I went to the last stop during Taco Tuesdays and was not disappointed. The tacos are very reasonably priced with more than enough protein given on them - no skimping :). The margaritas are also pretty good, but I thought that they could be a little stronger so I would buy a margarita and a shot and add the shot to the margarita (power move I know). I also had the elote which wasn't bad but after visiting Mexico City, nothing can compare [[HIGHLIGHT]]all in all, this is a fun spot in the Bronx.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Terrible photo of amazing butter chicken wings

I've been here a few times for drinks - it's a chill spot with great drinks and great bartenders. But last night, I was on the couch with my husband...it was 10pm, and we saw a cooking show with great looking chicken wings...and suddenly we both had a craving. And it reminded me that I still hadn't tried the butter chicken wings at The Last Stop. We put on our shoes and went and it the best thing I did this week! The Indo-American fusion of chicken wings with their (INCREDIBLE) butter sauce is an absolute hit. The wings were large, succulent and fried to perfection and I made sure no sauce was left behind. We also got a side of chips and guacamole- a hefty portion and absolutely fresh and delicious. Now I'm looking forward to going back and trying more (butter sauce Mac and cheese...I'm looking at you, kid) [[HIGHLIGHT]]For a Friday night, there was a a nice, chill group of diners and drinkers grooving to the dj.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was great place to spend some time. And as a small, family-owned business, I will certainly be back sooner than later- this neighborhood needs good places to thrive!

Happy hour platter. Totally worth the price 4 tacos, 4 sliders, wings, and fries. So delicious, coming back for different happy hour days!

Food -Absolutely Delightful! OmG!!!! I was pleasantly surprised by the quality & taste of what I ordered. We couldn't decide which flavor to order. So, we order chicken and shrimp Nachos. Two separate orders! As well as a Happy Hour Feast with beef and cheddar sliders, Curley fries, sweet chili wings, and fish tacos. The platter was huge and extremely affordable. There were 4 hamburger sliders handmade. Can you believe it?! They were juicy, seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The tacos were fried cod (well I think from the texture) with cabbage and mango salsa. What I didn't Like was the tacos had to be the same choice for all four. It was fresh and totally delicious! The curly fries were fried and NOT greasy. Which I loved. They were the generic seasoned curly fries. The wings were soooooo good! They were fried wingettes with flour and seasoning then tossed in a sauce. Ha! It was so tasty and weren't over fried. The meat was really meaty and we enjoyed them! Drinks- Margaritas with no salt or sugar. Annnnnd BABY, they were strong and shaken to perfection! Service- Absolutely spot on! There's one waitress and she held it down. She remembered every single ask and gave honest opinions without being frazzled by the amount of tables she juggled. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance- Chic, photo ops ready, smaller than I had imagined. But I'm going back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can't wait to go back!

The staff made me feel special, interacted with my family & friends that were in attendance: [[HIGHLIGHT]]Music was A+, food was bomb![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Drinks were even better! Butter chicken wings

Such a cool spot located right off of the last stop of the 1 (see what they did there?) Went on a random Thursday and it was pretty empty. The decor inside was so cool. We came for their Indian American fusion. We got the butter chicken wings and the butter chicken Mac and cheese. I liked the wings but I can't say that they tasted like butter chicken. The Mac and cheese was phenomenal. Good butter chicken flavor with chunks of tender chicken and cheese pulls galore.

Went here after work! Loved that it was a cool spot in my home borough...BX! The place is busy but does not accept reservations. We had a bit of a wait before we were seated. Once seated we were greeted by friendly and welcoming waiter. She was prompt and also gave us some scoop behind her favorite dishes. We order the butter chicken wings, the Last Stop Classic Burger. The butter chicken came out pipping hot! The chicken was super saucy which I appreciate. I dislike dry chicken. I would go back here just for the chicken wings. For drinks we ordered the Euphoria, metro booming, and hennything cocktails. The drinks were okay but not any worst from what you'll get at a standard bar. For desserts, we got the fried Oreos with ice cream and Lloyds Carrot Cake. The carrot cake was bussing but it lack an overall carrot flavor.

The Last Stop is such a vibe! It really is a gem in this neighborhood. I recommend going during happy hour since they have great drink and appetizer specials. I got two different mojitos and a cider. I don't remember what kind of cider I ordered, but it was so good -- probably some of the best I've had! The star of the show were the cauliflower tacos. These are a MUST! The shrimp tacos are also really good too! I ordered both since I couldn't make up my mind. The food has an Indian twist on it, so you'll find hints of Indian flavors throughout the food!

The Last Stop is the perfect brunch spot in the Bronx! You can take the train straight to it. The decor is very Alice in Wonderland picturesque with some homage to the Yankees, the subway stop and it's original diner days mixed in. Staff and bartender were super friendly. The food is fire. For $35 you can get pre-fixed and $25 bottomless brunch. They have some Indian persuasion items like butter chicken wings (say less!) and aloo. We loved their adorable stack of pancakes with Nutella and their chicken and waffles. They also have some delicious churros to top it off. Go now before it gets crowded!

"The Works". Thai wings, shrimp tacos, beef sliders, fried
    Kim O.

My girlfriend and I were looking for somewhere to have drinks and a little food on a Friday night and I remembered my daughter mentioning this place so we decided to try it. We both loved the vibe here. It was empty when we arrived (crowded by the time we left) so we sat at the bar and started with drinks from their happy hour menu. We ordered margaritas - I tried the strawberry (too sweet for me) and then switched to the regular with lime which was good. We ordered "The Works" platter which came with four sliders (you can choose either chicken or beef), four shrimp tacos (you get a choice of other meats like beef, chicken, etc), six wings (you get quite a few choices but we ordered Thai) and fries. We didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive nice and hot and everything was delicious. Now, onto the service......the waitress/bartender checked on us numerous times to make sure we were ok and to tell us that since my girlfriend was wearing a flannel shirt she gets a free shot since it was flannel shirt night. She gave me a shot as well after I told her I didn't get the memo lol. A live DJ started around 8:00 (I think) and he played some really good music. I loved the vibe here and can't wait to go back!

I really wanted to like Bronx Public, but my experience ended up being pretty average…read more I ordered the plantain chips as an appetizer and the crispy chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries for my main course. The chicken sandwich was juicy with the sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly with a crispy outside and soft center. The plantain chips were a little undercooked for my taste. They also came out at the same time as my sandwich, so they really weren't much of an appetizer. I also ordered an Old Fashioned. Since it's my favorite cocktail, I may be harder to please than most, but I'd only give it a 2 out of 5. It just didn't have the balance and flavor I was expecting. The atmosphere was probably the highlight of the visit. They have seven big TVs throughout the restaurant, making it a great place to watch sports. Unfortunately, the service details brought the experience down. I asked twice for no pickles on my sandwich, but it still came out with pickles. Thank goodness I'm not allergic to pickles, because that could have been a much more serious mistake. It's a simple request that should have been caught. Overall, there were some positives, especially the sandwich, fries, and sports atmosphere, but too many small mistakes added up. Between the appetizer arriving with the main course, the undercooked plantain chips, the disappointing Old Fashioned, and the missed special request, this visit didn't live up to my expectations.

The crispy octopus easily rivals anything I've had in Manhattan, super tender with just the right crisp. The cassava hash browns were so good I was almost annoyed by how simple they were. Paired with a rich, meaty sauce and a fresh fennel crunch, the whole dish was incredibly balanced. The wings were the most straightforward item on the menu (in the best way), lightly spiced, slightly sweet, and great for picky eaters. Someone needs to give the bartenders a raise. I ordered three drinks just to test consistency--every single one was balanced, spirit-forward, and not overly sweet. The presentation was different on each one and felt intentional without being gimmicky. I've seen some of the lower Yelp ratings and they mostly call out price, but this is very much a you get what you pay for situation. The quality of the food, the portion sizes (especially for this level of execution), and the overall intentionality behind the menu justify it in my opinion. Service was excellent. They squeezed me in last minute, and my waiter, Dionicio, handled my coconut allergy (not easy at a Dominican spot) with real care and ease. The space itself is worth mentioning - moody, mushroom/mossy interiors. Super cute, very well thought out, and definitely a place I'll be coming back to.

Home Bx…read morewas packed, with only a few tables remaining and all the flatscreens and a new screen behind where the live entertainment plays, broadcasting the England victory over Norway and the Argentina victory over Switzerland. It had been a while since I had been here and I was focused on the number one item on the menu: the 53oz bone in Cote de Boeuf, always medium rare, which I believe is one of the best values for carnivores in town. Once seated in the corner near the front window, I perused their new menu off the new menu from the QR code. I noticed the pork belly over chickpeas and ordered that along with a glass of red sangria. Irma took my order and I explained I wanted a fruity non fortified red sangria. It was very good. Irma forgot the bread and butter they usually serve and they brought it later after her shift ended. The pork belly was very good and so crisp. The serrated steak knife was necessary. The fat was largely rendered out, but still present between the crackling skin and the savory meat underneath. It was two thick slabs over the chickpeas and a substantial appetizer for 16 bucks. Some appetites could enjoy this as a main with a salad and be fine. That would not be me this evening. I ordered the Cote de Boeuf medium rare, which comes with grilled onions and two sides, which I chose the whipped potatoes and the asparagus, the latter new to the menu. I also ordered the Lobster Mac and Cheese as an extra, which is now served with Gruyere as an additional cheese to the mix. The Gruyere is new and it adds a sharpness juxtaposed with the sweet lobster meat and puts this over the top for me. They adjoined the neighboring free table and brought out the steak sizzling and pre-cut from the kitchen. I tried to take a video of that moment without success. I told them to hold all the sauces they offer and just bring the citrus salt. This magnificent cut only needs the citrus salt and nothing more; though, you will find those grilled onions go well with this cut. At $125 for this hunk of bone in excellence, this is one of the best cuts served in NYC at an irrefutably great value, with the sides included, save for the Lobster Mac and Cheese. So juicy and flavorsome highlighted with the citrus salt, that pink center with the ring is evident of what the skillful chefs can do here at Home Bx. The steak at Home Bx may be aged, dry or wet, I cannot confirm; however, the edge goes to less than a handful of the other steakhouses for flavor, but none at this price. The whipped potatoes are great and are the perfect accomplishment for steak. I don't know why the whipped potatoes are served modestly for such a large steak, but they are very good. The asparagus, new to the menu, are about eight large stalks and are not overcooked. The salt and juice runoff from the steak go well with the asparagus counterpoint. The Lobster Mac and Cheese deserves repeat mention, with the addition of Gruyere cheese. It now has more refined and balanced flavor, with the Gruyere and lobster playing off each other. The Lobster Mac and Cheese is a must have here. It's that good and goes well with the steak. 4.3 stars! Stay tuned for part two of this review. I ordered the new pork chop on the menu and the roast chicken to go.
