Ok. So made a quick run to Popeyes. The drive thru is super slow from my past experience at this location regardless if there is only 1 car or no cars! So I decided to walk in to place my to go order. When I walkes in the manager was at the register. Then I heard her tell the young guy "Jason" to take the front and she took his place preparing the orders. I like Popeyes chicken to me its good. Buy I am rating based on my experience today and what I saw... I just want to take a minute to acknowledge "Jason" as I heard them call him, for his patience working with his co workers including the manager! After he took my order he took the others of course. Bu the whole time the manager wearinf the black shirt and an older woman co-worker of is wearing the same color shirt as he was continued to ask him to do different things. One asked for more cups, etc... while the other "manager" was telling him to prepare orders... The whole time I was waiting for my food theu just dis not stop. Jason did not look mad, annoyed, he actually was ver patient. I mean the one asking for cups and whatever else she asked for was not doing anything for standing at the register without a customer. She could have gone herself..idk... It just seemed to me they were asking for too much and they should work together! Anyway good for him having patience and my 4 stars are because of his willing attitude. Although the manager still mentioned to her other worker how you have to be with what she called "kids" refering to him. I personally would quit! But we all have our own necessities. read more

Very Poor Service -- Management Really Needs to Address This I'm not sure what is going on with this Popeyes location in Compton, but come on--the service has got to improve. I've been here several times, and unfortunately, the drive-thru gets an F from me. Every time I pull up, I can barely hear the speaker, and I'm usually told, "We'll be with you shortly." Then I sit there waiting...and waiting. On my latest visit, I even moved my car back and forth thinking maybe they couldn't tell I was there. Same thing. Eventually, I backed out of the drive-thru and decided to go inside and give the restaurant another chance. Unfortunately, it wasn't much better. There was no "Hello," no "Welcome," and very little acknowledgment that customers were even standing there. The employees seemed exhausted and were basically working on cruise control. I understand that everyone has bad days, and dealing with a rush of high school students probably doesn't make the job any easier, but customers are still paying for their food--and Popeyes isn't exactly cheap anymore. The dining area also needed attention and cleaning. After my experience, I took some time to read the other reviews for this location, and apparently I'm not the only customer noticing these problems. That tells me this may be more than just one bad day. I actually feel for the employees. We all need our jobs, and everyone has problems, but customer service still matters. A simple "Hello," "Welcome," or "I'll be right with you" can completely change a customer's experience. And to the owner/management: please take care of your staff and your facility. Maybe these ladies need a raise! Happy employees usually provide better service. Also, PLEASE fix the drive-thru. The speaker volume is extremely low, communication is difficult, and the faded plastic covering makes it hard to see anything. And maybe lower that A/C setpoint a few degrees--it might improve everybody's mood in there! Seriously though, management should spend some time at this location as a regular customer and experience the drive-thru and dining room firsthand. The employees may need better support, training, staffing, equipment--or maybe all of the above. I hope this review actually helps rather than simply criticizes. There is definitely room for improvement. I'll swing by again next year and give you another chance. If everything is still the same, expect the follow-up review! Good luck, ladies. Restroom had no lock on the door, flying insects, and very limited water downed soap, I think that's what was left in the container!! This is a high level SAFETY concern, as There is only one restroom for all including employees. For this reason, I will not be eating the food moving forward regardless how good it smells. Decided to give this location a second chance since its close to my home and i was disappointed once again. The drive thru service is horrible. Pulled up ask to give them a minute, and i was waiting for about 5 minutes until they finally took my order. I ordered 7 plain sandwiches and a large red beans and rice and i got 5 plain burgers and 2 with mayo and pickles. And again no red beans and rice. I called the location multiple time and no answer. NOTE: I will be reporting this establishment to the Health Department. I went in today 06/01/2026 and witnessed multiple violations. First of all the door to the establishment was wide open, with Flies visibly flying all over the lobby/dining area and kitchen. I literally witnessed flies flying over the chicken which was sitting out at room temperature after being cooked. Second, several food containers were open, without the lids placed properly and without anything to keep track of how long they have been sitting out, third, their were two employees literally discussing seeing roaches somewhere in the establishment! All the staff was very unprofessional. Based on what I witnessed, I strongly do not believe any of the employees have the proper knowledge or training on how to safely and properly handle food. Lastly, there was about 6 homeless/druggies loitering inside the lobby and in front of the establishment. They had bikes that completely obstructed the path for any ADA customers or customers whom may be in wheelchairs. This is a direct violation of ADA laws! I was too scared and frightened to ask for a refund. I literally threw my food away. Note, I ordered through the drive thru and they told me I had to pay in cash ... she said "oh sorry no card only cash" when I hesitated to see if I had cash she said "I know you got cash". When I didn't she said, fine you can come inside and pay...?! What's that about ... sounds fishy. Anyway I'm also reporting this to corporate. This establishment should lose their license to operate. If I could leave zero stars I would. Dirty location, bathroom looked like it was never cleaned with spiders all over the place. The food was not cooked fully with pink chicken, was 3 Hispanic workers (2 females, 1 male) who were speaking rudely and bad about the customers in the lobby. One customer got her food and told us that the 2 Hispanic female employees were talking shit about us in Spanish. Once we got our food which was 1) cold; 2) not cooked with pink chicken; 3) she gaves us the smallest pieces of Chicken and told us to keep moving. I told one of the employees she needs to not speak rudely about paying customers and if she has something to say she should speak it in English so we can hear. Host: MRG and her employee number 10022 told me she doesn't have to speak English and that she can speak Spanish and doesn't have to serve us in English. Then her and another female Hispanic employee started yelling, screaming and told us they are going to call the police when no criminal act occurred from our end but telling them to not speak rudely in Spanish about paying customers. The Host: MRG employee number 10022 proceeded to call me a bitch and told us to leave the restaurant. This is highly unprofessional, disposable and clearly racially motivated as all waiting customers except for one were not Hispanic. And they find different ways to do this.. me & my son went there a few days ago and we ordered a few meals and my son wanted a couple of their chicken sandwiches and when they gave us our bag they repeated the order and As they're handling it to us as we looked in the bag it looked like everything was there but when we got home the sandwiches weren't in the bag.. but I thought ok maybe it was a honest mistake and they were working to fast.. Now today I ordered two '' 2 can done chicken strip meals which is supposed to come with 6 chicken strips 2 biscuits and 2 sides.. 5 apple pies , chicken sandwich meal ,, spicy chicken sandwich, When I get too the window I look in the bag and there's 3 bags in the bag I look in the smaller bags and see the sides and some apple pies, I see the boxes with the chicken strip dinners and the other bag that has the sandwiches.. But when I get home and open everything there's 2 pies missing and the chicken strip meals (OMG) why did they (in both meals mind you) give me 3 full size strips and the other 3 supposivly strips look like they tore a chicken strip into 3 pieces????/ I'm so threw with my own City (Compton) when it comes to food service.. ...
