This Popeyes has good food, it's decently cleanly, and fairly priced. The main problem with this particular store is that the staff is pretty slow. On two separate occasions I've gone, someone behind the counter(who I assume to be the manager) was loudly berating their staff in front of us. I walked in here on the day after Christmas near closing time. I immediately greeted the cashier and she was busy eating at one of the tables. She said "I will be right with you". Fast forward...I received my order with cold and hard chicken tenders, oddly sweetened fries, and a cold water. The best part of the Popeye's meal was the cold water. The Popeyes location of California is by far the worst location for customer service. I placed an order online @ 3:46pm and realized at 3:50pm that I did not select 50/50 for 12 pieces of chicken that cost me $31.00. I have not had Popeyes in maybe 20 years, so I was excited when I saw there was one in Ruston where I am visiting. I went through the drive thru - to take food back to the hotel. The food was okay - fast food. However, no napkins for takeout; only 2 of the three meals that had side dishes had plasticware to use to eat the sides. It is had to eat coke slaw, rice, and mashed potatoes without utensils. Finally, I ordered dessert to share - and it was not placed in the bag. We tried to call the restaurant- the phone options were manager or corporate. The manager line was message only - and we could not leave a message because it was full. I love this Popeyes! Every time I go there the staff is amazing. They are extremely happy and always have smiles on their faces. The workers seem genuinely happy to be working. It is very refreshing! I have also never had a problem with my order. If anything, they go above and beyond. On more than one occasion I have ordered the chicken tender meal, and when one of the tenders was below average size they threw another one in there for me!
