8/1/26- I ate the only special available today at this Popeyes. It was a bit small but I didn't expect much for 5.00 USD. The chicken strips were perfectly cooked and tasty. The biscuit was small but it was packed with flavor! My snack didn't come with any sides and at 4.49 USD. for a small one I decided to pass. The iced tea was as good as the tea at Bojangles and perhaps slightly better! I tried this Popeyes on the recommendation of my Super Yelp Friend: Paige C. of Springdale, AR. I stopped at this location traveling back home. The customer service from the young lady working the drive through was beyond excellent. She was very pleasant and sweet. I ordered an 18 piece wing so i knew there would be a wait. She apologized about the wait and still was super sweet. The food was nice, hot and fresh. Terrible experience. Ordered a two piece combo with white meat. The girl behind the counter couldn't even explain they didn't have any white chicken breast.. She had to get the manager to explain. Wanted coca cola as my drink they didn't have that either. Paid with cash and the girl behind the counter couldn't figure out what change to give me. I had to tell her how to make change. We were excited that we finally had a Popeye's in our town. I went there tonight after checking out the menu on-line. The menu had a 3 piece chicken tender dinner with a biscuit and side for $5.95. When I ordered from the drive thru, my dinners of two 3 piece tender dinners came to $28.31. I complained to the manager who told me their prices don't always match with what is on line. I can accept a dollar difference, but they charged me almost 3 times the on-line menu costs. I gave them back the order and demanded a refund. We will not go back to this "fast food" restaurant as we can get two steak dinners for what they charge for 3 little pieces of chicken! It was deplorable and no apologies were issued. Worse possible restaurant ever.Myself and Coworker stopped in for dinner last night 1/19/25.At approximately 6pm. Wasn't overly busy no one even in dining room, except for one lady picking up her to go order. We were acknowledged, while they prepared to go order. But once her order was fulfilled we were never even approached about placing our order. Just looked at by the employees like they we waiting and wanting Us to leave. So at 615 after standing at counter We accepted the fact that they were not going to allow Us to order and We left. And NO they were not covered up in drive thru. Pretty terrible experience. Had to wait a long time to order inside. Cashier gave us a hard time about using a coupon on their app. They were out of corn. Said they didn't want to give us water because it was "nasty." Food given wasn't very fresh. Will avoid this Popeyes in the future. read more

Ordered 8 pieces of tenders and an ice tea, it was 28.75 dollars, didn't want to "waste time " to go to another place, so we paid. Cashier told us to park wait for our meal, waited 10 minutes finally went inside to check. Our order was packed and placed on the counter, no employees (they were busy joking around with each other) bothered to bring nor even tell us the order was ready. Wish we had "wasted our time " to other places. The chicken tenders were not comparable to other Popeyes locations. Went through the drive-thru and was really disappointed. Popeyes has gone downhill at almost all of their locations. There is zero attempt at customer satisfaction or to be polite. The entire experience is horrible from the excessively long wait in line to the mumbling, barely audible person taking the order to the person handing us our food without even a thank you. They should study how Chic-Fil-A does things. Get the customers out quickly and be polite. That's all it takes. It's not rocket science. I should also add that some employees were either not wearing masks or they were wearing them as chinstraps. read more

Well to be honest my wife & myself had just left KFC being very disappointed & felt like we was just "settling" for Popeyes, well we was wrong. The service was fantastic the associates was very nice & so was the manager. We ordered a 12 piece bucket, so we pull up to pay at the window & the associate tells us the price for a 10 piece & I bring it to their attention. Their manager overheard the conversation & confirmed to the associate that we did indeed order a 12 piece, however she only charged us for a 10 piece for the mix up. That wasn't necessary nor did we expect it either. We only had to wait about 10-12 minutes on fresh piping hot chicken, well worth the short wait. We had been to Popeyes a few times before & the wife & myself always look at how restaurants keep the area behind the lines clean & I must say Popeyes always has a spotless floor & work areas when we come by & visually look over the work areas. My husband and I went to the Gaffney location last night 7-24-20. We drove from NC because this is the closest location. We ordered the 16 piece meal with spicy chicken. We were told that it was a 45 min wait for spicy chicken. I'm thinking what the heck? So the lady taking our order said she could do half reg. and half spicy. Ok fine. We where supposed to get 3 large sides. We ordered 2 and she stopped us there. Ok fine not fine. Told us to park and they would bring it to us. 20 min. later came out to say waiting on biscuits. OMG. By now we're very mad. Got food , checked food, got even madder. Only 2 pieces of spicy out of 16 The sides were wrong. I will NEVER eat at this location again. My first Popeyes experience in 13 years, the only previous time being in Florida in 2006. Wife and I used the drive-thru and did the two can dine for $10 and got mild tenders. Chicken was glorious, crispy and nice and warm. Fries were crispy and warm. Biscuits were buttery and soft inside, slight crunch outside. Slaw was creamy with crunch. So the food was excellent. The initial service was not. Employee named Tyler was lethargic and rude on the speaker at every part of our order. When we got to the window and asked about sauce, Tyler was impatient and rudely kept saying 'speak up' when we discussed our selections. Tyler also charged us double price for our drinks from the sign that said add 2 drinks for $2 to the two can dine for $10. When we asked Tyler about it, Tyler got snippy with us and told us 'what, do you want a refund?' He had us pull up for our food, where we sat for 15 minutes waiting on chicken. My wife had to go in, where Tyler proceeded to walk away and ignore her. Finally, a woman asked my wife what she needed and eventually gave her almost a $5 refund. So we basically got the drinks for free. The food was excellent, but what we will remember is Tyler and the drive-thru rudeness. Clearly a bad attitude. Customer service problem. The other cars behind us sat forever, too, which we knew because we just pulled forward and ate in the parking lot in a space. Good food. Not fast food. Terrible service. After reading the prior reviews for this place, I was very hesitant to visit this location. If it weren't for the fact that this is the closest Popeyes location to Greenville, SC, I sure wouldn't have gone. Contrary to prior reviews, my experience was above average. The person taking my order was polite and took my order without haste. They were out of spicy tenders so I had to wait 5 minutes for the chicken to be cooked but this isn't the first time at a Popeyes that I had to wait for my tenders to be cooked. Once the tenders were cooked, they were provided to me quickly and so hot they were inedible until they cooled down. There were two TVs on in the dining area showing Law and Order. Kind of odd but I love Law and Order so that was fantastic too. Next time I'm hungry and passing through Gaffney, I'll be stopping here again. Maybe the other reviewers caught these people on bad days. I mean we all have bad days. read more

My chicken was grey under the batter and I have never saw grey chicken it must have been frozen multiple times because it was rubbery when I bit into it. The restaurant was not clean, the soda machine was out of soda, and they gave our food to someone else. Once we got our order the shrimp was cold and the chicken burnt. Just left this place with my family. It gets worse and worse every time, but tonight was the last straw. The staff did not have a clue about anything. The manager kept repeating how the lobby was closing at 10 and instructing the staff to lock the doors. She kept telling my daughter we'd have 10 minutes to eat. They got 2/4 of our order wrong. We were told we could not eat in the lobby after 10. That would have been impossible anyway because it took 20 minutes to get our order. The girl who took the order had no idea how to read the screen with the orders. It was very disappointing and a waste of money. We will not be returning and made sure some people we knew walking in that they should not waste their time eating there. read more

Wish I could rate food verses service but I can not. The food is good, or at least anytime I've eaten here. However service is a totally different story. The Gaffney location is almost comical in the service area. I donor think it is the employees fault because hey are always super nice. It has to the the food supply chain and corporate training. Plus is good food. Minus, always out of something and yes even out of chicken on more than one occasion. I have been waiting for a Popeye's to open in the Upstate. The restaurant was loud and busy but not crazy. I ordered the mild tender meal which included 3 tenders, cajun fries, a biscuit and a drink. The cost came to about 8 dollars. The customer service was lacking. As soon as I ordered a person was yelling my name. The cashiers were yelling at each other. The were confused with my order and actually gave we free green beans and mashed potatoes. The chicken was tender, moist, and had a little bit of heat. The fries were crispy and seasoned to perfection. The biscuit was light, tender, and fluffy and they have one of the Coke freestyle machines.
