We happened upon the Log Cabin on a drive by while visiting LaBelle. Great little spot. Warm and cozy with a real log cabin feel. Lots of country decor with nostalgic pictures on the wall. Log Cabin BBQ features incredible daily specials. All meals come with a bowl of chicken and rice soup. We had a full rack of smoked baby back ribs with two sides for only $19.99. Amazing! To be clear, this is a nice clean restaurant with very friendly service. I am giving this restaurant two stars because they changed their menu and how horrible the food now tastes, but that's of corse my opinion. They have drastically reduced their menu. They no longer sell fish dinners, fish sandwiches along with many other items. Every few weeks I went there and I always got the same thing. It's always tasted amazing. This time however it was awful. The sandwich I ordered had a chemical taste. The baked beans and fries were edible but weren't as good as usual. The man I was with disliked his food also. It's a shame because we both loved this restaurant. They must have changed something. I'm not insulting this restaurant. Food outstanding. Went for a ride and found a true gem. We had the special rack of baby back ribs for $19.99 and 2 sides. The service was excellent. Had an ice tea which was freshly brewed. The ribs were incredible fall off the bone. I didn't care of the cole slaw but the fries were great. Next time will order a different side. We are looking to go back -- we live about 2 hours away and never ever mind to take a ride for a great meal. It is a shame that Palm Beach County have no restaurants this good read more

This place rocks! The food is amazing the service is stellar and the prices affordable. I will go out of my way to eat here again if I'm within a hours drive. I got the brisket sandwich which was delicious and filling with a side of coleslaw that was just as good. I should have tried the beans I bet they are out of this world. My wife got the pulled pork and I tried a bit of it and wish I had more room to eat the half she couldn't. She also got fries and there the good crinkle cut type that are made to eat with the delicious bbq sauce they have. My kid got the chicken fingers that looked home made and not the frozen stuff so many other places serve. I can't tell you how they were she ate them all. So I guess they were good. The customer service was out of this world nothing special just good. Checking on the table to see if we needed anything more then just once which seems to be the standard these days everywhere else. Amazing BBQ restaurant in Labelle, Florida. We all loved the corn nuggets, it had hints of sweetness. Our waitress was nice and attentive. Once we placed our orders, the wait time for our food was decent. I enjoyed sitting around the corner, it wasn't loud so we all could have conversations. We were a group of 6 and everyone thought agreed that the portions were good, food was delicious and well priced. My son can't stop from thinking about their ribs. Every meal comes with soup and ice cream but unfortunately when we went a around 7pm they ran out of soup. Maybe next time we will get there earlier to try it. Came by on Memorial Day with nine others on motorcycles. They had plenty of parking and tables to handle our group. We showed up around 11:30 so by the time we left the place was packed Our food all came out together and wow. Tasted great! They played today's Country hits which I loved. I ate half chicken white meat with beans and slaw. The chicken had true smoked flavors and if you're not scared of spice try their hot BBQ sauce. Give a nice kick. They were very small, dried out and some of the meat was even crunchy. Green beans were ok. Coleslaw is similar to KFC, but sweeter. A little too sweet. Comes with Texas toast. It's bland though. My hubby and Iove coming here. It is always warm and cozy here. Our server Allison was exceptional. She asked if we wanted to try their homemade Brunswick Stew. We agreed and she brought us each out a small bowl. Warmed our tummies and oh so yummy. We enjoyed it so very much that before we left we made sure to get a quart to go for our dinner. It consisted of pork, vegetables and a tomato base. We both ordered their Belly Buster hot dogs which came with two sides. I got mine with freshly homemade Cole slaw & French fries my hubby got his with homemade coleslaw and macaroni & cheese. The hotdogs were 2 total jumbo really big all beef hotdogs. We got everything on ours. Melted cheese sauce was added to his dogs. The dogs were out of this world. Perfectly prepared and popped when you bit into them served on a freshly grilled/toasted buns. Our bellies were just about ready to burst when our sweet server asked if we wanted to have a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Thats a no brainer free soup before dinner and free dessert better go for it. 2nd time here. Place was ok. Definitely understaffed. We walked in and couldn't sit because just about every table was dirty with dishes. But overall ok. Servers were pleasant but apparently busy. our soup was a bit on the salty side. Son had the fried chicken (overcooked), wife had the pulled pork (was ok), I had the chopped steak (was ok). Food came out fairly quick so that was good. Place was bustling so that was good. The bbq sauces were also good. Would surely give them another try, and other entrees just to see if maybe I was was mistaken. The ambiance was definitely geared for families and I will definitely give them another try. Terrible service by the staff. They waited 15 minutes to come take our drink order, didn't have Pepsi. Waited another 15 minutes to get our order taken, they don't have ribs which is what our party of 6 was all ordering. It's not an issue that they're out of specific drinks/food but you could lead with that and not make people wait to give them bad service with an attitude. Save yourself the headache and go one minute down the road to Labelle Brewing where they have good food AND service. read more

Was at the cabin about 3 weeks ago and when I ordered coffee I was told they quit serving coffee. Coffee is a must for me so I guess I won't be going here anymore. Actually I quit going to the cabin a couple of years ago due to a couple of reasons which I won't state here but came back twice since but when I couldn't get coffee it was disappointing. The Log Cabin BBQ is located on State Rd 80 in downtown LaBelle Fl. The restaurant is in a rustic looking log cabin and they are only open for takeout right now. I came to get a birthday picnic lunch. I guess you can call ahead but I just pulled in and my server came and took my order. I picked the beef brisket sandwich with two sides for $12.99 with the fries and slaw and I added a sweet tea. Things could have been a little more organized with the curbside pick up. People were pulling in anywhere blocking other people in. In finally worked out so that everyone was driving around the building. I took my food to a nearby park for my picnic. The portion was large. The sweet tea wasn't sweet and watered down. The brisket was overly salty but had good flavor. The fries were standard frozen, nothing special. The slaw was good as was the BBQ sauce. The view from the park was spectacular and my meal a little nicer. My main bone to pick with Log Cabin is that they are sneaking added fees on to their tab. They charge a 95 cent package fee and 20 cent convenience fee. I wonder if they charge normally charge to take your food to go. It isn't very much money but the principal. I tipped my server but adding hidden fees just didn't sit right with me. If I had eaten in I would have gotten free soup and dessert so I was already missing that. I could have just eaten the sandwich I made but I really wanted to support a local business that is struggling. I think their nickel and dime mentality is not reciprocal to their customers support at this time. Charge what you need to and don't hide it on the receipt. read more

The comments about inattentive service are spot on. I was here early first one through door and never been here before. They looked at me then after couple minutes said sit wherever you want. I ordered the 3 meat combo pulled pork, chicken, brisket. The meat had good smoke flavor but past that was very bland. The bbq sauce was decent nothing special. The coleslaw was pretty good but I wasn't a fan of the green beans. The food was a 3 1/2 to me probably would have rounded to a 4 for the purpose of this review if everything else was good. The service wasn't very good never got a refill and had to track someone down to pay and leave. Environment is the biggest issue they had so many flys I spent my entire meal waving them off my food and drink cup. It made for a frustrating meal personally I wouldn't go back just because of the flys. I can only imagine how many are sitting on the food in the back. read more

we stopped in on the way from the East Coast to Florida across to Marco Island and searched for barbecue near me. The log cabin came up. We are only a mile away. Looks like a hometown barbecue place from the outside and inside. It's just the same. Smells great smokers, right out back and the staff is super friendly, real casual and easy. Lots of locals inside. Sarah M. helped us, and she was a delight and very attentive. We were given each a small bowl of Brunswick stew, which was the soup of the day that tasted like a vegetable barbecue in a bowl. we ordered a rack of ribs, black-eyed peas and baked beans and a fried corn on the cob. The garlic bread was great. The ribs were fall off the bone and smoking hot when they came out, the corn was fried perfectly add a little salt was delicious. we both highly recommend this spot if you're ever down this way - good country BBQ!! read more

We visited on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. We were greeted by the server and immediately seated. The restaurant has a country charm. Wasn't too crowded and the tables are decently spaced from one another so there is ample room to walk and not bump into anyone. We were offered a sample of their Fish Chowder which was delicious. We enjoyed Babyback Ribs, Greenbeans, Fries, and Corn Fritters. My favorite was the Corn Fritters. The portion sizes were decent so we ate what we could and took the leftovers. Talk about customer service!! Between the food and the service, this little southern small town bbq joint deserves five stars and more. We came here after trying to visit another restaurant only to find it closed for a private party. This just happened to be the next closest yelp rated place in the downtown area. It was early -- around 11:30 am when we got here for lunch and the parking lot was already filling up. Seats in the first front room were starting to fill up as well. There was a large printed menu plus a number of specials written on a blackboard. I ordered from the main menu - a quarter smoked chicken and requested all white meat. It came with your choice of potato and one other side plus Texas toast. I selected a baked potato and pinto beans (which I was told had bits of pork in it, so perfect!). My husband ordered one of their daily board specials -- beef rib tips over rice. He got green beans, the veg of the day as his one side. It also came with Texas toast. While we were waiting for our orders, we were offered complimentary tastes of two different soups of the day. Each was about half a cup and quite good. My husband had their turkey soup and I had the other one, a fish chowder. They did this for everyone, bye. My husband's meal was perfect - very tender pieces of beef in a tasty brown gravy and well cooked green beans (like his mother used to make!) My chicken was a huge live and came with a piping hot baked potato in foil with butter and sour cream packets on the side and a small dish of the pinto beans. The chicken, unfortunately was not hot enough nor cooked through enough for me. When I asked them to throw it back on the fire, they instead took the chicken and replaced it with a new piece perfectly done. The manager came over to apologize. And hoped everything was okay. It was now. Then, since I was just starting to eat and my husband was done, the manager brought over a huge single pork rib so my husband could keep me company eating too! Wow! We had originally wanted to order a piece of their chocolate pecan pie. By the time we were done eating, they'd either run out of it or it was described incorrectly. They only had peanut butter pie which didn't appeal. So we said we'd pass on the pie. Then the waitress offered us complimentary dessert -- either ice cream or sherbet. I'm assuming this is standard too but not sure. My husband had some orange sherbet. As we were paying at the counter, I asked if they carried any other desserts. The manager said oh yes, they usually have banana pudding... Well, as that is my husband's absolute favorite, I said I had to get some to go. The manager tried to give it to us but we insisted on paying for it. As full as we were, we had a taste in the car. Yummy -- just like my husband's mom used to make with real bananas and vanilla wafers. Yum yum. Will we be back next time we are traveling across Florida on route 80? You bet we will! read more

Every year we meet friends for lunch here. The food is mostly good & our servers are long-time employees. This time we decided to picnic in a nearby park & do "take-out". Our order was straight forward nothing we haven't had here before. When we arrived the employee seemed slightly confused but polite. It took a very long time to get our food . When we arrived at our meeting place we all discovered missing parts to our order such as baked beans, sauce for our sandwiches, etc.... Check you tab for add ons, Went here today, food was awesome no complaints for food or service, I have a huge issue with the billing. I asked for tab ad it came out I produced my card, they came the portable machine, fool me I trusted the bill was correct which it was but there's a 3.5% convenience which I noticed but was not impressed who Carrie's cash all the time, but seriously when you hand me machine and it's already set up to do 20%25% or 30% then stand there I'm flustered so I do an automatic 20% for 2 beers and a share plate of ribs and side , then later at home I find you already charged a tip inly on the paper receipt do you advise to tip up this is not good totally underhanded in my opinion, left a bad taste in my mouth read more
