It's been a long time since I've dined at a Popeyes chicken, and my first time at this location. This spot definitely does not have the southern hospitality you'd expect at a southern chain. Upon entering the cashier was less than welcoming and when we paid, they seem to have an issue with being able to accept cash and had to call the manager over to complete the transaction. From the start this entire experience was a bit questionable. I ended up ordering a three chicken strip combo with french fries. The chicken was just long, thin strips (of chicken?) and super breaded. Definitely not what I remember from my past experiences at a Popeyes. This is by far the worst Popeyes North Carolina has ever gotten. Every time I go there to order a simple meal they always are slow and mess it up. If I were to order an eight piece,they'd give me six tiny pieces,stripping the money out my account. Today I went there to get a classic chicken sandwich and I usually ask for no mayo on it. The wait was up to 10 minutes in the drive through line and when I got my sandwich it was drenched in mayo. Wow. One of the worst fast food experiences of my life. It took five minutes for someone to even look at me when I walked into the counter. Then they told me it would be at least 15 minutes if I wanted chicken. I guess chicken is one of those rare and special dishes.... I came back in 15 minutes and then was served another 15 minutes after that. She actually got the order wrong. It was easy to fix, but she did not seem very pleased with having to change to different pieces of chicken The crew seemed very unhappy. One of them was cursing loudly at the cash register tablet. Food was great, very tasty, fresh, BUT, the kiosk ordering is terrible. Not user friendly, obviously created to please the creator, not the customer, and the attitude of the employees, whooo! We (2) ordered food to enjoy in a very small dining area but our food was placed on the counter in paper bags, ignoring our request and wasting two paper bags. The music was so loud you couldn't converse at the table. I ordered Mac n cheese, my friend, Cajun fries. For some reason the fries were put in a separate bag (count three wasted bags). (Both tasted great).Drinks are automatically made to be LARGE, charging an additional fifty cents. (You must choose a type of drink, then edit the size if you don't want large, but that process is made difficult at the kiosk). Then they give you a cup and you can drink anything at the drink station. (Why make me choose?) I guess they don't want you to order a small and get a refill. We watched a few other people come in, clearly confused as to the kiosk system, so they stood at the counter and were ignored for at least five minutes. Once one customer was finally able to place an order with a semi-live human other customers quickly followed, causing a very bad attitude from the semi-live human. (If you order at the kiosk and want to pay with cash you're forced to go to the counter anyway, I'm asumming to wait an additional five minutes to pay). so sad because the food is good, but the rest of the experience is AWFUL. read more

The Popeyes at 1506 McCoy road in Orlando, Florida really needs a NEW manager. AZALEA OCAMPO, the general manager on duty who ruined my lunch hour, needs to be fired. I ordered my food and when it came time to pay it, I had a $100 bill. She refused to take it, that's funny because it's actual currency, and she told me she wasn't going to take it, even though she showed me her drawer full of cash which she could've easily made change. My son is a blue-collar worker, that makes good money. I was sitting in the truck waiting for him the whole time to bring out our food. I visited him during his lunch hour, and the heifer took up the whole time by denying him service. I don't believe she belongs in customer service of any kind. If this is the way Popeyes treats their guests, I can see it going down downhill fast in this economy! When I found out they were finally giving High Point it's first Popeye's I was so excited It's been open for about a week now I think and I finally had the time to stop by. Haven't been in one of the updated models yet and it was very nice. It was fully staffed, nice and clean and the staff were nice and loud announcing orders that were ready. My food was exactly what I ordered, hot and fresh. The only small complaint I had was there was a big sign on the counter referring to the App and collecting point for rewards and when I tried to show the cashier my QR code for my rewards she said they weren't setup for that, so why are you promoting it? read more

Customer Service training for the staff that work at the drive through window is a must! I have been a loyal customer since this establishment opened recently. Since the opening the staff that work there in the drive through window is extremely RUDE. One particular time, I ordered a 3-piece meal side mashed potatoes and a sweet tea, the employee asked me what type of sauce do I want? I said to her, I didn't ask for sauce, just the chicken meal, she went into a rage and dismissed me without telling me my total or have a nice day. I pulled up to the window and there was a young gentleman there collecting payment. I asked him who was the young lady that just took my order. She immediately said I did. What is the problem? Didn't want any confrontation between her attitude and the growing line behind me. Went to drive thru Friday night around 8p.m.,12/6/24. Was not told a total due and just handed over my debit card. I had ordered one of the "12 piece boxes advertised on TV". In the ad it says they have a holiday special of a 12 piece box for $20.00. When handing over my card, I asked if they had some kind of a rice side. She said we have a red beans and rice side, so I said I need a large one. Very quickly a lady came to window handing me a large bag. She said she put my receipt in the bag. I drove home, opened the bag, and saw the on receipt I was charged $29.99 for chicken, $5.49 for large red beans & rice, and $2.48 tax. A grand total of $37.96 for a box of chicken and 1 large side. I forgot to ask for my 10% senior citizen discount until after I paid for my order. When I asked for it, the woman said she couldn't give me discount because the order was 'cashed out.' I asked for the manager and she told me the same thing. Then she told me it wasn't that much anyway. The $2 discount didn't mean much to her, but it means a lot to a senior citizen like myself who is on a fixed income. It was intentional fraud and discrimination. Very horrible first experience. It took 20 minutes to order. Then we waited over 40 minutes for our food. We ended having to get a refund and eat somewhere else. The lobby was a complete mess. We couldn't even sit down if we wanted to. Drink station was unsanitized and not restocked. Couldn't even use the restroom. The bathroom was disgusting, hair all over the sink and disposables on the floor. I was very disappointed because I have never had Popeyes before. Main Street location is the absolute WORST!! Customer service is AWFUL!!!!! No one acknowledged me at the counter, I had to ask them for assistance. I waited 35 minutes for pies that they told me would take 7 minutes to cook. When I did go in to get the pies, they gave me the wrong pies, I brought the pies back to the counter, and had to ask for assistance again when several people saw me standing there and said nothing. When they finally came over, I said you gave me the wrong pies. She takes the bag with the wrong pies and goes into the back. I stood there for a few minutes and asked what's going on with the correct pies. She says oh they got to cook them. Why were the pies not the correct pies that I ordered at the drive-thru at 2:32 when they told me it would be 7 minutes. I did not receive the correct pies until 3:05. I went first thing this morning because I was craving chicken for breakfast. I thought they would irritated since it was so early and to my surprise, they were very amicable and service oriented. The side and biscuit were fine but The chicken might as well been for a kids meal.
