I go to this Popeye's Chicken often. More than half the time it's not correct or the service struggles. Today the lady was very sweet I made my order after I paid for it she said I need to pull over it's going to be 15 minutes while we drop the chicken. I was in a hurry I have had them to tell me before it's going to be 15 or 20 minutes we got to drop chicken. That would have been handy today I didn't want to cause a scene and go in and get my money back so I waited and I'm late for my appointment. After 12 minutes, I was told it would take 7 minutes to cook the chicken filet. I asked why it hasn't already been dropped since I ordered it 12 minutes ago? I have never had a problem with this location. My food has always been on point, and today GRUB HUB messed up my delivery not ONCE, but TWICE and Ms. Faye was very concerned and understanding. Not to mention I called during lunch rush - I was not rude but she understood my frustration. Finally after ordering on the APP through delivery my food arrived, hot, fresh and delicious. Service was terrible. Was told I was unable to cancel my order that was placed at this location. While speaking with a worker they hung up in the middle of the conversation. I made a turn around trip, about 15 minutes back out of my way, and went to pick up my food. When I arrived it was NOT ready. I was told to pull forward and waited for about 10 minutes before going inside to find they had NOT begun to fix my order. After addressing the issue the attitudes of the staff did not improve, nor did I see heads or tail of a manager in the facility. Service was TERRIBLE. Went to the 570 Schillinger Rd., Mobile drive thru. I ordered the 2 pc. Classic With Red bean/Rice. When I received my order, after waiting 14 Mins., there was No napkins in the bag. I asked about the Napkins and the lady who brought my order to my car told me I would have to come inside to get napkins. I asked to speak to a manager. When the manager came out she said "Management stated not to give Napkins to customers unless they ask for the Napkins. This was at 5:53 P.M. So, it's a chain. It's crispy, spicy fried chicken. It's cheap. It's quick and convenient. Our favorite former Joe's employee (my son's "twin") is an assistant manager there, so the service is great. What's not to love about Popeye's? They have some of the best mashed potatoes and gravy and probably the best biscuits. The chicken and sides are fresh and don't taste like they've been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. You can't eat a gourmet meal every night, so why not throw Popeye's into the rotation? read more

I came to this Popeyes in Daphne Alabama on 1/24/20 at 8:30 pm . I ordered a 3 piece chicken dinner #3 no drink . The mashed potatoes had a weird taste to them . When I got my order at the window it was half Hazard thrown in the bag / box . The box wasn't even closed Properly. So as the counter attendant was getting my change I from previous experience with this location was checking my order before I drove off . They only gave me 2 pieces of chicken . As she reached over to give me my change I told her . She took the box and told the kitchen help she needed another piece of chicken . She finally had to go back and get it . As she did it a manger was standing from a distances looking at me . I smiled at her she pulled her glasses up and on to look better . I thought this is weird . So I finally got to leave . When I got home taking the food out of the box which still wasn't closed right . At the bottom of the box was a chicken leg ate off of . Now I see y the manger/ idiot was looking at me weird she thought I was trying to get a extra piece of chicken free and they put a piece of chicken that was ate off of in my box . It all went in the garbage at that point . I thought trash goes in the garbage but no they work at Popeyes in Daphne Alabama which i will never go there again and will surely tell anyone do not go there . I ordered bone-in 3 piece mild dinner and kept finding pieces of chicken bone that splintered off in several bites. I spit bones onto my napkin which I found annoying. I went inside to place my order and After standing in line for a few minutes, I was approached by an employee who instructed me that I would have to leave the restaurant because they were short handed. I asked if I could purchase a "to go" order and she said no, that I would have to get in the drive through line If I wanted to buy food. I understand, with covid-19, that you are suppose to place online order if you don't want to wait in the ridiculously long drive thru line but when you call asking if they take phone orders and they tell you yes and you place order and still have to set in drive thru for them to tell you to go to curbside pickup then... they come out and say that dont have your order because they dont take phone orders well, yeah that's BS. Surprisingly Good!. Fried chicken is one of those favorites that I don't allow myself to have often. Past experiences at Popeye's have typically been sub-par, but the Daphne location does volume, and the chicken that I had was hot fresh and flavorful. My family and I attempted to eat at Popeyes in Daphne tonight but we were unsuccessful. We probably should have left when a couple announced to us when we entered the restaurant that, "they just gave our food away." Our cashier 'mumbled' almost incoherently while we ordered tenders and a regular combo of chicken, nothing fancy. We waited for our food for 19 minutes before we were given an update on our food. They told us that it would take an additional 10 minutes before our food would be ready at which point we asked for our money back and we went to Zaxbys where we were promptly served our food. My wife and I love eating at Popeye's in Daphne because it is consistently fresh, clean, friendly, well managed, has really fast service, all done with a smiling clean crew. The food is usually ready and waiting as soon as you get thru paying. It is always FRESH! We haven't found any chicken any better (we like the spicy).
