Save yourself the frustration and skip this location. I was here on March 7th and watched a customer try to raise a concern about his order. Two employees stood there smirking at him. Not a little smile -- full contempt, like he was a joke. The man was visibly upset. They thought it was funny. I said something on my way out. They smirked at me too. Both of us are Black. The staff involved were not. What I witnessed was anti-Blackness. Not the loud kind. The kind that's so comfortable it doesn't even try to hide. Poor service is one thing. But some people aren't satisfied with just doing a bad job -- they need to make sure you know they think they're above you while they're doing it. That costs nothing to fix. It's a choice. I went to corporate. Two weeks. Form letters. A five day response window they blew past. One rep literally called it "this very important issue" in bold -- then told me to go back to the store and talk to the shift manager. The same people my complaint was about. It was late and decided to go there and it was 2 hours before they closed. It was disgusting inside. Whole pieces of chicken and crumbs everywhere on chairs and floor of dining area. One employee was even eating in the area. How nasty. I had to leave. I live in another borough and never saw the conditions of inside a restaurant like that before anywhere. If I could give a zero I would! Placed an order online. As they are looking for my order someone comes in and places a bag in the counter. They look in the bag and realize it's my order. I ask can I have fresh food being that I saw a men come in and place the bag on the counter. The manager Tahier said "So what!" In a rude manner. I explained why I required food that was not returned to the store. He told me I would have to wait until he served everyone else before he could change it! The Popeyes is unbelievably unorganized and dishonest. For starters, I ordered 3 chicken sandwiches (2 spicy and 1 regular) The total came out to $13.03, so I gave the cashier a $20. The change that I should be getting back is $6.97. I don't know if the cashier thought I was dumb and/or she was trying to rip me off, but she handed me back 97 cents only. I later told her that I gave her a $20 bill so she had to ask her manager for the key to unlock the register so she can give me the remaining $6. Afterward,I stepped to the side to wait for my chicken sandwiches. Another customer behind me also ordered a chicken sandwich and she got hers in a matter of seconds after the cashier simply handed her one from the under the heat lamp. It wasn't until 5-10 minutes later when I got fed up with waiting and decided to ask for my sandwiches. They "finally" realized that my ticket had been sitting around for the past 10 minutes so they decided THEN to give me my sandwiches. I will never be back at this location again nor would I recommend this venue to anyone. read more

Be prepared to wait and wait and wait some more if you want food or good service. If you have time to go to another Popeyes establishment just go there altogether! This location has got to do better. The service here is the slowest of any fastfood in the area. There appear to be more staff than necessary standing about in private conversations making the customer's experience utterly dreadful. Seemingly on each of my visits the trash receptacles are always overflowing and no attention has been given to the conditions of the tables or floors. Summation; attention has to be more on providing speedy service and keeping this location clean. read more

Consistently great staff even before the following inside the occurred: 7/23/20 I placed and order and after waited 1hr 15min I called the location to inquire about my delivery. Door dash somehow messed up the pick up by neglecting to deliver it at all. The manager replaced the order within minutes. Including giving me a complementary extra side. The entire staff was responsive and genuinely cared. Unusual for a fast food restaurant. Great staff and manager/management. read more

I hadn't been to this Popeyes since it's re opening due to some questionable things that went down there before it closed- things of the poop variety . I figured that a "grand reopening " and a couple of months staying away would make it safe enough to eat their. Long story short the lines are extremely long and the staff is super slow moving. They have deals on occasion but you get what you pay for, at least at this chain. I made the mistake of ordering the $5 popcorn chicken meal and opened the box to find several large pieces of fried chicken skin and about 4 tiny pieces of fried chicken. This Popeye's is terrible. The service is SUPER SLOW. Both in-person and for delivery. I waited 3 hours for an Uber Eats order and all I ordered was a chicken sandwich. I only ordered from them because I had an UberEats voucher and everything else in the area was closed. Never again! Clueless or racist..can't tell these days. Just now I stood there for five minutes while two counter people -(who were just at the counter as cashiers) are putting things away, first time I just let it be. Then i was like, "Anyone working at the counter?"and a Latina counter worker with glasses just looked through me. Another worker was helping the previous customer but usually one might say," just one moment" to be courteous. Went in one time and I just could not get past how that soda fountain that lets you choose like 60 different sodas and flavors, they put that behind the counter. Like, why??? Thats a self serve fountain! And the woman behind the counter wasn't even nice about it, she ain't even ask me what flavor of coke I wanted like I was expected to memorize them all from the previous time I went there. Smh. I've been to this location on multiple occasions. Even though I am not crazy about this place it's just the only popeyes around. Getting parking in this area is horrendous. Everytime I go, my brother always stays in the car while I go inside to order. This popeyes is connected to a burger King also. The service here is always slow so expect to be waiting there for at least 20 minutes. If it wasn't for the sake of wanting popeyes, this would not be the ideal location at all. read more

The food tastes like every other Popeye's more or less. My concern is the sanitary conditions. There's one employee whose been there for a while who is ALWAYS sneezing and coughing. Sometimes she covers her mouth. More often than not, she doesn't. Even worse, when she does cover her mouth, she barely splashes any water on her hands (without any soap) and dries them off. It's a sickening sight to see. My suggestion is if she calls you for your order, politely tell her you're still deciding and wait for someone else. Otherwise, leave. Not the sort of place I'd stay to eat inside. Not always, but often times it's filthy in there with a questionable crowd of kids with nothing better to do than hang out at a fast food restaurant. Lordy. Another place that is supposed to be a convenience in the neighborhood and ends up being such a negative experience. I for one cannot stand Popeyes but my hubby does like it. I looked past the B rating in disgust and got on line to order thy loved one his lunch. 2 employees, one taking orders and helping customers, the other clearly pretending to be keeping so busy she cannot take anyone on line. I was the last on line but the longer I stood waiting the longer the line got and employee #2 continues to slowly fetch the chicken to fulfill the orders taken by employee#1, something she could have clearly handled on her own. Finally what appears to be a manager of sorts comes up front, takes one look at the snake line forming and asks her to take the next customer. With the same stank look on her face starts calling for the next customer. She hands me my order with no utensils sauces or anything I had asked for when my order was taken. Ugh clearly she hates her life but I didn't fill out her job application so do the job you were hired to do so I can be on my merry way! Hopefully this is the last time I need to step foot in this place. Their only draw is their fancy soda machine but since there is only one, you need to think quick as there is always someone behind you waiting impatiently for their turn. Hmph. read more
