This Popeye's has really received some unfair knocks from past reviewers. Hey, it's fast food, not fine dining, so get real about your expectations, folks. We ordered a full 12-piece dinner and our experience was TOTALLY AWESOME! The fried chicken, Cajun fries, butter biscuits and Cajun rice & beans were all cooked perfectly and delicious. Service was excellent, courteous and efficient. And, the restaurant was spotless clean, including the restrooms. This Popeye's hits a home run from start to finish. There are many fast food joints at this Colorado highway exit, including direct competitor KFC, but I can honestly tell you that this Popeye's location is your best choice! read more

I stopped in pretty late on July 3rd. These kids made some of the best Popeyes I've had in years. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. They provided great service even for an old grumpy guy like me. I wasn't being super friendly (two days of driving) but they were still extremely friendly and service oriented. They were laughing and having fun while making the food which made it seem like a nice place to work or get some food. They deserve some recognition for doing such a good job. read more

This restaurant cannot get its drive-thru orders correct. This is the third time we've picked up food and every time it has been wrong. The only thing they managed to get right was our drinks. You gotta try their blackened chicken! Most people have no idea they even sell it as it's not on the menu, but it's been available at every Popeyes I've been to. The only catch is they have to make it fresh each time you order, which doesn't bother me, but know it will take about 5 mins. I'm happy to wait. And if you didn't know, Popeyes has the best spicy fried chicken of all time. One last tip; ask for their "Cajun Sparkle" seasoning packets and mix it in the mashed potatoes. After returning home to find that my order was incorrect I tried calling the store twice with no answer. Then i tried the customer service website which failed on two occasions. I give up. Popeyes is not customer aware. They are looking to give you the least amount of food and charge for it, leave half the order behind and couldn't care less despite what there t.v. adds portray. I've eaten at this Popeyes a few times - Service has been fine, a couple of mistakes but nothing to get twisted about until yesterday. I ordered a couple of chicken sandwiches - 1 for dinner, 1 for tomorrow's lunch. The lunch sandwich had a piece of chicken on bone - not just a sliver, like a drumstick out of a bucket. I'm surprised by the negative comments, although we ordered drive-thru so maybe that has something to do with it. Rolled in, ordered a family meal and added on some shrimps. Didn't take too long at all (I don't mind waiting 20 min on something freshly fried but this was like 5 min max) and got hooked up with some sauces for everything which I really appreciated because not only was it an unholy amount of food but whatever was leftover came w/us (cause when don't you need a hot sauce packet in the middle of nowhere WY?). The spicy chicken is where it's at! Good as hell. Shrimps were heavily breaded but it's Popeye's, we're not on the wharf for golly gee's sake. It is what it is. My husband and I stopped at Popeyes in Firestone to pick up dinner on our way home to Loveland. They took the order four different times and got it wrong every single time we ordered two three-piece combos. My husband ordered a wing of thigh and a leg. I wanted two wings and a leg. Employee Samuel is an extremely rude person working the front cashier. Should be fired or kept in the back far away from customers. Worst customer service and obnoxious person I've ever met. He was so rude, snarky, impatient with ALL of the customers. Zero smile or friendly welcome. Either he was having a very bad day or it's his natural personality, which it seems the latter. We literally ordered and had number 55 and 6 customers BEHIND us ordered and got their food. He was on customer 61 when I complained about skipping my order. He had previously said we were next after 54 and pointed at and checked my ticket number, which was the ONLY one on the order line up. He then proceeded to skip over us up to 61. He then said we take the order in which we receive them. Well duh, 55 comes after 54. He continued to berate and complain while not getting our order ready. Not sure what his problem was with me, but he purposely skipped over our ticket to serve others before me. I know this because my ticket was the only order on the line up before the other customers even entered the store, he told us we were next after 54 while showing us our ticket, and checked it to give us our drink cups, which I had to ask for while waiting for the food order lol. If you want horrible, unfriendly, mentally unstable, customer service then go to Samuel's line. Sadly, he may be the only one at the front too. If you like to be treated with decency and good, friendly customer service, stay away from here, and like Samuel suggested go to KFC and other restaurants in the area. Well where to start. Worse experience ever. No ice for the drinks and it's 98 degrees outside. So We ordered 5 meals with warm drinks and shitty service. The girl who took our order was rude with zero personality. The floor was soaked when we came in. My daughter almost fell on her ass. We watched one worker pull the mop out of the water not wring it and slip it on the floor. That's an accident waiting to happen. We had to go back and ask for butter then when we were leaving my daughter went to ask for a to go box and the guy behind the counter was rude. The owners of this particular franchise need to walk in the door occasionally to see how run down and in need of a good cleaning is required. It's almost scary to eat here. The floors haven't been steam cleaned (grout is black) maybe since they opened. The lady's room is filthy and I can't imagine what the men's room is like. A favorite stop of mine while traveling I-25. Sadly a pain to get into. You have to cut through a gas station edge and past two other restaurants to get to. I've been stopping by here for more than a decade and they've always been nice, clean, and tastes just like Louisiana Popeyes locations I used to be accustomed to. We had a family birthday get-together and I was tasked to bring chicken. I called the day ahead and talked to Alisha (sorry if that's not right!). She very efficiently took my order, helped with the offer codes from their website, and was so friendly. The test, of course, was showing up the next morning and having my order ready. Waited in the drive thru for over 30 min the person couldn't get our order right over the microphone finally after 4 times repeating ourselves get to the window and everything was wrong. Had to go back wait in line yet again tell the assistant manager the issue. He didn't believe me and made me bring in food that had been bitten into and wanted it back. I absolutely love this Popeyes. Being my go to place for fried chicken, the other Popeyes just are not up to par to this one. The food is always fresh tasting and hot, and never dried out or feeling like its been sitting under a heat lamp all day. Given the volume and location right off the interstate I would expect this place to be dirty, but it really isn't. Its pretty clean and maintained and the staff is very helpful. Also being a fan of the seafood here, I have never experienced any issues with the quality of the shrimp of fish. I am always hesitate to get fast food seafood in Colorado, but not from here. It really is great. Overall if you are hesitant about the food don't be, it will be good and it is fairly cheap for the portions you get. I always leave full and satisfied. read more

I really enjoy the red beans and rice and the food. The problem is there is so little it that when you leave you are still hungry. This is not good considering how much it costs. I was here before and had a leg and wing that had virtually no meat. Had not been back since. Thought I would try it one last time and had the chicken strips and they were so small I was shocked. The three would be about the same as 1.5 in most any other place I would order them. The side portion of the red beans and rice was also small. Popeye's will not be getting my business in the future.
