Every time I come here they're out of classic chicken or white chicken by 8:30pm. They don't close until 11pm but they just don't want to make anymore. They try to sell you dark meat under mixed or white meat prices. How are you going to offer 8 legs & thighs & charge me $25, then tell me that mixed is the same price? There's a special in the window that offers 3 pieces for $6, which is leg and thighs. So 5 pieces more cost another $19? That math ain't mathing.... If you don't wanna work until 11 and you start wrapping things up 2 1/2 hours before the end of your shift, you should just close at 9pm. read more

On August 29th, around 3:10 PM, I drove through Popeyes #12280 in Commerce, CA with my children (two of whom have disabilities) to grab food before heading to Knott's Berry Farm. We almost went to IHOP, but since Popeyes had no cars in line, we thought we'd be in and out quickly. What happened next was shocking. I placed an order through the drive-thru speaker, choosing items that were clearly displayed on their own menu board. The automatic ordering system said they weren't available, so I politely asked for a human to help. The person who came on was Natalia, the General Manager, and instead of assisting, she called me a liar and said the item didn't exist--while I was literally looking at it on their screen. She stopped responding to me over the mic, making me and my kids sit there confused and embarrassed. We finally drove up to the window to speak to someone face-to-face and even showed the cashier a photo with a timestamp proving the item was there. Natalia, still on the headset, reluctantly approved the order but never apologized. She acted like I was trying to scam them for free food, despite the fact I spent $38.97. I had my kids in the car watching all this unfold, and as a mom to children with disabilities, this was beyond unprofessional, humiliating, and unacceptable. No family should be treated like this, especially not by the General Manager of a national chain. Popeyes Corporate: this is how your store is being represented. If this is how a GM behaves, what does it say about your brand's values? I left feeling judged, disrespected, and ashamed for simply wanting to feed my kids. Do better. Train your staff, teach them empathy, and hold your managers accountable. Finally they open a Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen in the city of Commerce at the corner of Eastern and Washington Blvd. This Popeye's restaurant looks really nice from the inside the restaurant but the parking is small. I'd never been to a Popeyes before and decided to try out this newly opened location. Used the drive thru and took a bit of time choosing from the menu and also had a lot of stupid questions. The staff member was extra nice and patient walking me through all the choices, sides and sauces. She was super helpful and I'm sorry I didn't ask her name because she deserves a lot of credit! She went above and beyond and asked me "if I like spicy." When I replied that I do she said she'd put a another sauce in the order for me to try as she thought I'd like it. I was very unhappy with this establishment because I ordered a Diet Coke and got a regular Coke. As a diabetic this could've been a disaster. I called to ask about it and they said they were out of Diet Coke. How does one run out of Diet Coke please? I also didn't receive my sauce. I called and the only person that answered didn't give me anything more than an "oh". When explained why she said, "oh yeah I know". How? I work graveyard shift around the corner from this Popeyes, so I decided to stop before work to retrieve some food when I say that I have never in my entire life tasted something so disgusting. I couldn't even bite into the chicken. It was so hard when I opened it up it was brown in the inside the way old chicken looks the next day after you fry it. It looked like it was previously fried and it was just warmed up. I felt like I completely wasted my money. Second time coming to this location, I ordered from the drive-through. The girl was not paying no attention to my order, she had me repeat it three times while she gave horrible attitude! I don't understand why?! I went to the window and a girl named Abigail which I don't think she was taking the orders cause she didn't have a headset on and was "kind of nice" I seen another girl with a head set on behind her and was also able to see her name tag.
