They've got to do something about how people stand in line, would be so much better if there was a way to redirect the line. The way it is now, it forces people into the doorway and some people end up standing between the doors even though there aren't that many people in line. It's not pleasant. Raising Cane's is a household favorite. We can't stop eating it. Here's the thing, there are plenty of chicken spots but this one has a unique flavor and special sauce which pairs perfectly with the chicken and fries. You can get a nice meal for a very reasonable price. There's plenty of parking at this location and the line always seems to move quickly. As someone who is obsessed with Cane's, I had high expectations tonight when I visited this location in Towson. It's the first Raising Cane's even remotely close to where I live and as luck would have it I happened to be just close enough tonight that I could justify I visit. My order was fresh, prompt, and 100% accurate: the tenders were crispy, yet juicy and plump, fries crunchy, and the Texas toast had that balanced, buttery, supple texture you pray for. So as far as the food goes, everything hit the spot. The service was also on point, but Raising Cane's as a chain has a reputation for good service much like Chick-Fil-A does. The inside of this location is very lively compared to other locations I've been to on the West Coast. Maybe it's because Towson University is only a few blocks away, but I'm not mad -- the disco balls here and upbeat design makes for a really fun and pleasant dine-in experience. If I had one gripe, it would be that this location is walk-in only i.e. there is NOT a drive-thru. They do validate parking, but it would have been nice to know before driving out of the way to eat here. They also have a walk-up window outside if you just wanna grab and go. It's also worth noting that my visit here was on a Sunday night a little later in the evening so it's possible things get more chaotic during peak hours. I finally made it to try Cane's chicken in Towson. From my understanding this place is located mostly in the south. Also my understanding is that this chicken is by far the best and trumps any chicken place.. This place is located in Towson on York road and this area is quite busy. Upon my arrival I quickly learned that they did not have parking and they recommended parking in the garage a block over and validating your ticket. I managed to find a spot off the side street. When I walked in I was greeted by the host and they quickly took my order. I order the 3 piece tenders without the drink. I'm not a fan of crinkly fries but oh well... that's what they had. I haven't been eating bread but I had to taste the Texas toast because everyone raved about that. The bread was soft and had a good taste. So my thoughts... their food is several steps below Chick-fil-a. The anticipation was real to try this place after seeing line after line, all hours of the day, rain or shine! While my experience overall was great: -I ordered online (no wait!!) -Scored decent parking by the library -my order was ready timely and packaged well (drinks were even in a carrier ready to go) The actual food was a bit of a let down. I got 2 Caniac combos and an extra toast which was enough for 3 adults and a tween to get a good taste of everything. My parents enjoyed the coleslaw and we all liked the half and half, but the fries were lukewarm at best . I am sure my review will be a far better because I did not have to stand in line for the grand opening. We placed an online order earlier that day with the anticipation that there would be a long line! Low and behold, the line wrapped around the sidewalk by the Whole Foods entrance. I am not sure how long most of those people waited but when we got inside, all the tables were packed too so no seats were available and of course too cold to sit outside at 630 PM on a January night in MD. Our food however, was delicious and just how I remembered it! The cole slaw is probably my favorite because it's so chopped fine and reminds me of the old CFA slaw. Line is always long. Not sure if it'll get better after a few months. You can order ahead via app and pickup in-store. No curbside pickup since it's in the corner of a busy street. Some differences between your regular fast food chain: 1) The sauce - you can search for the recipe online if you liked it 2) The ambiance - ok they have the best with those disco lights 3) Tender, soft, juicy meat inside; but still crunchy outside! Not too many offerings on the combo menu, which is good so you can pick quickly! Side dishes and tenders are available for per piece purchase! Look at my previous reviews and you'll understand why me downgrading to four stars is such a big deal. I am a huge fan of this chain. And honestly up until now the service has been pretty darn good. Today they made an unforgivable mistake however. we ordered 75 chicken fingers and 20 orders of french fries for the Icu. One of our nurses went to go pick it up. When she got there, all the food was in one bag and she asked the clerk if this was everything. The clerk said that that was the entire order and so she left to bring it back to the hospital. I got a phone call after she had left from the restaurant stating they had left out 25, chicken fingers, and five orders of fries, and they asked if I wanted to come back and get it. I asked them how they expected us to send another person from the unit back there since we have to cover each others work in order to do that. They simply said "we don't deliver". I told them that I would personally be there soon and would expect to speak to the manager. Luckily, about two minutes later as I was getting ready to leave, they called back and said that the manager of the restaurant was going to bring the food to the hospital and deliver it to us. When my nurse arrived with the first portion of the order, I then realized that while they gave us ketchup and hot sauce, they had also left out the cane sauce. I had to call back and ask them to make sure to bring us cane sauce when they brought the other half of the order. This place consistently serves great food. Its always hot and fresh and the line moves quickly even during rush hour. I have been to this location several times both for take out and dining in. Both experiences are great. The prices are above average yet, worth it. My favorite drink is the sweet tea and I typically order the 4 peice meal with double toast instead of coleslaw. The tea reminds me of southern, sweet tea which is so refreshing. Apparently, they offer mobile orders and pick up but I haven't figured that out yet. The only con is parking. We finally have a raising canes that's not like a million miles away! Ive actually been patiently waiting for the opening date; however, when I saw the long lines the last couple months, I had to pass! People were literally standing outside waiting! The hyper is very much real. But I work about 5 min away from this location and got off work at 10am so decided to stop by right when they opened, i arrived around 10:15 and it was only like 2 customers in the restaurant, I got my food in less than 5 minutes. I ordered a 3 finger combo which came with 3 crispy tenders, crinkle cut fries, some delicious crispy Texas toast, a drink and canes sauce. It totaled out to be $11 with another extra canes sauce. The food was pretty good! The Texas toast was the highlight of the meal. Next time I'm definitely ordering 3 extra Texas toasts! The sauce was okay, it had a vinegary-sweet taste to it. The tenders weren't really seasoned but they were crispy and paired well with the sauce for some flavor. Fries were pretty basic. The restaurant is very clean and looks new. I love the details such as the disco balls embedded in the ceiling. I parked at the garage across from the whole foods, i was only parked there for about 10 minutes and it was free. But I did notice a garage right behind raising canes that says it's validated so that's another option. I would definitely return again! I have been to the new Raising Cane's location in Towson twice. The service each time was pleasant and quick. I also noticed that the managers tend to be upfront handing out food, which is nice to see. Each time I went I got the chicken tender meal with cole slaw and a sweet tea. The chicken tenders are always consistent on taste and size. The sweet tea is not overly sweet and very delicious. O and did I mention the cane sauce --- DELICIOUS. One of the best sauces I have had.
