Peppers was such a wonderful local dining experience! If you're looking for a cozy, relaxed atmosphere where you can actually enjoy your meal without feeling crowded, this is the place. Thankfully it wasn't busy when we visited, so we could take our time and enjoy the food. The lamb chops were outstanding--perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and packed with flavor. The curry paired with the cooling yogurt sauce took every bite to another level. I ordered Level 1 spice, which was delicious, but next time I'll definitely be a little more adventurous and try Level 2. The cheese naan was another highlight. While it didn't have that dramatic cheese pull you sometimes see, it more than made up for it with flavor. Every bite was filled with plenty of cheese and rich, garlicky goodness, making it the perfect companion to the lamb and curry. The service was just as impressive as the food. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Overall, Peppers delivered delicious food, warm hospitality, and a comfortable dining atmosphere. This place is awesome. An Indian food best. Only way it could be better is if it was closer to my house- I would make it my second kitchen. Here's the deal: It's a small house turned restaurant. Parking is down the asphalt driveway on the side- park in back. Quaint. Small. Intimate. Great place for a date or to bring some friends. Approximately six or seven tables seating 2 - 8 people. At the time we went the restaurant had only been open a month and still putting the finishing touches on a few small things. Even so, it's a very comfortable place and our experience did not lack for anything. Service was fantastic. The thing that makes it great: the owner is serving and/ or cooking and he actually cares that you love your dining experience. Glasses were always full and we were waited on without the service becoming overbearing. No alcohol served while when we were there- might be getting an alcohol license yet- be sure to ask. Sodas, teas and of course water are currently available. Star of the show: THE FOOD. Absolutely amazing. Gobi Manchurian. Lightly breaded cauliflower, fried and served with a mild spicy chili sauce topped with cilantro and little ginger spears. The blend of flavors were amazing- and the fresh herbs put this dish over the top. Add this to your must try list. Chicken tikka masala: was made perfect. It's more tomato forward with just the right amount of cream. Spiced perfectly. Heat scale 1-5. I had a three to be in the safe side and it was a solid three. Feel confident ordering what you typically like for heat. The sauce is made with chunks of green pepper and onion which I prefer and believe it adds just the right flavor to finish the profile. Sauce was 5 stars- fantastic. Pair that with chicken properly marinated (many places do not do this) - no cutting corners here. The result was really one of, if not the best, tikka masala dishes I have had. Highly recommend this. Chicken Korma. Amazing balance of flavors without being overpowering. The cashew comes through perfectly with a buttery sauce, mild but hearty sauce. Perfect comfort food you will want to have stocked in your fridge. Chana masala. Chickpeas cooked perfectly with a light sauce made this a pleasant accompaniment to our entree. Garlic naan. Cooked perfect. It's slightly thicker than some restaurants but not too thick. Cooked to a crisp bottom paired with the butter garlic top. Pleasant texture and wonderful flavor. Don't miss Peppers. I'm always happy when a restaurant opens within biking distance of my home. When I saw Peppers had opened I was psyched! I went for a late lunch on a Wednesday. Parking is in the rear. I ordered food to-go. While waiting for my order I enjoyed a mango lassie. Delicious. It's a pretty small restaurant. I think there were three tables. Some outdoor seating would be great! (Even if it's just a bench to sit on while waiting for your order) I tried the Butter Chicken, with a garlic naan & a cheese naan. It came with rice. Again...everything was delicious! My new mission is to eat through this entire menu! A new Indian spot has just arrived and it does not disappoint. It is in a cute little spot that looks just like a house until you walk inside. Also pro tip, there's parking in the back! Inside is very clean and cute. There's a little "tasting area" which is where we were able to go crazy with all our food. But the idea is order and take to go. They also provide a "tiffin" service which is essentially pre cooked meals, and I am all for it. The worst part was literally choosing what to order because everything sounded so good. Met the cutest couple that personally owns this place. Young couple newly stationed here from Washington State. Husband is an Indian chef for over 15 years. He definitely put his love into each of these dishes I'm so glad we have discovered such a gem. Earlier today I got to enjoy a nice Indian meal with a friend. We shared the starter and bread basket. It was nice try the starter if you don't know what to try first as a starter. The service was great, we came there around 2pm and had the place to ourselves. As my main course I tried chicken Korma at level 2. I think I can go ahead and get the chicken korma at level 3 next time. They had music playing so that was nice during the meal. I ordered a mango lassi with my meal. We stopped in on a hot and muggy Wednesday for a late lunch. We had the restaurant to ourselves. We had water and the starter sample before we launched in to our main course. We each went with the tikka masala with chicken and ordered a side of naan. It was all good. It was so good and plentiful, that we ended up taking most of it home for a later meal. The server was attentive. The building was clean and well lit. The restaurant is a converted home with parking in the rear of the restaurant, requiring one to walk back up the driveway to go to the front entrance. There's one small step to navigate. Although it seems to prioritize carry out service, there are plenty of tables inside the dining area. It's a nice change of pace eatery for the area. It has no liquor license. read more

We went with spice levels 2&3...2 was not spicy at all, 3 was perfect for our liking (not burn your mouth so much you can't taste the food!). HOLY SMOKES!! The Ghobi Manchurian appetizer was DELICIOUS!! It's like boneless buffalo wings but it's actually made of cauliflower Highly recommend getting that over the sampler. I ate that so fast I forgot to take a picture. The Mango Fire Chicken was so crispy yet tender and the sauce on the side was a creamy goodness of flavors. The chef has some Michelin presentation on his dishes. So much care and style with everything. We went all in and started with the Ghobi Manchurian and the starter sampler, and WOW... absolutely incredible. For mains, we tried the house wrap, mango fire chicken, and tikka masala, and every single bite was packed with flavor. Everything was savory, rich, and just straight-up delicious. I probably could've done much hotter but 3 was just right...zingy but not mind numbing. Second dish I ordered was a vindaloo. Omg I thought the tikka masala was good but this was phenomenal. Of course you have to have vindaloo a 5-spicy. I think a few drops of sweat rolled down my forehead but I didn't care. Also ordered roti and it was very tasty and accompanied the food well. Peppers is already my new favorite place to get food in the Hampton Roads area! It is hands down the best Indian food I have had. The owners are so kind and passionate about opening this restaurant, and it truly shows in the quality of the food. Prince is a an Indian chef with 15 years of experience, and his lovely wife is an active duty officer in the Navy. The prices are great for the large portion sizes, and they kindly offer a military discount. I have tried so many menu items, and I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I think the samosas and vegetable pakoras are delicious appetizers. I also loved the aloopeño poppers. They are such a creative menu item, and it is hard to resist delicious fried potato balls stuffed with cheese and jalapeño. For the main courses, I recommend the butter chicken and the lamb biryani with a side of garlic naan. For dessert, I absolutely loved the mango lassi and the coconut naan. They also have traditional Indian sweets that are so delicious and fun to try. I also got a chai to go, and it is so full of delicious flavor with the perfect amount of sweetness. Currently they are a to-go and catering service, and they have a cute area to sit and taste your to-go food. The service is so fast, and the dishes are presented beautifully. This is the most authentic Indian food in the Hamptons Road area. It is a new small family run restaurant with exceptional service which probably made it a very pleasurable experience. Everything appeared to be prepared fresh and tailored to the modifications we requested. We told the chef that we are vegetarian and are looking to have food similar to what we would find in India and what he served up lived up to it 100%.
