Generally good food, prompt courteous service, dining room mostly clean (all tables cleared, most tables wiped, a fry on the floor). The #1 The Del Taco was well prepared and hubby enjoyed his chili cheese fries. They left out the rice in my bean and rice burrito, and since I took that to eat later Del Taco did not have a chance to correct the error. Rating would be one star higher without the burrito goof. Got the fries and drink of my combo correct but not the specialty burrito--was replaced with some random plain quesadilla. Also did not get a single other thing I ordered, just some crunchy tacos. Gentleman who took my order was very nice and patient. I asked for crispy well done fries and I heard him tell the cooking staff in Spanish to cook them more crispy. But nope just walking to my car grabbed a fry and dang it.. just warm, not Hot and crispy at all. This is the 4th and last time I will eat Del taco here in Colorado. Do not go here for any reason. Horrible service issues and bad quality food when I went. Went through the drive through and ordered food, it took longer than any fast food I've been to in the whole area. This is the WORST Del Taco EVER. No exaggeration here. Every time i come to this one we end up spending 30 minutes in the drive through. Our trip this morning consisted of the woman taking forever to take our order (kept saying "what was that?" "You wanted a coke?" --- we wanted a Diet Coke). It took us 15 minutes to get from ordering our food to the window where we proceeded to sit for another 15 minutes. The employee working the window was proudly showing the spider he caught in a cup to the rest of his coworkers. After a 28 minute wait for an Epic Burrito, which is what I normally order because they are usually so large, I got one the size of their Chicken Roller. So small! Ordered the tamale pack this last weekend. 1 dozen for $22.00. First, I think I am a tamale snob and will go to any lengths to get a decent dozen, aside from making them myself. This is a one n done for me. The flavor of the meat is seasoned well and the masa is good. My concern is the price. Pretty hefty payout for the size and portion of pork in each tamale. If you want to waste 30+ minutes in line, this is your lace. I stood inside and watched them throw away probably 50 tacos/burritos while drive thru and I waited on orders. Apparently what they were making wasn't the right thing? Second trip: Sat in drive thru while the same car waited to place an order for 10 minutes before I left (line was 5+ cars). Love all the veg options, but often have issues with my order. Flat drinks, replaced with flat drinks...? Floppy undercooked fries... Recently I stopped in to try the Beyond Avocado Taco. The shell was basically full of lettuce. It contained a scant spoonful of Beyond Meat and a sliver of avocado, it was mostly lettuce and cost $3! I normally don't write reviews about fast food places, but this is literally the worst one I've ever been to. Not the worst Del Taco, the worst fast food restaurant. EVER. When we first moved to Longmont (a year ago) our first 3-4 visits were great. Older women worked the drive thru and were so nice, and so efficient. Our order was right & served quick every single time. The past 3 times I've been (over 3 months), it's been a joke. Two of those times, I LEFT WITHOUT ANY FOOD. The first time, we sat in the drive thru at the box waiting to order for 11 minutes, I know because I counted. Twice I asked to order, and the person said "please continue waiting". So we left, along with 4 other cars. The second time we ended up ordering, but the entire time from order to receiving our food took 15 minutes at least, and when we got the food, the order was 100% wrong. So we had to wait another 10 minutes for the right order. The third time (why I went back, no idea), I went inside hoping it was different. I ordered and waiting 20 minutes. No food, no sign of any food. There was a couple in front of me STILL waiting and the drive thru line was going incredibly slow. I asked for a refund and left as soon as I could. When I was inside, it wasn't that the employees weren't working or were working slow, they just didn't have enough staff. It looks like they are trying to do more things from "scratch" so it takes longer, but it isn't working. While I was in the restaurant, several people came back up after they got their orders because they were wrong or missing something. I've gotten food faster at every other fast food restaurant, fast casual like Chipotle, and even sit down restaurants. Management here needs to figure it out. read more

ok, its so weird for me to write about a fast food place, especially as a vegetarian, but I have been so delighted to finally find a place that has decent junk food. I am thrilled that this place doesn't get me into a taco-hell loop going to the bathroom the rest of the day!!! Their black beans & rice are vegetarian and what I order (tho it gets a lil costly) is a "meatless" del taco substituting black beans for meat, and adding rice, jalapenos, cheese, lettuce and their pico de gallo salsa in a crispy crunchy shell. Its everything I remember a great junk food crunchy taco being back in my old meat eating days. Crunchy with flavor! I was so delighted to discover their pico de gallo is SUPER tasty !!! The tacos end up costing more than I want to pay tho, so I am going to experiment with getting sides of some of the ingredients to get more bang for the buck. For example, the pico de gallo add is 40cents PER taco, and there is seriously like, 10 pieces of tomato on the top. That is a ridiculous over charge. I want to find out how much one small side of pico would be and then just add it myself. The rice is 60cents add per taco, which isn't terrible but can add up, and if a side of rice is only $1.00 or a lil more, again - should I just be building this myself after the fact??? However, regardless, I am in drive thru heaven finally. I can NEVER eat at Taco Bell because I always get an upset stomach after, so this has been awesome & I digest all the noms just fine. Anyway - Vegetarian alert - get over to del taco when you want a change & don't be shy to customize your taco because they give zero shiiiiz and will totally help you out. I would give it this place a 3 1/2 but I don't think I'm allowed to give a half star. The meat is way tastier than Taco Bell! I order the carnitas fries and it was actually really good! I didn't find any gooey pieces of meat, it was tasty and had shredded goodness with cheese and sour cream and chives, maybe cilantro too. I would definitely choose this place over Taco Bell. This place had more choices, like burgers..... My bf ordered jalapeño poppers and said it tasted way better than Sonic's, which is the only other place he gets them. I realize it is fast food, and not a restaurant. Why I usually don't do reviews of fast food places, because they are that, and typically excel in their lane. But my husband LOVES this place, and he is so sweet with always going to where I want to go. Tonight, after he discovered the Plates on the menu, I figured we needed to try it. I had the street tacos plate, and he had a wet burrito plate. I was actually impressed, prompting me to write about it. First I was surprised at the amount of food for the price! Next, the chips are light and the salsa is really good, a roasted salsa that I thought had great flavor. Large amount of filling in the tacos, including real, nice slices of avocado, no skimping here! Rice and beans. The rice was plain white with added pico, the beans at least had some sauce and melted cheese, but certainly tasted more like beans in a burrito not what you find at a restaurant, but that said...it is fast food. So, I give it a thumbs up, when in need of something better than Taco Bell but don't have time for sit down restaurant, these plates are really good! read more

I love me my del taco. It's quick, consistent (except for the one on blackstone in fresno), and it's cheap! I love this one, cause it is half way between denver and fort collins (kinda....) Quick in and out, quick on and off the highway. It appears others have had a bad time, but i think they are over-expecting. The bar was set low for this fast food taco joint that I'd only ever seen in the "fré-shavacado" viral video, but it was the closest option to our hotel. Though fast food is definitely not my favorite type of fare, this was excellent. The seating area was clean and the workers were helpful when I had questions about every menu item. This was my first Del Taco experience. Expecting Taco Bell quality going in. I'm trying to eat at all of the low to middlebrow fast food places as possible nationwide. Maybe it was low expectations or the really bottom of the barrel reviews for this location. But I thought the food was really good, tried a few different items and the potatoes were great. Good value, and my service at about 10:00 at night was fast and friendly. Now that I'm back in Wisconsin, it will be awhile until I get to another Del Taco, but I'm looking forward to it already. My first negative review, but I think this del taco is in competition with itself to see if they can make each meal worse than my previous visit. This time, my quesadilla had melted cheese but without the green chili's, over cooked so that the tortilla hardened to a degree that made it inedible. My red been and cheese burrito also had over cooked tortilla somehow with about half an ounce of cheese and zero red sauce- but the beans seem to be plentiful and cooked well. I tried to feed my fries to my dog, which were soggy, cold and metallic tasting, she wouldn't touch it. It seems like the more and more I go to this Del Taco the worse it gets. I have been here a total of three times and each meal gets worse. The second time I was here the food just tasted bad. The third and hopefully final time I had stomach trouble after eating the tacos for about a day and a half. I don't think it is just here at this Del Taco where this problem presents itself. It's Del Taco... what else can I say. The food is comparable to Taco Bell, but their sauces have a bit more zing. Additionally, Del Taco is open 24-7.. WINNING! If you're looking for an inexpensive bite to eat Del Taco is currently offering 4 tacos for $2... not a bad deal for lunch or that 2am pick-me-up after partying in Denver. My family and I love the items on your menu but your stores cannot get our order correct. This is not a sporadic issue, it happens literally every time. We have wised up and begun checking our bags before leaving, often having to be insistent with your staff that they did not load everything into the bags. This last visit the staff missed over half the order and after calling 5 times finally got ahold of an employee to quickly passed me off to the store manager who claimed to write me a literal "I owe you". Everytime I write to the feedback section on r the website I get a $5 dollar voucher and a generic sorry letter probably from a computer. The solution to this problem is easy. Everytime we use the drive thru we observe 2-4 employees behind the counter literally staring on their phones. Speaking to these same employees feels like you are asking them to go out of their way to do something simple. Like the title says, this is a last ditch effort to save a prime location from being ruined by poor policy and a clear lack of leadership. I rarely write reviews online but we keep getting disappointed by very visible, simple neglect. If you are going to eat here, I encourage you to check everything you order and to not be afraid to be "difficult" to get what your hard earned money is buying. Got another round of "on the road oh god we're in a hurry" food for the family and I tried the fish tacos and tacos al carbon and DAMN were they better!
