What a wonderful spot for you to explore. We wanted to take our friend out to dinner for his birthday he likes a low key style. We called a head since it was 6 of us to see if we could do a walk in or if we needed a reservation , and both options are available which is a plus. Dress attire is your choice we dressed regular nothing fancy just day to day hang out style. We were greeted kindly by the staff sat down handed a set of dominoes to play with while we waited for our food and drank some water. The pretty young thing was a nice citrusy drink with a little salty aftertaste, which balanced out the flavor nicely. The cokes were not water down they were good as well. For food we ordered the Cuban sandwich with parmesan fries, butter chicken wings, butter chicken macaroni and cheese, steak nachos grande, butter chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and mom's butter chicken platter. This was a wonderful Spanish and Indian style combination of flavors. Definitely my first time having this type of food and wow what a mind blowing experience. Not one person in the table complained or had anything negative to say about their food. We all tried each other's food and each bite we exchanged to try was delicious and better than the last . The Cuban was delicious but the parmesan fries stole the show from that meal it was paired so lovely who would've thought those flavors would've mixed nicely. The mom's butter chicken platter was delicious they gave the right amount of sauce, the pita bread was delicious and soft, the salad that it was paired with was good too the rice was decently portioned. This is a nice spot in the Bronx for a quick breakfast brunch with friends. I stop in on a Saturday evening with my friend. We were looking for a place to talk and have a drink. We sat at the bar and did just that. We did a mojito pitcher, nothing to go crazy over but for the price why not. We also had Guac. I went to the last stop during Taco Tuesdays and was not disappointed. The tacos are very reasonably priced with more than enough protein given on them - no skimping :). The margaritas are also pretty good, but I thought that they could be a little stronger so I would buy a margarita and a shot and add the shot to the margarita (power move I know). I've been here a few times for drinks - it's a chill spot with great drinks and great bartenders. But last night, I was on the couch with my husband...it was 10pm, and we saw a cooking show with great looking chicken wings...and suddenly we both had a craving. And it reminded me that I still hadn't tried the butter chicken wings at The Last Stop. We put on our shoes and went and it the best thing I did this week! The Indo-American fusion of chicken wings with their (INCREDIBLE) butter sauce is an absolute hit. The wings were large, succulent and fried to perfection and I made sure no sauce was left behind. We also got a side of chips and guacamole- a hefty portion and absolutely fresh and delicious. The service was absolutely terrible. We waited about 15 minutes to even get greeted by our waitress after being seated. The restaurant wasn't busy at all mind you. After we were greeted by our waitress we gave our entire order (cocktails, appetizers and entrees). The decor is very Alice in Wonderland picturesque with some homage to the Yankees, the subway stop and it's original diner days mixed in. Staff and bartender were super friendly. The food is fire. For $35 you can get pre-fixed and $25 bottomless brunch. They have some Indian persuasion items like butter chicken wings (say less!) and aloo. I came here with a group of three and there was a 90 minute time limit on the tables however it was a slow night and they let us stay. Inside is very lovely nicely decorated. When I walked in and saw the beautiful flowers and vines hanging from the ceiling I knew that it was going to be a good vibe. I've had the souvlaki platter, butter chicken and samosas (may not be on the menu anymore). I always get one or the either because I know it will hit the spot and satisfy my craving. They are open late which is great for me, but sometimes you call to place the order and no one picks up and that is frustrating. Literally the LAST STOP on the uptown 1 train nice space, offering multiple high tables to enjoy food/drinks. Bar section is spacious enough to hang out there too. Anyway I look up the menu through the QR code, most spots are doing this now. My waitress came and told me about some of the menu options. It was Happy Hour so I decided to order a Mojito with some Fish Tacos, Fried Butter Mac and Cheese (it had chicken in the name, but its a mishap on the menu I was told because it came with no chicken) and Masla waffle fries. Everything was delicious. The star was the Mac and Cheese. It was almost better than my own. The spices were Indian spices and it seems thats the kind of food you get here. Bar bites and meals infused with Indian spices. I will make a return for their Taco 2s Day where the tacos are $2.50 each for Happy Hour and Im coming back to check out the cauliflower tacos along with the shrimp ones too. This restaurant unfortunately did not meet my expectations. Upon my arrival . I was greeted by the hostess who was very nice and had my table reserved which set the stage for a promising experience. Being NYCs pancake connoisseur my expectations were pretty high when it came to the pancakes but was completely underwhelmed. First and foremost the pancakes bore no resemblance to their only online portrayal. The pancakes were thin and slightly tough to cut, it tasted as if the pancake mix were from a box. However, the Aloo Benny was win , savory and flavorful, aside from the English muffin been tough to cut through. I was also very impressed with the hollandaise sauce, It was rich and buttery and the poached egg was perfectly cooked. The butter chicken was decent but definitely an acquired taste.
