busy doing something... didn't greet me. But fine. He called someone else to come help me, and they asked my order and gave me the amount, but told the other person they could have helped me because "it's only one thing". As a disclaimer, I'm basing my review on an experience where I had some of their wings at someone else's event. I did not order from them so I can't judge quality of service, delivery, etc. However, based simply on the taste of their wings alone, I was compelled to give them a positive review. For the Delco area, I'd put them near the top. The wings were thick, the crispness was just right, and the sauce had just enough kick to make it interesting. Are they as good as a place in Buffalo? So we've ordered from this place ever since our friend recommended it to us. The food is great but I don't know if they're getting too busy or something but our orders have been subpar lately. The last time we ordered they forgot one of our meals. This time around they messed up on my wrap (which I specified how I wanted twice because they messed up one previous time I ordered it!) and forgot an order of wings. All forgiven since they delivered the missing items pretty quickly. However, later on I decided to heat up the rest of my wrap (since I had to wait for it) and I found a hair in it... Pretty darn good! Tons of flavors of wings. I should have went adventurous, but decided to just stick to honey hot and lemon pepper wings. The honey hot could have used a lil bit more honey. It had a very nice kick, but I wanted some more sweetness balance with it. The lemon pepper was perfect. The right amount of seasoning and the wings had a really good crisp. My husband decided to order the cheesesteak and some fries as well. The cheesesteaks were stuffed to its max. You definitely get your money's worth with this. We asked for mayo on it, and it came with globs in it which we had to try and scrap out, but the flavor of the overall cheesesteak was really good. As for the fries, love it! I ordered 20 wings The wings are great yet I walked from Chester Pike and Glenolden to their location on my way out my wings were put in a bag with a lot of sauce in the bag it was my first time there it'll be my last time there as well. The bag leaked out I Saw sauce on my shoe. So I put the bag in my right hand and held it up as I was holding a back up I noticed that the bag was leaking a lot the sauce leaked all over my clothes which was no problem things happen. I went to the store just to get another bag I didn't say anything I wasn't upset with the people I just asked for another bag. An employee asked me How did this happen I was like I really don't know and he said impossible as if he was blaming the tear on the bottom of the bag on me. I just told him look at the bag. Been going to this great local wing place for years. This place has a mega ton of sauces for every variety to choose from. I personally go with the "Cam Newton" wings most of the time. My uncle and I have a weekly tradition of ordering wings from around the area on nights the Flyers play. Lately, we've found the problem with most wing joints is the preparation or the sauce. However, when I called in an order at Not Just Wings, I was met with poor attitude from whomever was taking my order. I asked what different kinds of BBQ sauces they offered for wings and the response I received was: "Just Sweet Baby Ray's." I then asked if they had any variations on the normal Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ, to which the cashier responded, "If you want them to be hot, just add hot sauce." OH, word?? Anyway, the order was in and I was told I they would be ready in 20 minutes. When I arrived, I was barely accommodated by the employees. I waited an extra 12 minutes for my BBQ wings. Upon arrival I found a whole menu of different BBQ sauces, among other things. It's like that then, huh? Not a word was spoken to me until I got the ol' "sorry for the wait" excuse despite the place being completely empty. To top it off, a woman came in while I waited for my wings and was helped right away. I will give credit where it's due, because they were pretty good wings. If I could leave 0 stars I would but i can't. So I had to put 1. Placed an order from Not Just Wings which was supposed to be 45 minutes for delivery and turned out being over 1 hour and 45 minutes for delivery to Folsom. I ordered 25 mild wings, 10 hot wings, a Texan wrap, a chicken Dijon wrap, 2-3 piece chicken finger platters, 2 orders of French fries and 2- liters of Diet Pepsi. Food finally gets delivered and the delivery guys says he forgets a 2 liter and will bring it right back, cool no big deal. We open the food and everything is cold. The one chicken finger platter, the chicken fingers look like the size of mozzarella sticks. All the French fries we ordered- including the ones that came in the platter are broken into small pieces, soggy and half cooked. The Dijon wrap half the wrap had no chicken on it- only had lettuce. All the wings were cold. I called and told them I was not happy and spoke with 2 different people and explained the situation before speaking to the manager about the order. The manager was extremely rude and unfriendly/ and had an attitude about the whole situation. The manager stated that in order for any food to be remade or money to be returned the driver would first have to pick up what we wanted remade and bring it back to the store and than have it looked at and than they could issue money/ new food. I asked how long new food would take and was told it would take about another 45 minutes. I said forget it they could come get their rotten $80 worth of food. I will never order from here again when they have 0 customer service and treat customers like an inconvenience. read more
