What a horrible experience . Our first visit was slightly lacking but the food I got today.. I never knew fried chicken could be so bland and disgusting. The chicken had no seasoning on it and I don't think they ever change the oil because the chicken tasted burnt and the French fries were a weird shade of brown. My father and I decided to try Popeyes for the first time today, and the experience for both of us was average at best... I got the 5pc. Mild Tender combo, which consisted of five chicken tenders, a biscuit, a drink, a side, and optional sauce (I got no sauce with my order). For the drink (since, ironically enough, there was no Coke available in a Coca-Cola soda machine), I just got a medium Dr. Pepper, nothing too fancy. As for the side, though, I decided to get a Corn on the Cob, and let me tell you...this is NOT how I like my corn at ALL. All it was, pretty much, was just the cob. No salt, no pepper, no butter to give it some flavor, just the corn cob itself. The biscuit was just...a biscuit, really. I was never one for eating just plain biscuits, so I can't say much about it. [Addendum: When I get a biscuit, I like to get a Sausage Biscuit with cheese from McDonald's at breakfast time.] Out of everything else, the chicken is what saved it, honestly. Each tender had a crispy, golden coat with a nice blend of spice on every piece of chicken I sank my teeth into, and every single bite had a nice crunch to it. As for my dad's order, he got the Spicy Chicken Sandwich combo with Cajun Fries and a Dr. Pepper, as well. He told me it was a good sandwich for the most part, but half of it was dry. And the Cajun Fries were just french fries with some pepper on them. They were good, but nothing exciting. Overall... The tenders were good, the biscuit was there, and the corn was my least favorite out of the entire meal. As for the building itself, the atmosphere was nice, but nothing to really write home about. I've always liked the way KFC looks on the inside more. Speaking of which, Popeyes' chicken was good, but KFC will always be my favorite. With their tenders, you get bigger pieces of meat for a smaller price, in my opinion. (Their 5pc. Tender Meal comes to a total of $7.59, while Popeyes' meal comes to a total of $8.49. That's almost a whole dollar less.) So, in case you don't want to pay a total of over $16 for a tender meal and a sandwich meal without coupons, stick to KFC. On a scale of one to five (one being the worst of the worst, and five being the best of the best), I give it a solid three. The food is okay, but a bit pricy. Here's the most obvious tip....stay away. I don't know who owns it or where the help comes from.....but incompetence is the order of the day. The drive through is either closed,or malfunctioning. The food is more breading than chicken. The infamous chicken sandwich is good, but not worth going through the seven circles of hell to get one. If it is possible to give a 0, I would. The people here have no customer service skills at all and probably all need some sort of training. I've never encountered such rude people in my life. We ordered our food, it was not busy at all. Nobody in the drive thru, and one person in there. We waited for 20 minutes (more than enough time for a fast food place to have made our food), for us to finally go back to the counter, to have the EXACT SAME PERSON WHO RANG OUR FOOD UP, to ask if we ordered yet.... We finally ask for a refund because at that point we no longer wanted to eat there, and the girl who rang us up, gave us all sorts of attitude, the manager gave us a refund without saying a word to us. No "I'm sorry" or anything. Then at this point I'm very upset, and the same girl again, says that she told us we had to wait for them to make the food, which she didn't. Welp, I know where I won't be going again. Was the only person in the drive-thru, so I'm not sure how they could have screwed up my order so bad. For starters, they never have their Mardi Gras Mustard in stock. If you guys know that it's popular, why not stock up on more? I let it slide because I can't expect them to pull it out of their ass, so whatever. I ordered the 3 wing combo (spicy) with red beans and rice and a diet coke. The wings were tiny (again, not much they can do about that), but they were mild and not spicy and they gave me a regular coke instead of diet. Now I have never been to a Popeyes anywhere so I was looking forward to it when we got there it was a little busy but not to bad I order the spicy garlic shrimp my girl ordered the chicken tenders and fries I was stoked for my shrimp having seen the commercial on tv so much it looks so good on tv right well tv lied to me didn't look even close and it didn't come with fries either and on top of all that it just didn't taste good at all I didn't even finish it and my girlfriends meal just as bad as mine but she got fries I tried her fries after tasting hers I was glad mine didn't come with fries.
