This Popeyes is located on Sugarland Highway, pretty much the main drag of Clewiston, right across S. Sand Pedro Street from Jalapeno's Mexican. I've stopped by this location several times as ordering their Cajun Fish. Though I know it is basically a chicken outlet much the same as KFC, and though I prefer their chicken to that of KFC, have generally found their fish to be somewhat more in keeping with what is Louisiana or Cajun style; always tasty and nicely breaded with a good solid Cajun like spicy flavor. I've general also found the service here to be decent with the place kept clean, orderly and having a decent appearance about it. Though most of the customers here seem to be here for take-out, the facilities for dining in are spacious and decent enough for a fast food chain operation. read more

Tried to walk in several times and doors where locked before 8 pm some people can't use drive thru for many reasons like being disabled and can't drive . They have an employee sitting outside as a greeter just to tell you their dining room is closed . And a few employees just walking around lost . Again I ask why are there so many businesses in Clewiston not willing to stay open and support the community. Covid restrictions have been relaxed by the CDC ,the federal government , and state long ago , so what's the problem ? read more

After the 70 minutes drive to the town of Clewiston, FL, my family and I stopped at this Popeye's restaurant for a bite to eat. The restaurant was quiet with only four people dining in. People were coming to the restaurant, but they were ordering their food to go. The girl at the counter was nice, as well as the decor of the place. We ordered the 8 piece mild mix family meal with 4 biscuits and large cajun fries. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Though the biscuits was nice & soft, it was a bit salty. Had to wash it down with some water. The food didn't make me say cock-a-doodle-doo, but it was alright; so I'll give Popeye's a fair rating of three stars for good service. read more

I stopped by on a road trip with kids in the car and arrived at their drive thru at 9:54 which I understand is very close to their closing time but they had the automated system tell us they were closed and when we pulled up to the window they walked away and screamed they were closed from far. This is possibly the worst managed food place imaginable. Be prepared for long waits and shortages. I really can't describe this further.

Never go here on a weekend the inside is no better than the drive thru wrapped around to the road. Expect to spend at least 20-30 mins depending if they mess up your food then you have to come back and swap it out. 3rd time in a row this all has happened. I tried to order a chicken sandwich at the drive through and I couldn't hear the person who was supposed to take my order. So I drove up to the window and the employee working the window at around 2:30pm became very rude and belligerent to me and my son, she told us to go back around and place your order. We told her that we had been in car line for 10 minutes and please just take our order now, she said in a rude tone No, it's the rules. Get back in line and I'm not taking your order. Here's the thing, she was the person taking all the orders! Her manager comes to the window and spoke very rude to us too, she was talking very loud and said if you want to order you will follow the rules, so go back around and place your order there. I asked her for her and the employee's names and the manager on duty at 2:30pm on 4/18/20.The manager then closed the window on us. I would have just left but my son was hungry so we got back into the line and ordered the sandwich. Once we got to the window the second time, the hateful employee handed my son the bag with the sandwich and than started yelling at him saying son, you didn't need to snatch the bag out of my hand! My son didn't snatch the bag and she knew darn well he didn't. Is this how Popeyes corporate wants their employees to treat their customers? If they wanted to they could have taken the order at the window and we could have our sandwich, rather than argue with us. read more

Again...I don't expect much from fast food drive through restaurants except, that the food is served relatively fast and that I get the food I actually requested. We were driving through this small town of Clewiston. And decided to pick up some Popeyes for our road trip home. Fast, easy and good food, for the most part. I ordered 3 piece chicken tenders and rice and beans and my husband ordered shrimp po boy sandwich. Easy enough. There was maybe 4 patrons inside and the place looked somewhat empty. After paying, we were told to pull over and wait. Ok, no problem. We were one of 4 cars waiting. There was one blonde girl who seemed to be the only working, bringing out the food to the waiting cars and was apologetic. After 20 minutes, I get off with another person with the same situation. Inside, it looked like the manager was having a party. Nobody was cooking, all the other employees were just talking with what looked like the manager. She seemed annoyed when I asked for my food. I don't know who owns this restaurant but they are lucky it is in a town with limited choices. Make the poor blonde girl the manager. She is the only one who cares anything about service. I will never eat at this location my chicken was under cooked they are very rude to customers and the Manager was sitting on his laptop and some of the staff was in the dinning room on there cell phones.
