Came in as soon as they opened. The dining area was clean. I went with a 3 piece spicy (white meat) and it was good. I also got 2 jalapeños, that's a MUST!! I write in the past about the Edgewood Popeyes and how rude the manager was. I thought things might have changed but see they are just as rude as before. I went back to try and see if any change was noted. I am sad to state nothing has changed. I wanted to use a coupon that stated buy a chicken sandwich and get two piece chicken for $3.99. When I ordered the coupon would not open for coupon number. Instead of helping me the manager kept insisting it was mobile order only when it was for mobile or in store use. The manager again was rude to customer. Snd to make matters worse - I ordered a order of popcorn shrimp and getting home the order was horrendous. I received 10 pieces of shrimp and several pieces of cooked dough. I have never been treated this poorly at other stores. I love the food at Popeye's (and it was fresh) so I won't give this one star, but our experience was still pretty bad, so I think it's deserving of two stars. We got there at about 4pm and it took forever for the employees to even realize that we were there. Then, when I ordered a combo meal, they didn't ask which type of dipping sauce I wanted nor which type of drink I wanted. There were about 6 employees working and we were the only customers, but it still took them a long time to prepare the food. When we finally got what we had ordered, I was given a coke. I was never asked which type of drink I wanted, so I asked if I could actually have sweet tea instead of coke. The employee appeared to be agitated once I said this and he reluctantly took the coke away. I guess they just assumed that I would want coke for some reason? Once we left the place with our food, I realized that they had thrown some BBQ sauce packets into the bag. I would have wanted ranch as my dipping sauce, but of course they never asked. At this time, I also realized that they had given me unsweetened tea instead of sweet. I wouldn't blame the young employees for these shortcomings, but I am placing the blame on management for not paying much attention to the way their establishment is run and to the satisfaction of their customers. It took them 30 minutes just to tell me they don't have any mild chicken and that they have to add spicy chicken to the meal. This is absolutely the worse location to swing by. My family and I ordered with the cashier, she was rude and inpatient. We were charged for sauces (mind you, we don't mind paying) but really? And they only gave us 2 sauces for a family of 7. While waiting for our food, I had to wipe down the table before and after and they definitely saw me. They didn't give us utensils and/or napkins. This Popeye's is super clean and the staff was very welcoming. My 'dinner only' option came with a free soda which was a pleasant surprise. My only minor minor complaint is the distance from the highway! I saw the Popeye's sign on the road, and my stomach got the best of me. My friend and I definitely drove for well over 5 minutes to get here. While 5 minutes is a very short amount of time in the grand scheme of things, I was expecting the usual plethora of fast-food right off the exit! My spicy chicken was great though. It's been a while since I've been to a Popeyes. They've remodeled this location since the last time I came. It looks more modern and very clean. It seems they also remodeled their staff, because the last time I came, I remember very rude employees who clearly didn't want to be bothered with helping a customer. This time the staff was friendly. The service was fast; in and out within 5 mins. They didn't get my order completely correct though, but then again I should have checked before leaving. Easy access on and off of I-95. That's about all when it comes to the good about this location. There's ample staff to handle the customer base. One young man decided he was going to complain about the need to leave to get to his other job on time. Then this same young man was having a personal conversation with someone on his phone. The other staff continued to work and ignored him. My order was to go. Our food was placed in a tray like the orders that are eating in. Normally to go orders are placed in a closeable box. That didn't happen. If this young man is so unhappy with working here, then he needs to find another job. He's very unprofessional. If he's the supervisor then they need to rethink that. Mild chicken was order but one piece was mild and the other piece was spicy. One of those pieces was partially cooked. Yet both pieces were dripping with grease. I ordered two Classic Chicken sandwiches. I opened the bag and the smell was horrible. The chicken was spoiled and burnt. I contacted the manager and she said it must have been a mistake. Most of the reviews are negative, but I fortunately didn't experience any of the problems. The fish and shrimp combo (#12) was decent. It came with plenty of shrimp and two pieces of fried fish; both were okay, but the latter was a bit salty. The Surf and Turf combo came with a handful of popcorn shrimp and 2 small and skinny chicken tenders that didn't look like the 3-pc tender combo we also bought. I was more annoyed by the fact that the sign on the 95 made it seem like this place and other fast food joints were right off Exit 74 as if it was part of a rest stop. We usually like Popeye's chicken so we stopped while driving through Baltimore. Save yourself the trouble and dont make the same mistake. Two employees have unintelligible speech. I don't mean an accent, I have lived on the east coast my whole life. They dont speak understandably and I had to keep asking them to repeat what they said. I ordered from the Popeyes in Edgewood,MD and the sandwich that I ordered was not the sandwich I got. I wasn't concerned about the Schmidt Hamburger Buns because I didn't think it would make a difference I was wrong. In addition to the lack of brioche buns my spicy chicken sandwich lacked the regular amount of spicy sauce along with the pickles. DISGUSTING!!!! I am so absolutely unimpressed with this location it is not even funny. We came in to order some food for me and my boyfriend. Not only did the chicken take almost a half hour for me to receive when we got home the food was absolutely an abomination to edible food. the chicken was some of the driest sadest inedible disgrace I have ever had the displeasure of biting into.....The mash potatoes were cold stiff and gross. This is a place ripe for some process improvement. The food is standard Popeye's fare, but the speed of service is extraordinary poor. Two sandwiches and two drinks took 40 minutes. We could see our food, all they had to do was trim around and grab them. Ultimately it's not the staff's fault, they are in desperate need of training, defined processes, and leadership. My husband had to drive back two times because 1) they forgot to give us something we ordered and 2) when he got back and we sat down to eat together the sandwich's that we ordered were supposed to be spicy (clearly stated spicy on the receipt) and they were the regular ones. This is a rough Popeye's location. I gave them two chances recently, and had to wait almost 10min for my food each time. The first time I waited almost 10min and had to exit the drive thru and go back inside due to the food being ice cold. They offered me a different item because I would have waited for new food to be cooked. The second time I visited the drive-thru my order was filled incorrectly, but it was hot.
