Popeye's (this particular location) has definitely become our "go-to" for fast-food fried chicken. No other fried-chicken-oriented place is as good in our opinion. This past Halloween had us placing an online takeout order for their new "Ghost Pepper Chicken Sandwich w/ Cheese" ($5.49 each), regular "Cole Slaw" ($3.49), large "Homestyle Mac & Cheese" ($6.99), & regular "Cajun Fries" (free, due to my having points on my account). The sandwiches were HUGE & very spicy in a good way. We loved them. Ditto everything else - especially the Mac & Cheese, which is definitely MUCH better than other venues, as they use/add cheddar to it, which melts into a nice gooey cheesy mess. Everything arrived home piping hot, & we really enjoyed every single bite. Bottom Line: For $23.89, we enjoyed a really nice quality comfort-foodie fast-food meal for two, & will continue to use Popeye's as our "go-to" when we're in the mood for this type of food. I understand if your busy but why tell us to wait for 7 minutes and waiting way longer on top of that messing up my order with two spicy chicken sandwiches instead of one classic and other spicy. On top of that, not giving me ketchup when I specifically asked for ketchup, spicy sauce, and black and ranch. I also asked for no bacon on my spicy ranch, knowing I specifically advised I was Muslim. I got no warning or got advised that they were busy or to bear with them. ordered a combo which the menu says includes a "Regular side, biscuit, and small drink". did not get biscuit. i politely asked for the biscuit, and when the cashier was about to give me one, some old lady comes out from the back saying "you didnt get a biscuit, it doesnt come with a biscuit." i point to her on the menu where it says the combos come with a regular side, biscuit, and drink. she insists i dont get one so i told her they should take it off the menu if its apparently incorrect. im on my period, upset, and just wanted the biscuit now i never want to come here again. most workers were very polite but that old lady was rude and made me feel stupid, am crying in my car in the parking lot. my family has come here before and never had a problem with a stupid biscuit. read more

Placed a mobile order and pull up to the drive thru menu and state my order number and they ask my name. I pull around to the window and I'm asked how can I help you? I say my order number again. Placed a drive thru order at 8:45pm on Wednesday, 05/19/21. Ordered a 4 pc platter which should have come with 2 sides (I ask for 2 red beans and rice), and 4 pcs one leg, one wing, one breast, one thigh. When I got to the window I ask the employee if he had put two red beans and rice in bag and he stated he did. That was a lie. Due to the long line, I pulled around front and had to go in to get the second side order. When I got home and opened the chicken box up, I found that they had given me 4 wings instead of the right order. In addition the chicken wings were old and dried out. So they lie and are to lazy to cook fresh chicken. They just threw whatever they had left in the box. I tried to call the store and the answering machine said the mailbox was full and to hang up. This is what happens when you hire help that just don't care. AND THEY WANT A RAISE? Give me a break. There is a KFC and a Chic-Fil-A close to them so you would think they would do better to get my service. read more

Very slow drive-thru service and even worse food prep. I ordered a chicken tender combo with Diet Coke and biscuits. When I got up to the window, the cashier said that they were out of Diet Coke and asked if I wanted a substitute. I told her "no" and she took the price off for the drink. Have employee my credit card. Waited for about 2 and 3 minutes. As she handed back my card, she informed me that the spicy chicken sandwich needed one more minute to cook. Five minutes later, the same employee said that my chicken tenders needed five more minutes. There was a line of cars starting to form behind me. She gave us the option to wait by the drive-thru window or parking in the curb-side pickup spots. My husband and I ended up parking in the curb-side pickup spot, but that kind of defeats the point of drive-thru service, in my opinion. Once the employee at the drive-thru window came to the curb-side parking spot, we got our food and went on our merry way. The whole experience, from placing our order to eventually receiving the food took about 20 minutes. Everything was piping HOT (which is good!). My husband commented that his spicy chicken sandwich was a little too heavy on the sauce (and this is coming from a guy who doesn't mind spicy things. I am giving this particular Popeye's a 2 out of 5 star rating; the "fresh from the fryer/oven" food was the savings grace of what would have been otherwise a 1 star rating. Suggestions for improvement: 1. Have enough inventory of Diet Coke, particularly on weekdays where people are getting late lunch. I would understand if this happened on a weekend, but on a Thursday? Or have Coke Zero available. 2. Have popular items ready, particularly the insanely popular spicy chicken sandwich. 3. There needs to be an upgrade on the drive-thru speaker or better headphone equipment for the employees. Very difficult to hear the person speaking. 4. As a gesture to the hungry customers waiting for slower-than-average drive-thru service, maybe offer them a coupon or a free item like their chicken bites/nuggets, something that shows the customer that they are appreciated for their patronage. read more

We stepped into New Orleans (knaw-lins) for a minute. The restaurant was clean & festively decorated for the holidays. The music was catchy. The employees were nice. We were running errands & recharging. There was a $5.00 lunch special. Hubby got a drumb stick, a chicken breast, a giant portion of fries, a biscuit and an extra large drink. Partly may fault for not checking the bag and also the people who run the window for checking the bag before it goes out. Let me start off by saying the food here is absolutely fine. I have no problem with it. The service on the other hand is horrendous. I'm not sure how Popeyes trains their staff, but they don't seem to place any emphasis on a sense of urgency. The people at this location move like molasses. It is not uncommon to wait 20+ minutes in line and an additional 10-20 minutes to get your order. There is a line from the register to the door and it doesn't seem to phase anyone working here. Also, having one person working on register for 30+ guests is neither efficient nor practical. Fast food this is not. None of the employees every smile or look pleased to be there. I can understand not being ecstatic about a minimum wage job, but take some darn pride in your work for crying out loud. read more

I HATE KFC... jst thought I'd throw that out there first off. Oh my Popeyes how I love you let me count the ways. Okay so I'm not going to count them really. This is seriously one of the better Popeyes I've ever been too foods always hot and the staff is so nice. Popeyes in general make the worlds best onion rings. No seriously, if I was told that onion rings would becoming illegal I would be at Popeyes everyday till they couldn't sell them any longer. And their chicken isn't greasy and it's so crunchy it's like mind blowing. Add to the fact you can get spicy and it's actually kinda spicy that you can feel it on your tongue and back of your mouth. Draw back... No matter if you go inside or do the drive thru expect to wait. It's just something you come to expect from Popeyes. It sucks but items like onion rings are always made fresh. The food is good but the staff varies. I prefer drive thru, but be prepared to wait. I once waited over 15 minutes for my order - along with 4 other cars. I understand "fresh chicken", but c'mon. I've been in the restaurant part a couple times, but the last time was when one of the employees behind the counter was so incredibly rude I couldn't believe what had just happened. She asked if we "was" ready. We said we needed a couple more minutes & motioned for the other people in line to go ahead. They weren't ready either so she had something smart to say about that. Then, as both of our groups stand there, she starts making comments about being ready when we are & telling us to take our time, all in a very nasty tone. The other group was ready to order & they stepped up to the counter - we decided we'd rather eat at Arby's. We turned to leave & she yelled "where y'all going?" & I said "anywhere but here" as I walked out the door. She replied in her nasty tone, but I was already out the door. & a manager was there the whole time! I've never had a bad experience in the drive-thru, but it took me a few months to even go back through the drive-thru after that. read more

After waiting in line for 35 min they told me they were waiting on 'A' chicken sandwich (mind you I ordered 3) and for me to go park and it would be right out. I waited another 16min, still no food. Compared to the other Popeyes, this place is bad. The chicken portions are tiny/baby like compared to others what you're supposed to get with the price you pay. It's like they're trying to be cheap by buying cheaper and smelling chicken, while selling them at the regular price. The green beans tasted like water and the rice was cold and, in the words of my partner, "tasted like garbage". Not to mention the security camera is pointing to exit sign and certificates on wall. read more

Food was good, but we had a LONG wait to order even though we were the only ones in the entire restaurant.
