They didn't initially tell us this and the lady taking orders had a nasty attitude when we attempted to order other menu items. She also completed our order before we had finished ordering items for everyone in our party. When we received our chicken tenders, they were lukewarm. If I would've wrote this review last night-- it would've been 1 star. My husband and I came in around midnight of last night since their drive thru is open until 2 AM. When we first pulled into the drive thru they told us that they were only accepting online orders. Strange, but since it's only so much open at the time my husband and I went through with it. We placed the order, it got accepted and then we waited 10 minutes then got back into the drive thru. At this point there were plenty of other cars here who seemed to be doing the same thing. Unfortunately this time when we went through the drive thru and told them we were picking up a mobile order-- they told us to cancel it because they're out of food... We tried to cancel online but the digital receipt did not have a store number located on it. I came in this afternoon and funny enough the 2 people at the counter I spoke with, Victor & Diamond, are both managers. When I explained to them the situation with receipts, they were so kind, understanding, apologetic and dumbfounded at what the hell their night crew is doing at night. Even some of the other coworkers who heard our conversation chimed in saying that they've been aware of it and they tried to tell the managers previously but no real evidence I suppose. They offered me a full refund or to just give me the food. Sunday family of 6 dinner. Ordered ahead via app in hopes of settling the great chicken sandwhich debate (P vs CFA) for ourselves AND to protect against previous disappointment from supply deficiencies. Encountered online system bugs and in-store process challenges, made worse by the COVID climate. When downloading the app, you can't simulate an order (update your cart) without having an account. Once registering an account and activating via email, you're presented with in-app promo offers that ultimately make the order fail even if the requisite conditions are met (first order, over $10, etc). Problem is, the system is designed to process/charge/prepare the order only AFTER you click "I'm close," indicating you're less than 5min away. Didn't discover my order actually failed until I clicked that option. Only way to get it to work was to remove the promo and resubmit my order (5 chicken sandwiches, 2 without mayo). On arrival, the drive thru line looked long, so I parked and went inside, thinking it would be faster based on the confirmation email's promise: "when ready, you're order number will be called." NOPE! Walked in wearing my mask (required) and immediately noticed a long line; though social distancing markers were on the ground, people were everywhere. Store's fault? Maybe! There was 1 person staffing a single register. Worse? Sign said "there's a single line for both walk-in orders and mobile orders." This defeats order ahead. Though I (re)ordered ahead and indicated I was close, it still took me 30+ minutes of standing in line to get my food, which had been sitting there for who knows how long. All that said, by the time I returned home (can't eat in-store yet), everyone was so hungry I didn't have time to snap photos of the sandwiches. Verdict? Wifey and oldest son liked Popeye's crispier breading and bun while everyone else preferred the taste/texture of CFA. Both are the same price with the slight edge to Popeye's for portion size. I'm here to recognize the outstanding customer service that I received today by this location's team members! It is refreshing to visit a Popeyes restaurant where you feel valued and appreciated as a customer. Most locations in this area are plagued with foul-mouthed workers who clearly do not want to be there. I was greeted with a smile upon entering and ordered a 4-piece large meal. She was very patient with me as I kind of stumbled through ordering and was very helpful. The restaurant was clean and well-lit, and the tables, windows, and floors were cleaned, unlike other locations that I've visited. Sometimes the hype is real. Finally got a chance to try their outstanding chicken sandwich. It was incredibly juicy, with a wonderful crispy breading. The sandwich was on a good bun, and included pickle slices and a spicy mayo blend sauce. I really enjoyed it, and at $3.99 is a bargain. I went on Saturday, just before noon and had my sandwich in hand in about 3 minutes after ordering. Granted their was a long drive thru line, but if you're not too lazy to park your car and walk in, service and wait time was no problem. But this is the crazier part, bring your sauce from home with you. They only provide ONE sauce per chicken tender meal. If you would like sauce for your fries, well... i hope you are prepared to pay 29 cents for it. I feel truly sorry for the employees having to enforce such a silly silly rule. We ordered three meals, two chicken sandwich meals with fries and one chicken tender meal with fries. We got one single pack of sauce and were asked to pay 29 cents for any additional packs of sauce. At this point it has been about 20 min. My guess is they are so busy inside that they need a moment to catch up. Since we weren't in a major rush, it didn't bother us that much. We finally place our order and are told to drive up to the window. We should've asked him to repeat our order along with our total. We got our food within a decent timeframe (yay). We ended up with an extra sandwich & with no receipt, I am confused as to whether we "scored" a freebie or paid for it. After doing a bit of guess calculations, we determined we paid for it. Eh, no biggie. More spicy chicken sandwich for my belly!! So...moral of the story is to be prepared to wait if you decide to go through this drive thru, ask them to repeat your order, give your total & receipt (if u like). The single slowest drive-thru I've ever been to is this specific store... every time! I love the chicken, but unfortunately, this is the closest store sometimes. They don't care about their customers, they don't act like they care about their customers, and make little to no effort to improve their drive-thru service. It's been this way for years here.
